Prune is one of the most anticipated 4-star characters arriving in Genshin Version 6.6. As an off-field Anemo support and sub-DPS, she revolves around triggering Swirl reactions to convert her hammer into an elemental damage dealer, while providing a team-wide ATK-scaling damage buff. Below is everything you need to build her effectively — kit breakdown, weapons, artifacts, materials, best teams, and pull advice.

Prune's Kit Breakdown

Prune's gameplay centers on off-field Swirl pressure and an ATK-scaling team buff. Her Skill triggers Swirl to unlock an elemental-infused follow-up attack; her Burst summons a bell that stays on the field, attacks automatically, and generates extra hammer strikes every time it triggers Swirl. The buff she grants — Tolling Rally / Ringing Inspiration — scales directly with her ATK, making ATK the most important stat to build.

⬥ Normal Attack — Badaboom! Hexbuster Hammer

Normal AttackPerforms up to 3 hits with the Hexhunter Oathhammer, dealing Anemo DMG.
Charged AttackConsumes Stamina and performs an upward hammer swing, dealing Anemo DMG to enemies in front.
Plunging AttackPlunges from mid-air, dealing AoE Anemo DMG on impact.

⬥ Elemental Skill — Ring-A-Ding-Ding! Hexhunter Chime

Prune strikes the Witchlure Bell, dealing Anemo DMG. If the hit triggers Swirl, the Skill upgrades to Clang Clang! Witch-tribution Comes! for the next 6 seconds.

Clang Clang!
Witch-tribution Comes!
The Banehunter Oathhammer absorbs the element involved in the previous Swirl. On press, Prune leaps forward and kicks the hammer at enemies, dealing DMG of the corresponding element.
Key MechanicAfter the infused Banehunter Oathhammer hits an enemy, nearby party members gain Tolling Rally for 5s: all DMG dealt by the affected character is increased based on Prune's ATK exceeding 1,000 — every excess ATK point adds 0.01% DMG, up to a maximum bonus of +35%.

⬥ Elemental Burst — The Bell Tolls! The Hunt is On!

Prune rings the Witchlure Bell, dealing Anemo DMG to nearby enemies, then enters Hunter-Seeker Mode.

Hunter-Seeker ModeThe bell follows the active character and attacks nearby enemies at intervals, dealing AoE Anemo DMG (counted as Burst DMG). Prune does not need to stay on field — the bell persists and tracks automatically.
Swirl Proc BonusEach time the bell's attack triggers Swirl, a Banehunter Oathhammer is summoned above the enemy, dealing 150% of Prune's ATK as the corresponding elemental DMG (also counted as Burst DMG).

⬥ Passive Talents

Verdict and PunishmentThis is the passive that unlocks the Swirl-summoned hammer described in the Burst section above — when the bell in Hunter-Seeker mode deals DMG that triggers Swirl, it summons an infused Banehunter Oathhammer dealing 150% of Prune's ATK as the corresponding element (Burst DMG).
Tolling SynchronicityAfter the infused Banehunter Oathhammer hits an enemy, nearby party members gain Tolling Rally for 5s: DMG from Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Bursts is increased based on the portion of Prune's ATK exceeding 1,000. Every excess point adds 0.01% DMG, up to a cap of +35%. To hit the cap, Prune needs at least 4,500 ATK total.
Hexerei: Secret Rite
(Hexerei Synergy)
After completing Witch's Homework, Prune becomes a Hexerei character. When the party includes at least 2 Hexerei characters, the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect activates: after a Hexerei character affected by Tolling Rally triggers any Elemental Reaction, Prune's ATK is increased by 45% for 5s. If the reaction is a Swirl reaction, the triggering character also gains an additional +20% ATK for 5s.

Talent Priority

Burst Q > Skill E >>> Normal Attack

Prune is a Burst-first character. Her Burst is where the bulk of her sustained value lives — it summons the bell, and the bell's Hunter-Seeker attacks trigger Swirl to summon the extra Oathhammer hits that all count as Burst DMG. Her Skill comes second because it's the trigger for Tolling Rally, which is her team buff hook. Normal Attack has no meaningful interaction with her kit outside of rare on-field niche scenarios and can safely be left at level 1.

Prune Recommended Stats

ATK4,500+ — this is the threshold where Tolling Rally hits its +35% DMG cap (requires 3,500 ATK above the 1,000 baseline). Building around this number should be the primary goal.
Energy Recharge180%–220% — required for consistent Burst uptime every rotation. Lower end is achievable if the team provides Wind particles; aim for the higher end when Prune is the only Anemo unit.
Artifact Main StatsTimepiece: ATK% (swap to Energy Recharge if ER is insufficient) / Goblet: ATK% or Anemo DMG Bonus / Circlet: ATK%

Best Weapons for Prune

All of Prune's weapon choices prioritize high Base ATK and ATK% — both directly raise the Tolling Rally buff ceiling and her personal damage output. Energy Recharge is a secondary consideration for maintaining Burst uptime.

Best Artifacts for Prune

Viridescent Venerer is Prune's best-in-slot in virtually every team. Her entire kit revolves around Swirl — the Skill upgrades after Swirl, the Burst generates bonus hammers from Swirl procs, and her passives reward consistent Swirl uptime. The 40% RES shred amplifies the whole team's damage output, making 4pc VV the default choice regardless of team composition.

Prune Constellation Overview

Unlike many 4-star supports that require constellations before they become functional, Prune's C0 kit is already complete. The full team buff, Swirl follow-up damage, and off-field bell pressure are all available from the start. Constellations add ATK scaling and quality-of-life, not missing core functionality.

How to Play Prune

Prune is a quick-swap off-field support. Her on-field time is minimal — she enters, sets up her bell, and swaps out. The bell then does the work autonomously.

Standard Rotation:

  1. Have another character apply a non-Anemo element to the enemy first.
  2. Swap to Prune → Press Elemental Skill E to trigger Swirl (the Skill automatically upgrades). Press the upgraded Skill to fire the infused hammer and apply Tolling Rally to the team.
  3. Use Elemental Burst Q to summon the Witchlure Bell in Hunter-Seeker mode.
  4. Swap to your main DPS. The bell follows them automatically and continues generating Swirl procs and bonus hammer hits off-field.
  5. Repeat next rotation when the bell expires, and Burst comes back off cooldown.

💡 The Burst can be cast at the very end of Prune's on-field window — the bell will immediately start following whoever you swap to next. Make sure another element is already on the enemy before swapping to Prune, otherwise her Skill will deal plain Anemo DMG and miss the Swirl upgrade.

Prune Best Teams

Prune slots naturally into any Swirl-friendly team. Her highest value is in Hexerei compositions, where the Secret Rite passive stacks additional ATK on top of Tolling Rally.

⭐ Core Hexerei Team (Recommended)

Main DPS
Lohen

Lohen

On-field Cryo DPS. Tolling Rally directly raises the ceiling on Etched Into Bone and Soul, and Prune's Swirl procs help fill Triumph passively.

Nicole

Nicole

Hexerei Pyro support — shield, ATK buff, Phantom Projection amplification. Triggering Melt activates Hexerei: Secret Rite on Prune, stacking +45% ATK for even higher Tolling Rally values.
Off-field DPS
Durin

Durin

Highest Triumph generation for Lohen. His single-hit multipliers frequently exceed 4000% of Lohen's Base ATK, triggering Forbidden Admonition for +60 Triumph per proc.

4pc VV RES shred, Tolling Rally +35% team DMG, bell Swirl procs for extra Triumph generation, and Hexerei: Secret Rite ATK stacking.

❄️ Freeze Team

SlotCharacterRole & Contribution
Main DPSLohen
Lohen
Frozen enemies stay in place, greatly improving AoE hit consistency for his Normal Attack chain.
Hydro Support
Furina

Furina / Mona / Kokomi

Consistent Hydro for Freeze. Furina adds Fanfare team DMG stacking. Kokomi brings healing and reliable off-field Hydro.
Off-field DPSDurin
Durin
Primary Triumph engine regardless of team archetype. His element does not interfere with Freeze upkeep.

VV shreds both Cryo and Hydro RES simultaneously. Tolling Rally applies to all team members. Bell tracks frozen enemies cleanly.

💡 Durin is Prune's (and Lohen's) highest-priority off-field partner across all team types. If you don't have Durin yet, Xiangling and Fischl are partial substitutes, though Triumph generation for Lohen will be notably slower.

Should You Pull for Prune?

Yes, especially if you're building Lohen or investing in the Hexerei roster. Prune is one of the most independently valuable 4-star supports in 6.6, and her entry cost is low — she appears on both Phase 1 event banners alongside Nicole, so you have two windows to collect her before the patch ends.

Final Thoughts

Prune is a 4-star Anemo Catalyst off-field support built around Swirl-driven follow-up damage and an ATK-scaling team buff that caps at +35% DMG for all party members.

She slots into Hexerei, Freeze, and Melt compositions equally well, activates Hexerei: Secret Rite for an additional +45% ATK in faction teams, and delivers meaningful value from C0 — making her one of the most accessible and well-rounded support units in Version 6.6.

FAQ

When is Prune's banner?

Prune is expected to appear in Version 6.6 Phase 1 (~May 20, 2026), alongside Nicole's 5-star banner. As a 4-star, she may also appear on Lohen's Phase 2 banner (~June 8, 2026). Official confirmation will come at the Version 6.6 Special Program livestream on May 8, 2026.

What is the Tolling Rally buff exactly?

After Prune's infused Banehunter Oathhammer hits an enemy, nearby party members gain Tolling Rally for 5 seconds. During this window, all their damage is increased by 0.01% for every point of Prune's ATK above 1,000, up to a maximum bonus of +35%. To hit that cap, Prune needs approximately 4,500 total ATK (1,000 baseline + 3,500 in excess).

Does Prune need to stay on the field?

No. Once she has cast her Skill (triggering Swirl and firing the infused hammer to apply Tolling Rally) and used her Burst (summoning the bell), she can be swapped out immediately. The bell follows the active character and continues attacking off-field with no further input required.

How does Prune compare to Kazuha?

Kazuha provides a higher elemental DMG bonus in mono-element compositions and has better AoE grouping. Prune's Tolling Rally is a universal DMG multiplier that applies to all attack types and is not element-specific, which makes her more flexible in mixed-element teams. In Hexerei teams specifically, Prune's faction synergy gives her an edge. The two are not direct replacements — Kazuha is stronger in pure-element and grouped scenarios; Prune is stronger in Hexerei and reaction-heavy teams.

Should I pull Prune before Lohen?

Yes, if you plan to use them together. Prune's banner comes first (Phase 1), and since she's a 4-star, collecting her alongside Nicole costs relatively few pulls. Saving resources specifically for Lohen's Phase 2 banner while picking up Prune naturally during Phase 1 is the most efficient approach. If resources are very tight, prioritize whoever fills the larger gap in your current roster.
