After the battle in Version 3.6, Xuanfang is slowly returning to normal, but questions around the Heart Moon Fox, Hsin, remain. As the Sentinel of Mengzhou, she had already foreseen trouble in Xuanfang, yet never stepped in herself. Her true connection to the city may become one of Version 3.7’s central mysteries.
The story still has plenty left unanswered, but Hsin’s Beta V2 kit is already showing just how unusual she is in combat. Her dual-form design supports two main team directions: Electro Flare and Unison, each built around a different set of teammates and combat mechanics.
This Hsin build guide is based on the current Beta V2 data and covers her best weapons, Echoes, target stats, two main team setups, Resonance Chains, skill priority, and combat rotations. The guide will continue to be updated as the beta changes.
Based on Beta V2, pulling Hsin alone may not be enough for her full Unison setup. Suoming, arriving in the second half of Version 3.7, is one of her key teammates. By top up Wuthering Waves on GamsGo , you can get more Astrite for your budget and plan for both characters.

Hsin Best Build Overview
Based on the latest gameplay showcase and Beta V2 data, Hsin’s role and overall build direction are already taking shape. The quick overview below covers the key points, while her mechanics, gear choices, and build details are explained in the sections that follow.
Hsin Beta V2 Kit
Hsin is an Electro main DPS whose damage mainly comes from Resonance Skill DMG. Her rotation revolves around cycling between Answering Form and Illumining Form, while her Enhanced Heavy Attacks are mainly used to spend resources, advance her form cycle, and connect her burst phases.
Dual Forms: Answering Form and Illumining Form
Hsin starts in Answering Form, where her attacks build Answering Heart. Once she has enough, she can use an Enhanced Heavy Attack to progress her rotation and unlock Formshift, switching into Illumining Form.
In Illumining Form, Hsin begins building Illumining Heart and enters her main burst phase. After reaching the required amount, she can use another Enhanced Heavy Attack to continue the rotation and unlock her finisher, Pillars Across Heaven. This deals Electro DMG before returning her to Answering Form.
During Formshift, Hsin also gains Edict. Even when she is off-field, damage dealt by teammates can trigger her Coordinated Attacks. This means she is not a pure on-field DPS and can continue contributing damage during team rotations.

Unison and Electro Flare: Two Team Directions
Hsin currently has two main team options: Unison and Electro Flare. Unison is better if you plan to pull Suoming and build the full team. Electro Flare is a cheaper transition option after getting Hsin.
Unison is my recommended long-term setup. With Suoming, Hsin + Suoming already forms the core, and Shorekeeper fits well in the third slot. The team has smoother swaps, Intro Skill interactions, and Unison triggers, letting Hsin use her kit more fully. Endgame buffs are also likely to favor Unison as one of the main 3.7 team setups.
Electro Flare works better as a temporary setup after pulling Hsin in the first half. Since Suoming arrives around 21 days later in the second half, you can use Electro Rover + Buling in the meantime and reach roughly 80% of Hsin’s performance at a much lower cost. Once Suoming arrives, you can switch to the full Unison team.
Hsin Beta V2 Kit Changes: S1 Nerf and Electro Flare Updates
Beta V2 did not change Hsin’s dual-form core. Most changes focused on Electro Flare and S1 values.
The biggest change is the S1 nerf. Electro Flare’s base detonation multiplier dropped from 200% to 175%. The S1-enhanced multiplier fell from 260% to 210%, while the remaining-stack multiplier dropped from 52% to 42%. S1 now gives less raw damage than in V1, so its value as an early stopping point is lower.
Beta V2 also made Electro Flare more consistent in actual combat, with more stable application and stack upkeep. In short, Hsin lost some burst damage but gained a smoother rotation. Her overall direction has not changed, and Unison is still the better long-term route.
Best Weapons for Hsin
Signature Weapon: Blooming Jadehaven
Blooming Jadehaven fully matches Hsin’s core damage mechanics, and further refinements can provide up to roughly a 40% improvement. That makes her signature weapon a very high-priority investment.
| Weapon | Weapon Effect | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
Blooming Jadehaven ![]() ![]() | Grants 12% All-Attribute DMG Bonus. After applying Electro Flare or triggering Unison Response, Hsin gains 36% Resonance Skill DMG and ignores 10% Electro RES. While on field, nearby targets take 30% more Electro Flare DMG for 30s, with a trigger interval of 0.1s. | Best-in-slot weapon for Hsin. It covers most of her core damage sources and works well in both Unison and Electro Flare teams, giving it a clear priority over other weapon options. |
Best Alternative Weapons for Hsin
If you are not planning to pull Blooming Jadehaven, these are the alternative weapons I recommend prioritizing.
| Weapon | Weapon Effect | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
![]() Lethean Elegy | Provides CRIT Rate and bonuses related to Resonance Skill DMG. | One of Hsin's best 5-star alternatives. If you already own it, you can use it directly without pulling another weapon. |
![]() Stringmaster | Offers high CRIT Rate, plus general Attribute DMG and ATK bonuses. | A flexible option that makes Hsin's CRIT build easier and provides reliable overall stats. |
![]() Cosmic Ripples | Provides strong base stats and Energy Regen, though Hsin cannot fully use part of its passive. | A stable stat option, but its passive has lower value for Hsin. Its priority is below Lethean Elegy and Stringmaster. |
![]() Fusion Accretion | Offers solid base stats and is easier and cheaper to obtain and build than 5-star options. | A practical F2P transition option if you do not have a suitable 5-star weapon. |
Best Echoes and Stats for Hsin
Hsin has a clear Echo setup, and Heart of Sworn Vigil is recommended for both team styles. This new Version 3.7 Echo set supports Electro Flare, Unison, and Unison Response, so you do not need separate sets for the two team directions.
Best Echo Set: Heart of Sworn Vigil
| Echo Setup | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Sonata Effect | |
| Main Echo | Version 3.7 New 4-Cost Calamity Echo |
| 4-3-3-1-1 Setup | 4-Cost: CRIT DMG with Blooming Jadehaven / CRIT Rate if needed 3-Cost: Electro DMG Bonus + ATK% 1-Cost: ATK% + ATK% |
| Substat Priority | CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > Resonance Skill DMG ≈ ATK% > Energy Regen |
Heart of Sworn Vigil is essentially built for Hsin. Its effects boost Electro DMG and CRIT, with the 5-piece bonus triggered through Electro Flare or Unison-related actions. Both team styles can use it consistently, so you only need to adjust the team and rotation, not the Echo set.
Recommended Hsin Stats
Below are the recommended endgame stat targets for Hsin to use as a reference when finishing her build.
| Stat | Recommended Target |
|---|---|
| CRIT Rate | 60%–70% on the stat screen; around 75%–85% after Heart of Sworn Vigil activates |
| CRIT DMG | 200%+ minimum, 220%+ preferred |
| Energy Regen | Around 120%–125% |
| ATK | Keep stacking after your CRIT and ER targets are met |
| Resonance Skill DMG | A strong damage stat for Hsin, but further stacking can bring diminishing value once your weapon and Echo bonuses are already in place. |
Hsin is still in Beta, so her final ER needs will depend on the live rotation. There is no need to force a specific number if it means giving up clearly better CRIT Echoes.
For an endgame build, the priority is simple: secure your CRIT stats and a smooth rotation first, then add ATK%. Resonance Skill DMG fits Hsin well, but her weapon and Echo set already provide plenty of it, so stacking more can lead to diminishing value.
Best Teams for Hsin
Hsin currently has two main team routes: Unison and Electro Flare. For long-term investment, I recommend Unison, especially if you plan to pull Suoming in the second half of Version 3.7. If you get Hsin in the first half, Electro Flare also works well as a cheap and fast transition team.
Best Hsin Unison Team
Hsin + Suoming + Shorekeeper is currently her most complete Unison team. Suoming is the core partner, enabling key Unison interactions and smoothing Hsin’s damage cycle. Shorekeeper fills the third slot with healing and reliable CRIT buffs without disrupting the rotation between the two core units.
| Role | Character | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | ![]() Hsin | Deals most of the team’s Resonance Skill DMG and drives the core burst cycle through her two forms. |
| Core Teammate | ![]() Suoming | Hsin’s key Unison partner, improving team synergy and making the overall rotation smoother. |
| Support | ![]() Shorekeeper | Provides healing, CRIT buffs, and stable support without disrupting the Unison rotation. |
It is also worth keeping an eye on Lily in Version 3.8. Current leaks suggest she may be a Spectro sustain built around Unison, and if her kit stays close to its current form, she could replace Shorekeeper and push the ceiling of the Hsin + Suoming team even higher.

Best Hsin Electro Flare Teams
Electro Flare is the easier setup to use right after pulling Hsin in the first half. The core is Hsin + Electro Rover, while the third slot depends on your investment: SuiSui for a higher ceiling, Buling for a cheaper and more reliable setup.
| Team | Characters | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| Premium Electro Flare | ![]() Hsin ![]() Electro Rover ![]() SuiSui | Best for players who plan to keep investing in Electro Flare. SuiSui raises the team’s ceiling and is currently the stronger premium third slot. |
| F2P Electro Flare | ![]() Hsin ![]() Electro Rover ![]() Buling | A cheap and fast transition team. Buling is easy to build and can often reach high Resonance Chains while pulling Hsin, making this setup require very little extra investment. |
If you plan to play Electro Flare long term, prioritize SuiSui in the third slot for a higher team ceiling.
If Electro Flare is only a temporary setup before Suoming arrives and you switch to a Unison team, Buling is more than enough. Since she shares Hsin’s banner, you can often reach high Resonance Chains, or even max her out, with little extra investment.
Hsin Resonance Chains: Is S1, S2 or S3 Worth Pulling?
Hsin already has her full dual-form kit and both Unison and Electro Flare playstyles at S0. If you want to play her normally and save pulls for future teammates, S0 is enough. If you plan to invest further, the main stopping points worth considering in Beta V2 are S2, S3, and S6.
Here is Hsin’s current Beta V2 Resonance Chain breakdown:
| Resonance Chain | Key Effect | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|
![]() S1 | Gains an extra Edict after Formshift and improves survivability. In Unison teams, it buffs Intro Skill damage. In Electro Flare teams, it enhances detonation, but Beta V2 lowered the key multipliers from 260% to 210%, with the remaining stack multiplier reduced from 52% to 42%. | Not recommended as a stopping point. Its damage value dropped clearly after the V2 adjustment, and it is now more about smoother uptime and comfort. |
![]() S2 | Increases the damage multiplier of Hsin’s core enhanced Heavy Attacks by 60% in both forms, while also improving field entry resources and overall rotation flow. | Best stopping point for low spenders. Both personal damage and rotation efficiency improve in a very direct way. |
![]() S3 | Boosts Wan Que Chui Tian by 70%. In Unison teams, Hsin gains extra CRIT DMG. In Electro Flare teams, it adds one more high-value Electro Flare detonation. | Worth considering for higher investment. Both team paths gain noticeable burst improvement. |
![]() S4 | After triggering Electro Flare, Electro Rage, or Unison Response, the whole team gains 20% All-Attribute DMG Bonus for 30s. | Team utility is decent, but it is usually not worth stopping at S4 alone. |
![]() S5 | Reduces damage taken in Illumining Form and grants a one-time fatal damage protection effect with a full HP restore. | Mainly improves survivability and comfort. Limited value for pure damage, so it is mostly a bridge to S6. |
![]() S6 | Increases Hsin’s Resonance Skill DMG by 40% and lets her ignore 20% DEF. Unison can reach a higher buff stack limit, while Electro Flare damage can now crit at a fixed 80% CRIT Rate / 230% CRIT DMG. | Massive endgame upgrade. Electro Flare especially gains a new burst ceiling, making S6 the true max-investment target. |
Best Resonance Chain to Stop At
My recommended investment order is:
Hsin S0 → Suoming S0 → Hsin Signature Weapon → Hsin S2 → Hsin S3 → Hsin S6
For most players, S0 Hsin is already a complete experience. If you do not have Suoming yet, completing the core Unison team usually provides more value than chasing additional Resonance Chains.
If you want to invest further, S2 is currently the best stopping point. It directly improves Hsin’s core damage while also making her rotation smoother. Players who already reach S2 can consider pushing for S3, which provides a noticeable burst increase for both team directions.
S4 and S5 are mainly transitional upgrades. If your goal is to fully maximize Hsin’s potential, saving resources and going straight for S6 is the better choice.
Hsin Rotation and How to Play
As a dual-form main DPS, Hsin’s skills are ultimately recommended to be fully leveled. If you plan to build Hsin as a high-investment DPS, there is little need to focus on a strict skill priority.
In actual combat, the more important part is understanding her dual-form switching and the two short swap windows in Unison teams.
Using Hsin + Suoming + Shorekeeper as an example, this team does not follow the usual 1-2-3 rotation. Instead, it is closer to a 1-2-3-2-3 rotation:
| Step | What to Do |
|---|---|
| Shorekeeper → Suoming | Complete healing, team buffs, and Concerto preparation, then switch to Suoming to start the first Unison setup. |
| Suoming → Hsin | Trigger Unison on Suoming, then swap to Hsin so she receives the Outro buff and enhanced entry. |
| Hsin → Suoming | After Hsin completes Formshift and gains Unison, swap back to Suoming to trigger Unison Response and continue stacking team buffs. |
| Suoming → Hsin | After Suoming completes the second setup, pass the buffs back to Hsin and let her re-enter with the full team bonuses. |
| Hsin Finish | Hsin returns for her main damage window, using the prepared buffs to finish the rotation with Pillars Across Heaven. |
Hsin and Suoming can both gain and trigger Unison effects. To maximize this team’s damage output, you need to swap between them twice, linking their enhanced Intros, Unison Boons, and main damage windows together.

Conclusion: Is Hsin Worth Pulling?
Hsin is definitely worth pulling. Her high-profile role as a Sentinel in the story and the strength shown in Beta both suggest that she will remain relevant beyond Version 3.7. With the Unison system still receiving future support, Hsin’s team potential has room to grow.
However, if you want to build a complete Unison team, do not rush into Hsin’s high Resonance Chains in the first half. Suoming is currently the key teammate for this system, while Lily may become a future upgrade over Shorekeeper. Completing the core team is usually more valuable than pushing a single DPS to higher chains.
If you want to invest in Hsin’s Resonance Chains while saving for Suoming and future Unison teammates, you can top up Wuthering Waves and prepare more Astrites with a lower budget. This gives you more flexibility to build Hsin and her complete team while saving up to 30%.
FAQ
Does Hsin Need Suoming?
Suoming is Hsin’s key partner for a full Unison team. If you want a cheaper setup, you can skip Suoming and run Hsin in an Electro Flare team instead.
Is Hsin a Main DPS or a Sub-DPS?
Hsin is primarily an Electro main DPS focused on Resonance Skill DMG. She also deals Coordinated Attack damage while off-field, but this supports her rotation rather than making her a traditional sub-DPS.
Is Hsin S0 Enough, or Should I Pull Resonance Chains?
S0 is already a complete starting point. For most players, securing Suoming first is more valuable than rushing Hsin's Chains. If you want to invest further, S2 is currently the strongest early stopping point.
Should I Pull Blooming Jadehaven or Hsin S1?
Blooming Jadehaven is the better next investment. Beta V2 reduced Hsin’s S1 multipliers and overall value, while her signature weapon still provides a stronger and more consistent damage upgrade.
Should I Play Hsin in Unison or Electro Flare?
Unison is the stronger long-term direction if you plan to pull Suoming. Electro Flare is cheaper to build and works well as a temporary option while waiting for Suoming or if you prefer not to invest in the full Unison team.
