You need to reach Adventure Rank 10 before you can redeem any code. Completing story quests, opening chests, and doing daily commissions will help you level up quickly. Once you meet the requirement, you can redeem codes in two ways:
Method 1: Redeem Through the Official Website
This is the fastest and easiest option.

- Log in with your HoYoverse account (email, Google, Apple, Facebook, etc.)
- Select your server region
- Enter your in-game nickname

Why Is My Genshin Impact Code Not Working?
If a code fails to redeem, it’s usually due to one of the reasons below:
- Typing mistakes: Check that every letter and number matches exactly. Make sure you didn’t mix up O/0 or I/1. Copy and paste the code and remove any extra spaces or line breaks.
- Expired or maxed out: Most codes are time-limited or limited in total uses. Livestream codes often last only 24 to 48 hours.
- Adventure Rank too low: Most codes require AR 10 or higher. You cannot redeem them if your rank is below the requirement.
- Already redeemed: Each code can be used only once per account. Entering it again will show an “already redeemed” message.
- Region restrictions: Some codes only work on certain servers. If you get a “code not valid for this region” message, try a global code instead.
- Game version or server issues: Outdated clients or ongoing maintenance can block redemption. Update your game or try again later.
After a successful redemption, rewards are sent to your in-game mailbox. If you don’t see the mail right away, relog or wait a moment.
