Snezhnaya has turned into the patch every Genshin player is quietly obsessing over. Version 7.0 gave us Cryo Traveler and Stellar-Swirl, and now Version 7.1 is finally sending the Traveler face-to-face with the Tsaritsa herself.

The character everyone's actually waiting for is the Cryo Archon. After years of Fatui schemes and Gnosis handovers, the current roadmap places the Tsaritsa and Danica in Version 7.3. That same roadmap correctly called the Version 7.1 lineup ahead of time, so it's earned more trust than your average pre-beta rumor.

Their designs and story roles are already out — it's the kit details, banner order, and rerun slots that are still missing, and those need the beta and Special Program to fill in.

If your Primogem stash is looking thin before the Snezhnaya banners hit, GamsGo has a straightforward Genshin top up option for grabbing Genesis Crystals.

A quick note on sourcing: everything in this piece is a reasonable read on the leaks and information available right now — none of it has been verified through actual gameplay or an official kit reveal. If new leaks or more reliable information surface, we'll update this article as soon as possible.

Will the Tsaritsa Release in Genshin 7.3?

Version 7.3 is the clear front-runner. The leaked roadmap had Vesna and Vodyanitsa in 7.1, Mitya and Valeriy in 7.2, and the Tsaritsa and Danica in 7.3. HoYoverse has since confirmed the 7.1 pair — exactly the kind of early hit that makes the rest of the list worth trusting.

The story points the same way. Version 7.1 puts the Traveler in front of the Tsaritsa for the first time and starts explaining why she's been collecting Gnoses. That's not proof of a banner date, but it does make a winter 7.3 debut feel like the next logical Archon Quest beat rather than a name pulled off a spreadsheet.

Genshin 7.3 Release Date and Banner Schedule

Version 7.1 is locked in for September 23, 2026. Assuming Genshin keeps its usual six-week cadence, that puts Version 7.2 around November 4 and Version 7.3 at December 16, 2026, with Phase 2 following around January 6, 2027.

If the testing schedule holds, the 7.3 beta should open around when 7.2 drops — usually when real Talent descriptions, animations, and material lists start leaking. The test build might hint at the banner lineup, but phase order and featured 4-stars still need separate confirmation.

Expected Genshin 7.3 Banner Characters

The roadmap currently points to two new limited 5-stars. Danica is also described as a Stellar Linchpin — the in-game term for a character who powers up or unlocks the Stellar reaction system. Rerun slots are still open, and there's no trustworthy phase order or 4-star lineup yet.

Nothing confirms both newcomers will share Phase 1. Version 7.1 proves HoYoverse is willing to put two new 5-stars on one banner, but one patch doing it once isn't a rule for every patch after it.

Tsaritsa Lore, Identity, and Appearance

Her full name is Anastasya Feodorovna Snezhnaya. She took over as ruler of Snezhnaya — and its Cryo Archon — after the Belyi Tsar fell during the Cataclysm roughly 500 years ago.

She commands the Fatui Harbingers, whose search for the Gnoses has trailed the Traveler through every nation since Mondstadt. HoYoverse hasn't confirmed her playable rarity, weapon, or Constellations, and no banner date has been announced.

Her Sudden Snow reveal is the first clear look at her: silver-white hair, pale blue eyes and lashes, pointed ears, and a layered white-and-blue royal outfit with icy detailing. In the footage she holds a long, polearm-like weapon — though a cinematic prop doesn't necessarily confirm what she'll wield as a playable character.

Though she's never actually appeared in an Archon Quest, the Tsaritsa has quietly steered the main story since Version 1.0 — her Harbingers are the reason separate regional conflicts turned out to be one long plot: collecting Gnoses for Snezhnaya.

Why the Tsaritsa Rebelled After the Cataclysm

The original Travail trailer framed the Tsaritsa around love and a coming rebellion against the divine. "God of Love" is still fan shorthand, not an official title, but love clearly sits at the center of her story — and the Cataclysm looks like the event that changed how she expresses it.

Venti says she changed after the Cataclysm and cut ties with him. Childe remembers a gentler soul who hardened herself while chasing peace; Arlecchino acknowledges her compassion without giving her a free pass. Together, that's a ruler who still cares deeply but has made peace with brutal methods.

The Sudden Snow trailer makes the loss personal: a child calls her "Mother," and Ronova tears away part of an image tied to that moment. It could be a lost child, an erased partner, or something symbolic — the trailer confirms none of it.

What it does establish is a real wound behind her rebellion. Her motives may be sympathetic; the damage the Fatui have caused doesn't get her an easy pass on it.

Genshin Tsaritsa Kit Leaks and Gameplay

The leaks are unusually detailed for a pre-beta character, but still lack real Talent text, multipliers, cooldowns, or tested rotations. Treat them as clues to her team's shape, not a build guide.

Tsaritsa Weapon: Bow Leak Explained

Pre-beta data lists her as a Bow user. The polearm-like weapon in her reveal isn't necessarily a contradiction — Childe equips a Bow but fights with summoned melee weapons, and Raiden Shogun equips a Polearm but draws a sword during her Burst.

That's as far as the evidence goes. It doesn't tell us whether she uses Charged Attacks, switches stances, or fires spear-shaped projectiles. Her animations and Talent text will settle that once beta opens.

Tsaritsa Role: Main DPS or Support?

One report gives her two modes: stay on-field for around 15 seconds with Cryo-infused attacks, or build a resource through Stellar reactions, swap in for a short damage window, then hand the field back.

It's unclear whether that infusion changes her stance entirely or just converts her attacks to Cryo.

That distinction matters if you own Sandrone — a purely on-field Cryo carry would compete with her for field time, while a quick-swap Tsaritsa could deal damage alongside her. Vesna and Mitya come up as possible teammates too, but "works together" isn't the same as "best team."

Tsaritsa CRIT Conversion and Stellar-Conduct Mechanics

Her support mode supposedly grants CRIT buffs and converts CRIT Rate above the cap into CRIT DMG at a 1:2 ratio — 10 percentage points over the 100% cap becoming 20 percentage points of CRIT DMG. That's an illustration, not a build target; neither number has appeared in official Talent text.

Cryo Resonance complicates it further, since it already adds 15% CRIT Rate against Frozen or Cryo-affected enemies without showing up on the character sheet. We don't know if the conversion reads displayed CRIT Rate, per-hit effective rate, or both.

Stellar-Conduct is a separate, confirmed mechanic: with a Stellar Linchpin in the party, Cryo and Electro create a Polestar Field, which tracks hits in four-second cycles and uses the stacks to buff Cryo, Electro, and direct Stellar-Conduct damage.

Current reports say those same interactions also charge the Tsaritsa's personal resource, but there's no stack cap, damage formula, or clear description of her rumored special Charged Attack yet.

Genshin Danica Kit and Role

Danica isn't just a name next to the Tsaritsa on a roadmap. In the Version 7.0 story she's the head housemaid of Zapolyarny Palace, from a family that's served Snezhnaya's royal household for generations.

Her Sudden Snow train scene plays that role against type: the poise of a maid, the reflexes of an assassin.

Official footage shows an Electro Stellar Linchpin mark on her upper back. She's visually much warmer than the Tsaritsa's icy palette — green-and-white maid outfit, pale headpiece, small red accents. None of that confirms her combat role; her reported 5-star rarity, Claymore, and Version 7.3 slot are all still pre-beta rumors.

Expected DebutVersion 7.3 alongside the Tsaritsa (roadmap leak)

The most consistent claim is Cryo and Electro RES Shred — lowering enemy resistance to both elements, which fits naturally into a Polestar Field team.

Other reports mention off-field Electro application, interruption resistance, a shield, or healing, but disagree on which tools she'd have at C0.

One version puts her healing behind C2. If true, a C0 Danica wouldn't replace your healer; if not, her value changes. No reliable percentages, durations, or uptime figures exist yet.

The dream team players keep sketching is Tsaritsa, Danica, Odette, and Mitya: the Archon takes the main damage window, Odette covers the Cryo side of Stellar-Conduct, Danica and Mitya handle Electro utility and damage.

Genshin 7.3 Rerun Banner Predictions

No Version 7.3 rerun is locked in yet. Sandrone and Odette get brought up most, since both tie naturally into Stellar-Conduct — but that's banner logic, not schedule evidence, and recency has never reliably predicted a rerun in this game. Hold off until something firmer shows up, or the Special Program names names.

Is the Tsaritsa Worth Pulling in Genshin 7.3?

Ask yourself one thing first: do you want the Tsaritsa herself, or her whole team before her kit even exists? The first is easy to plan around. The second depends on mechanics that are still moving targets.

Your Wish List

The Smart Reserve

Tsaritsa first

Keep up to 180 pulls for C0 before spending on another 7.x character.

Tsaritsa + Danica

360 pulls is the worst-case ceiling from zero pity and no guarantees; your own pity may lower it.

Already own Sandrone or Odette

Let the 7.3 test build show whether your existing unit covers a core slot.

Considering Mitya only for her team

Wait for his actual off-field uptime and her field-time demands.

F2P with no Stellar roster

Aim for C0; try Cryo Traveler and accessible Electro options before budgeting for another limited 5-star.

A Character Event Wish guarantees a 5-star within 90 pulls; if it isn't the featured one, the next 5-star is guaranteed to be. From zero pity, that's 180 pulls, or 28,800 Primogems, as the worst-case cost for one limited 5-star — 360 pulls, or 57,600 Primogems, for two.

Most people spend less, but I plan around the full ceiling — losing one 50/50 shouldn't wreck the next banner too.

Constellations and signature weapons are impossible to judge this early; the reported C1/C2 effects keep shifting and there's no reliable weapon comparison yet. Get the character first, judge upgrades once there's an actual kit to test.

Genshin 7.3 Tsaritsa Banner: Final Thoughts

If you've followed the Fatui since Signora's Mondstadt ambush, you know why this is bigger than "next Cryo 5-star." The Tsaritsa has driven half the game's plot for years without ever being playable — Version 7.3 is when that changes, and it looks like she won't be walking in alone.

Her design and story have earned the buildup. What's left is for the beta to answer the practical stuff: how long she needs on-field, whether she plays nicely with Sandrone, and whether Danica brings something your roster genuinely can't.

If your saved Primogems are still a little short when the banner finally drops, a Genshin top up can help close that last gap with some extra Genesis Crystals — just figure out your limit ahead of time so you're not making that call mid-pull.

Genshin 7.3 Banner FAQ

How Many Version 7.1 Anniversary Wishes Can I Save for 7.3?

The anniversary gifts guarantee at least 20 wishes: 10 Intertwined Fates directly, plus 1,600 Primogems that buy 10 more. Anything beyond that depends on how much of 7.1's events, exploration, and quests you clear.

Can I Use the Version 7.1 Free 5-Star Selector on the Tsaritsa?

No. That reward picks from a set list of event-exclusive 5-stars. Since the Tsaritsa isn't a playable 7.1 character, the selector can't give you a free copy of her.

Does Character Banner Pity Carry Over to Version 7.3?

Yes. Your Character Event Wish pity and featured-character guarantee carry forward, and concurrent character banners share that progress. The Weapon Event Wish tracks pity separately.

Will Ronova's Weekly Boss Drops Be Needed for the Tsaritsa?

Not confirmed. Ronova becomes a Weekly Boss in 7.1, so it's worth watching, but her Talent materials haven't been announced — hold off on committing Resin to a guess.

Does Losing a Gnosis Make an Archon Powerless?

No. A Gnosis isn't a Vision, so losing one doesn't strip an Archon's elemental power — Venti, Zhongli, Ei, and Nahida all still wield their abilities without holding their own Gnosis. The Tsaritsa's plan is about what all seven Gnoses can do together, not about denying elemental power.

What Will the Tsaritsa's Playable Name Be?

HoYoverse has used "Anastasya Feodorovna Snezhnaya" in story content but hasn't shown her character screen. Both names are plausible; neither is confirmed. For now, players use both interchangeably.

When Will the Tsaritsa Rerun After Version 7.3?

No rerun window has been announced. Every Archon has returned eventually, so a rerun is a reasonable bet — but that pattern doesn't come with a date. If she's your priority, keep a debut-sized reserve rather than banking on an unscheduled rerun.
