Wuthering Waves 3.3 New Resonators: Hiyuki & Denia

Hiyuki — Glacio Sword Main DPS

Hiyuki
AttributeDetails
Rarity5-Star ★★★★★
ElementGlacio
WeaponSword
RoleBurst Main DPS
Key MechanicGlacio Chafe (10 stacks → Freeze + massive DMG amp → detonate)
PlaystyleDual-form transformation + AoE sword wave burst windows
vs. CarlottaCarlotta = sustained output. Hiyuki = short explosive windows. No overlap.
Best PartnersChisa (Chafe accelerator) + Lucilla (Glacio Rectifier, 3.4+)

Hiyuki is a shrine maiden from Startorch Academy in Lahai-Roi with ties to the Threnodian Aleph-1. She debuted in the Version 3.2 Companion Quest and immediately became one of the most anticipated Resonators.

As the 2nd anniversary flagship, she fills the premium Glacio Main DPS slot that has been vacant for over a year since Carlotta. The voice director also confirmed recording emotionally intense scenes for 3.3, suggesting Hiyuki will be central to the main story.

Without Chisa, reaching 10 Chafe stacks requires a longer on-field rotation, directly capping Hiyuki's DPS ceiling. Looking further ahead, Lucilla (expected 3.4+) completes the full Glacio trio, similar to how Iuno completes Augusta's Electro team.

Pulling Hiyuki now means locking in the core piece for a team that will only get stronger over time.

Denia — Fusion Rectifier Sub DPS

Denia
AttributeDetails
Rarity5-Star ★★★★★
ElementFusion
WeaponRectifier
RoleOff-field Sub DPS / Burst Stack Provider
Key MechanicGrants Fusion Burst stacks from off-field → faster DoT detonations
Problem She SolvesFusion's chronic support gap (20s+ rotations, energy issues). No substitute exists.
Best PartnersAemeath (DoT carry) + Mornye (healer/buffer)
PersonalityStartorch 3rd-year, Roya tribe. Attends every lecture, nods off, jolts awake, repeat. Joined every club.

Denia is the missing piece Fusion teams have been waiting for. Unlike Electro (where Iuno supports Augusta) or Glacio (which has multiple sub DPS options), Fusion has had zero dedicated off-field Burst support until now.

If you own Aemeath, Denia is not a "nice to have" — she is the difference between a functional team and an optimized one.

If both Aemeath and Mornye rerun in the 3.3 anniversary wave, this becomes the best single-patch window to build a complete Fusion DoT team from scratch.

New Mornye Outfit

According to Seele leaks, Mornye (Linnémornyé) will receive a new costume in Version 3.3. No specific details about the outfit design have been revealed yet. Given the 2nd anniversary timing, this may be a paid costume or a limited event reward. We will update this section once the official announcement is made.

Wuthering Waves 3.3 Team Composition Predictions

Glacio Burst — Hiyuki Core Team

The premier Glacio comp of 3.3. Hiyuki provides burst DPS, Chisa accelerates Chafe stacks, and a healer/buffer rounds it out.

Chisa

Zani

Zani or Verina
Universal healer/buffer

Chisa accelerates Glacio Chafe buildup so Hiyuki reaches 10 stacks faster, maximizing burst window frequency. Zani or Verina provide healing and damage buffs. This is the safest Day 1 comp for Hiyuki — both supports are widely available.

Glacio Burst — Future Best-in-Slot (3.4+)

Once Lucilla releases, this becomes Hiyuki's ceiling team.

Full Glacio trio. Lucilla is expected to provide Glacio-specific buffs and resonance synergy that universal supports cannot match. Similar to how Augusta + Iuno became the definitive Electro core, Hiyuki + Chisa + Lucilla is projected to be the Glacio equivalent. Securing Hiyuki now means you are already 1/3 of the way to this comp.

Fusion DoT — Aemeath + Denia Core

Denia fills the chronic support gap in Fusion teams. If Aemeath reruns in 3.3, this entire team becomes buildable in one patch.

Denia

Mornye

Mornye
Fusion healer/buffer · Rerun expected

Denia's off-field Fusion Burst stacks let Aemeath trigger DoT detonations without losing field time, drastically shortening rotations. Mornye provides healing and Fusion buffs.

Before Denia, Aemeath teams suffered from 20+ second rotations; with Denia, expect this to drop significantly. If both Aemeath and Mornye rerun in the anniversary wave, this is the most complete team you can build in a single patch.

📢 Bonus: Wuthering Waves' 5-star pity is at 80 pulls. The worst case to guarantee a featured Resonator is 160 pulls (~25,600 Astrite). With GamsGo's Wuthering Waves Top-Up, you can save up to 30% on Astrite — making that guaranteed pull significantly cheaper.

Pull Strategy: Hiyuki vs. Denia — Who Should You Pull First?

If your Astrite is limited, you need to prioritize based on your roster and goals.

ScenarioRecommendedReason
No Glacio Main DPS, or Carlotta feels outdatedHiyuki2nd anniversary flagship = strong S0 balancing guaranteed. Glacio Chafe is a completely new mechanic that won't overlap with Carlotta. Long-term value increases when Lucilla arrives in 3.4+.
Already have Aemeath, frustrated by long rotationsDeniaImmediately noticeable improvement: shorter rotations + higher team damage. No other Fusion sub DPS can fill this role. Denia is not replaceable in Aemeath's optimal team.
Need both a Glacio DPS and a complete Fusion teamBothWorst case requires ~320 pulls (~51,200 Astrite). Achievable with 3.2 savings + 2nd anniversary rewards (historically 30+ free pulls worth of resources). Budget tightly across both phases.
No Aemeath and no Fusion team plansHiyukiHigher standalone value. Hiyuki works with existing universal supports (Zani, Verina) on Day 1, and scales further when Lucilla releases. Denia without Aemeath has limited use.
Less than 160 pulls worth of AstriteHiyukiAnniversary flagships historically perform well at S0 — Kuro Games designs them as showcase units. Safer investment for limited resources.
Saving for Version 3.4 (Cyberpunk collab rumored)Skip or selective3.4 may bring Lucy and Rebecca as limited Resonators + Lucilla as Glacio support. If you can handle current endgame, skipping 3.3 and entering 3.4 fully stocked is viable — but Hiyuki's Glacio Chafe mechanic makes her harder to skip than most.

F2P players earn roughly 8,000 to 10,000 Astrite per 42-day patch cycle — about 50 to 62 pulls. The full 3.2-to-3.3 window gives you one complete savings cycle before Hiyuki's banner goes live. Combined with 2nd anniversary freebies, most active F2P players should be able to guarantee at least one new Resonator.

What Comes After 3.3

The post-3.3 roadmap is worth keeping an eye on for long-term Astrite planning:

Version 3.4 is expected to feature a Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration (not officially confirmed), with Lucy (Lucia Kushinada) and Rebecca potentially arriving as limited Resonators. Collab characters in gacha games are typically time-limited with no reruns, making them high-priority targets for collectors.

After 3.4, Lucilla, the president of Startorch Academy, is expected to debut as a Glacio Rectifier Resonator. She is the missing piece for Hiyuki's ceiling team. In other words, high-value banners are lined up from 3.3 all the way through 3.4+, making long-term resource management absolutely critical. Starting to save Astrite now is the smart play.

Pre-Farming Checklist

If you are targeting Hiyuki or Denia, here is what you can start preparing right now:

General Prep:

  • Save Astrite (target: at least 160 pulls = ~25,600 Astrite for one guaranteed 5-star)
  • Farm universal ascension materials (Shell Credits, EXP materials)
  • Regularly check Wuthering Waves Redeem Codes for free resources

Pre-Farming for Hiyuki (Expected):

  • Farm Glacio Echo sets (prioritize sets with Crit DMG / Glacio DMG substats)
  • Ascension boss materials (to be confirmed after official reveal)
  • Sword enhancement materials + Glacio weapon enhancement materials

Pre-Farming for Denia (Expected):

  • Farm Fusion Echo sets
  • Rectifier enhancement materials
  • Ascension boss materials (to be confirmed after official reveal)

Exact ascension materials will be updated once test server data is released. Bookmark this page!

Final Thoughts

Version 3.3 is a 2nd anniversary patch, which means generous login rewards, free pulls, and a massive rerun wave on top of two new limited Resonators. If you have been saving Astrite during 3.2, this is the patch to spend it. If you have not started saving yet, every day from now until April 29 counts.

FAQ

When Does Wuthering Waves 3.3 Update?

Based on the standard 42-day update cycle, Version 3.3 is expected on April 29, 2026. This aligns with the 2nd anniversary celebration on May 22. Please check official announcements for the confirmed schedule.

Should I Pull Hiyuki or Denia First?

If you need a Glacio Main DPS, go for Hiyuki. If you want to complete an Aemeath DoT team, prioritize Denia. As the 2nd anniversary flagship, Hiyuki is the safer pick in terms of standalone value and long-term investment, especially with Lucilla coming in 3.4+.

Which Resonators Are Rerunning in 3.3?

Nothing has been confirmed yet. Based on the precedent of up to 10 reruns during the 1st anniversary, a large-scale rerun is expected. Top candidates include Carlotta, Cartethyia, Augusta, Iuno, Zani, Aemeath, and Mornye. We will update this page once the official lineup is announced.

How Much Astrite Do I Need to Guarantee Hiyuki?

Wuthering Waves' 5-star pity is at 80 pulls. If you lose the 50/50, it takes up to 160 pulls (~25,600 Astrite) to guarantee the featured Resonator. Add another 80 pulls (~12,800 Astrite) if you also want her signature weapon.

Is Aemeath's Team Unusable Without Denia?

You can still use the team, but the difference is significant. Without Denia, Fusion teams have no dedicated off-field Burst stack provider, resulting in longer rotations (20+ seconds) and energy management issues. Denia's addition is expected to noticeably reduce rotation length and increase overall team DPS.
