Neverness to Everness 1.1 Update Schedule
Based on current banner tracking, NTE Version 1.1 is expected to begin immediately after Hotori's Version 1.0 Phase 2 banner ends on June 3, 2026. Some sources list the update as June 3, while others expect the global rollout around June 4, depending on server timing and maintenance.
Because NTE's pity carries over between limited boards, players who built pity on Hotori's banner can enter Lacrimosa's Phase 1 board with meaningful progress already saved. This makes Version 1.1 much easier to plan than games with hard reset banner systems.
NTE 1.1 Banner Overview
Version 1.1 is expected to feature two new S-Class Espers rather than a rerun-heavy structure. The biggest difference from games like Genshin Impact or Wuthering Waves is that NTE's Limited Board also includes milestone cosmetics. That means the best pull strategy depends on whether you only want the character, want the signature Arc, or want the full outfit/vehicle reward path.
NTE 1.1 New Character Breakdown: Lacrimosa
Lacrimosa is NTE's first dedicated Chaos main DPS. She appears as an "ETD-4 member" during the tutorial battle, so many players have already had an early taste of her combat style. Official drip marketing for Version 1.1 has formally confirmed her S-Class rarity and Chaos element.
Everything about her is full of contrast, from her appearance to her personality. Her half-black, half-white hair reflects her contradictory nature, while her strange obsession with tomatoes, from carrying off a vending machine for ketchup to dreaming about a "tomato castle," has made her one of the most talked-about characters in the 1.1 banner.
Core combat loop: Lacrimosa alternates between two basic attack modes to apply "Nightmare" stacks to enemies, up to 10 stacks. Each stack deals continuous Chaos damage. After her A3 Awakening is unlocked, her 5th hit can detonate all current Nightmare stacks at once, creating a major burst window. Paired with Daffodill's Discord + Break synergy, she can add an extra 400% ATK burst hit during the Broken state.
Many Version 1.0 players already felt her strength through the tutorial trial, and Hotori banner pity carries directly into Lacrimosa's Fading Revery board, which is especially friendly for players who started building pity late in Version 1.0.
NTE 1.1 New Character Breakdown: Chaos
Chaos is the most mysterious character in Version 1.1. Official drip marketing has confirmed his Lakshana element and ETD Sixth Squad background, but his full kit, best Arc choices, and team synergy details have not been fully revealed yet.
Based on what is currently known, his combat loop appears to revolve around the "Crime" charge system. Basic attacks and skills build Crime during close- to mid-range combat. Once the charge is full, he consumes it to trigger powerful follow-up attacks, creating a burst rhythm within the Lakshana Esper Cycle framework. Since Lakshana is still a relatively unexplored element in the current roster, Chaos may open up a completely new direction for team building.
The Forsaken Path board only lasts 14 days (June 24 – July 8), making it the shortest banner window in Version 1.1. Players with limited resources should plan their second-phase Solid Dice stock in advance.
Neverness to Everness 1.1 Pre-Farming Checklist
If you are preparing for Lacrimosa or Chaos, here is what you can start doing now:

Preparing for Lacrimosa (Known Information):
- Reserve Tri-Keys if you plan to chase her signature weapon Arc, "The Last Rose" (CRIT DMG + Chaos Thorn stacking mechanic)

NTE 1.1 Team Comp Predictions
Chaos DoT Core — Recommended Lacrimosa Team
Lacrimosa's highest damage output depends on Discord + Break synergy. Here is the strongest known daily-use team so far:
Chaos DoT — Scorch Esper Cycle Variant
If you already own Baicang, this team can further activate the 15% damage bonus window from Lacrimosa's A2 Awakening:
Expected Chaos Team (To Be Updated After Release)
📢 Pulling Tip: NTE's Scarborough Fair banner has no 50/50 system. S-Class pity is at 90 pulls, and the S-Class character is guaranteed to be the featured UP unit. Pity progress carries over between the same type of limited board. In the worst case, guaranteeing Lacrimosa only takes 90 pulls (90 Solid Dice), which is much more forgiving than most similar games.
NTE's Unique Gacha System: Scarborough Fair
NTE's pull system is quite unique and is called Scarborough Fair. It completely changes the traditional gacha experience: instead of tapping a button and watching an animation, you roll dice on a board and move your piece (Chuppa). The tile you land on determines the reward you receive.
This means that, in the worst case, you need 90 pulls (about 90 Solid Dice) to guarantee the current featured UP character, which is more player-friendly than most similar games.
Should You Pull Lacrimosa or Chaos First?
If your Solid Dice supply is limited, choose your priority based on your current roster:
F2P players in NTE may be able to collect nearly 470 pulls' worth of free resources during Version 1.0, including all missions, events, and login rewards. Since pity carries over, progress built on Hotori's banner will not be wasted. Active players who kept up with Version 1.0 can usually guarantee at least one new character in Version 1.1.
Version Planning After 1.1
Looking beyond Version 1.1, there are several key pieces of information worth watching:
Version 1.1 will also feature the Porsche 918 Spyder collaboration, NTE's first major brand collaboration event. It will bring an exclusive collaboration vehicle and protagonist outfit, and is expected to draw plenty of attention and resource spending.
Based on leaked character lists, future versions may introduce several new characters such as Alphard, Black Bird, Akane, Illica, and Jenson from factions including CSU and LINES, covering a wide range of elements and roles. The Lakshana unit Hathor (S-Class · buff support) has also appeared in leaked lists and may become a strong teammate for Chaos.
Players with enough resources should enjoy Version 1.1 while also reserving Solid Dice for future high-value banners. Managing your Etherealite spending from now on is the right move.
Summary
Version 1.1 is NTE's first major update after launch, bringing two very different new S-Class characters: Lacrimosa, a Chaos DoT main DPS, and Chaos, a mysterious Lakshana DPS. For players who saved heavily during Version 1.0, this is the best time to convert those resources into real account power.
NTE's no 50/50 + pity carryover system is one of the most generous gacha experiences among major titles, meaning every resource you saved in Version 1.0 still matters. Lacrimosa has already proven her strength in the tutorial, while Chaos brings new possibilities to the Lakshana system. Plan wisely and pull according to your roster needs.

FAQ
When does NTE 1.1 launch?
Version 1.1 is confirmed to launch on June 3, 2026, directly after Hotori's "Misty Tipsy Style" banner ends. Exact maintenance timing is subject to the official announcement, but server reset usually happens at 4:00 PM Pacific Time.
Should I pull Lacrimosa or Chaos first?
If you need a Chaos main DPS or want a strong DoT team, prioritize Lacrimosa. Her kit has already been tested, her banner lasts longer (21 days vs. 14 days), and Hotori pity carries over directly. If you already have Lacrimosa and want to explore the Lakshana system, then consider Chaos.
How is NTE's gacha system different from other games?
NTE uses the unique board-and-dice system "Scarborough Fair." It has no traditional 50/50 system. On limited banners, the S-Class character is 100% the featured UP unit, hard pity is at 90 pulls, and soft pity starts from pull 70. Pity progress carries over between the same type of limited board instead of resetting when the banner changes.
How many Solid Dice do I need to guarantee Lacrimosa?
In the worst case, you need 90 Solid Dice, because pull 90 is the hard pity. Since there is no 50/50, you do not have to worry about losing pity to an off-banner character. If you also want her signature weapon Arc, "The Last Rose," you will need to prepare Tri-Keys separately for the Arc Research Program.
What is Chaos's full kit?
Official information currently confirms that Chaos is a Lakshana close- to mid-range DPS, with a core mechanic built around "Crime charge → follow-up attacks." His full skill data has not been released yet. We will update this page as soon as Version 1.1 goes live.
Does Lacrimosa overlap with other Chaos characters in NTE?
Lacrimosa is currently NTE's first dedicated Chaos main DPS, filling the offensive core slot for that element. Her Nightmare DoT mechanic is unique in the current roster and does not overlap with other role-focused characters.
