"The skies belong to Haavk!" If you've spent enough time in Space City, you've probably heard that line more times than you'd like. For most Delta Force players, Desmoulins is the ruthless Security Director whose M700 makes every encounter with her a dangerous one.
But her confrontation with Hudson during the Morphosis season showed us another side of her. Behind that cold exterior, Desmoulins turned out to be far more human and compassionate than we first thought.
Now, Season 11 introduces Polaris Patrol, giving us the chance to step into the Security Director's shoes, just as we once played as Saeed in Fiery Owl Hunt. In this guide, I'll cover how to unlock Desmoulins quickly, master her abilities and Requin, and earn the rewards worth chasing.

Polaris Patrol Quick Start

How Does Polaris Patrol Work?
Like Fiery Owl Hunt, Polaris Patrol lets players take control of a boss and fight against GTI Operators. However, the two modes have different combat styles. While Fiery Owl Hunt focuses on aggressive hunting, Polaris Patrol favors a more defensive, attrition-based approach, with Desmoulins and her guards wearing down enemy squads.
Playing as Desmoulins requires a Security Director's Work Badge, similar to the entry token used in Fiery Owl Hunt. Heavy Guards and Comms Guards can join without spending a badge, but they must team up with a Desmoulins player. The squad also has access to an exclusive extraction point in Space City's garden via the executive elevator.
Another major change is how Performance Points are earned.
As part of Desmoulins' squad, you can earn points by defeating GTI Operators. Unlike Fiery Owl Hunt, regular GTI Operators can also earn Performance Points by defeating members of Desmoulins' squad. Both sides can earn Performance Points to rank up and unlock rewards.
How to Unlock Desmoulins: All 5 Mission Branches
To unlock Desmoulins, reach Operations Level 33 and complete any three chapters of the Desmoulins File. The file contains five chapters with 21 missions in total, but you don't need to finish all of them. Each chapter follows its own mission chain, so you must complete every mission in your chosen three chapters.
Here's a breakdown of all five chapters and their missions, followed by our recommended route for unlocking Desmoulins as quickly as possible.
Fastest Ways to Unlock Desmoulins: Chads vs. Rats
There are two ways to unlock Desmoulins quickly, depending on how you play. Chads can take the shortest route through tougher lobbies, while Rats can stick to Easy Operations and avoid Normal matches entirely.
For Chads: Chapters 1 + 4 + 5
This route requires just 11 missions, the fewest possible. Chapters 1 and 4 take you through AZ3, while Chapter 5 sends you into more dangerous Brakkesh or Space City Operations. If you're comfortable fighting real players in Normal or Hard lobbies, this is the most direct route.
For Rats: Chapters 1 + 2 + 4 or 1 + 3 + 4
Don't want to deal with sweaty Normal lobbies? Both routes have 13 missions and can be completed on Easy difficulty. Stick to AZ3 and Zero Dam, avoid unnecessary fights, and prepare the required collectibles before starting.
- 1 + 2 + 4: Stock up on 3 Purple or higher-rarity medical collectibles. You'll also need to extract 3 qualifying Crafts or Household Items collectibles during Operations.
- 1 + 3 + 4: Stock up on 3 Purple or higher-rarity household collectibles. You'll also need to extract once through the Southern Riverbank Paid Exit or Industrial Elevator.
Easy doesn't guarantee bot-only lobbies, but it lets you avoid the tougher Normal matchmaking while completing your unlock missions.
How to Play as Desmoulins: Abilities and Requin Guide
Desmoulins is built for defensive, drawn-out fights rather than Saeed's aggressive hunting style. Unlike Saeed, she doesn't have a passive that lets friendly NPCs report enemy positions. Haavk soldiers may greet their Security Director, but they won't call out nearby GTI Operators. Instead, she relies on active scanning and enemy-seeking equipment to find targets, while her vehicle and Weakness Analysis help wear them down.

Tactical Gear: Neural-Controlled Vehicle
Desmoulins can remotely control the Requin, a combat vehicle equipped with a machine gun, grenade launcher, Threat Imaging System, and Seeker Bomb Vehicle. This lets her pressure enemy squads without putting herself directly in the line of fire.
More importantly, early testing suggests that losing the vehicle only costs Desmoulins 60 HP. She can heal that damage, making the vehicle a relatively low-risk way to fight. Use it to hold entrances, pressure exposed enemies, and force GTI squads to waste resources before committing to a direct fight.
Requin becomes even more useful with Adjutant support. The Heavy Guard can attach Remote Bombs for extra explosive pressure or Smoke Grenades to provide moving cover.
Meanwhile, the Comms Guard can mount a Flare on Requin to scan for enemies as it moves, or attach an Airburst Grenade for additional damage. Depending on the situation, you can turn Requin into a mobile scouting platform or use it to pressure GTI squads before they can push your position.
Gadget: Threat Imaging System
Threat Imaging System scans and marks enemies within view, sharing their positions with teammates. While active, it also improves weapon handling and ADS movement speed, with bonuses depending on the equipped weapon.
When controlling Requin, the system can lock onto enemy targets and enable tracking for certain vehicle weapons. Try activating it when enemies are pushing or crossing open ground, so your squad can capitalize on the information immediately.
Gadget: Seeker Bomb Vehicle: Punish Enemy Pushes
Seeker Bomb Vehicle sends out a small explosive vehicle that moves forward, searches for enemies, and automatically chases a detected target before exploding after a short delay.
It's particularly useful for checking contested approaches and disrupting enemy pushes. Send it toward enemies trying to close the distance, or use it to force opponents out of cover while your squad holds its position.
Passive: Weakness Analysis
Desmoulins' passive applies a lasting Weakness effect to enemies she hits. Affected targets repair armor and use certain medical items more slowly, giving them less time to recover between engagements. Downed enemies also bleed out faster and have reduced movement.
This is what makes her so effective in prolonged fights. You don't have to eliminate an entire squad in one push. Keep landing hits, delay their recovery, and use your vehicle and tactical equipment to maintain pressure until they run out of options.
Polaris Patrol Adjutant Roles and Team Strategies

Desmoulins has two Adjutants in Polaris Patrol: Heavy Guard Athos Leal and Comms Guard Aramis Orgueil. Both can attach their tactical equipment to her Neural-Controlled Vehicle, adding firepower, cover, or reconnaissance capabilities.
Heavy Guard: Athos Leal
Athos focuses on explosives and smoke support. His two tactical abilities are:
- Remote Bomb: Throws a bomb that can be manually detonated after attaching to a surface or automatically explodes after a longer delay. It can also attach to the Neural-Controlled Vehicle, greatly extending its automatic detonation timer.
- Smoke Grenade: Fires a smoke grenade that releases smoke on impact. When attached to the Neural-Controlled Vehicle, it continuously generates smoke for a set duration.
Comms Guard: Aramis Orgueil
Aramis specializes in reconnaissance and explosive damage. His two tactical abilities are:
- Flare: Fires a flare that hovers after traveling a set distance and periodically scans enemy Operators. It can also attach to the Neural-Controlled Vehicle, scanning enemies from the vehicle as it moves.
- Airburst Grenade: Fires a grenade that explodes after a fixed delay. It can attach to the Neural-Controlled Vehicle without changing its detonation timer.
Shared Operator Trait: Haavk Elite. Both Adjutants have the ability to drag downed teammates to safety. When an Adjutant is near Desmoulins or her Neural-Controlled Vehicle, direct damage dealt by either one to an enemy Operator briefly increases the Adjutant's movement speed.
Best Team Strategies for Desmoulins and Her Adjutants
Desmoulins should be the center of the squad's strategy. Rather than rushing GTI teams head-on, keep the Adjutants close to Requin and use its firepower to wear enemies down. Athos adds explosive pressure and moving smoke cover, while Aramis provides enemy scans and additional damage through equipment attached to the vehicle.
The goal is to find openings through sustained pressure. Use Requin and the Adjutants' combined abilities to disrupt enemy positions, force GTI Operators to spend their resources, and take advantage of Desmoulins' Weakness Analysis. Once the enemy squad is weakened or separated, move in together to finish the fight.
How to Extract in Polaris Patrol: Special Exits and Requirements
Polaris Patrol adds two separate facilities for Desmoulins in Space City. The executive elevator in Central Garden provides a one-way shortcut to the CEO Office, while her exclusive extraction point is located near the Launch Area. GTI Operators can also gain access to these restricted facilities after defeating Desmoulins.

The terminal shown above controls the executive elevator in Central Garden. It is not the special extraction terminal.
Where Is Desmoulins' Special Extraction Point?
Desmoulins' exclusive extraction point is inside a small black building near the broken bridge in Space City's Launch Area. According to pre-release gameplay, the extraction point becomes available 15 minutes after the match begins.
Don't confuse it with the executive elevator in Central Garden. That elevator only provides a shortcut to the upper CEO Office area, not an extraction route.
How to Activate Desmoulins' Special Extraction
To activate the special extraction, Desmoulins' squad must collect 5 GTI ID Tags from enemy Operators during the current match and submit them at the extraction terminal in the Launch Area.
According to pre-release gameplay, the squad can extract after a 30-second countdown once the required ID Tags have been submitted and the extraction point is available. These timing requirements still need to be verified when Polaris Patrol launches.

How Can GTI Operators Use the Special Extraction?
GTI Operators can also use Desmoulins' exclusive extraction point, but they must first defeat her and obtain the special Access Card from her mezzanine area. The card grants access to her restricted facilities, including the executive elevator.
GTI players must also submit 5 ID Tags at the special extraction terminal in the Launch Area. Pre-release reports indicate that GTI Operators face a longer, 5-minute extraction countdown, compared with Desmoulins' 30 seconds.
Keep in mind that the Access Card and ID Tags serve different purposes. The card grants special access, while the ID Tags are required to activate extraction. Make sure you have both before heading to the Launch Area.
All Polaris Patrol Rewards and Achievement Badges
Polaris Patrol offers rewards through Performance Rank progression, exclusive challenge missions, and special collectibles. You can earn Performance Points by completing Director's or Adjutant's To-Do missions and fighting enemy Operators. Even G.T.I. players can earn points by defeating members of Desmoulins' squad.
Performance Rank Rewards and M700 Serenity

As your Performance Rank increases, you'll unlock Desmoulins Reward Crates, the exclusive M700 - Serenity weapon skin, and other limited cosmetics, including a Desmoulins avatar, spray paint, calling card, and gesture.
Each Desmoulins Reward Crate also has a chance to contain one of two limited red-quality collectibles: Petite Madame or Requin Model.
Limited Red Collectibles: Petite Madame and Requin Model

There are two ways to obtain these collectibles. You can get lucky with a Desmoulins Reward Crate, or defeat a player-controlled Desmoulins as a G.T.I. Operator and search her Mezzanine for a chance to find one.
Once you collect both Petite Madame and Requin Model, you can assemble them into the Petite Madame - Requin Model. The combined collectible can be placed in your EDC Tool Kit and brought into Operations matches.
Director's To-Do, Adjutant's To-Do and Achievement Badges

Completing Director's and Adjutant's To-Do missions earns Performance Points, combat supplies, and other challenge rewards. Finish all the required missions to claim the exclusive Medal of Honor.
There's also a tougher challenge called Super Director. To complete it, a member of Desmoulins' squad must personally eliminate at least 12 enemy Operators in a single Polaris Patrol match. This achievement is tied to the special Desmoulins badge. Even Haavk has its own genius.
How to Unlock the M700 Full-Auto Attachment

The M700 HVK Whirlwind Enhanced Gas Block becomes craftable once Polaris Patrol reaches the Hunter stage, with a limit of 10 per week. This exclusive attachment gives the M700 a full-auto firing mode, though it reduces weapon control and handling and comes with damage penalties to certain body parts.
Paired with the new season-limited 7.62×51mm LS ammo, the M700 HVK Whirlwind Enhanced Gas Block could change how players fight at medium and long ranges. The faster bullets and full-auto fire offer serious potential, though the increased recoil will make sustained accuracy harder to maintain.
Conclusion
This guide covers how to unlock Desmoulins, use her abilities and Requin vehicle, coordinate with Adjutants, access special extraction points, and earn Polaris Patrol rewards.
With her defensive playstyle and ability to wear down enemy squads, Desmoulins looks set to dominate Operations much like Saeed did. She may receive some balance adjustments down the road, but one thing seems certain: Space City won't be quiet after October 16.
If you need more Delta Force Tekniq Alloys for better gear and Desmoulins' Work Badges, you can buy Delta Force Tekniq Alloys on GamsGo to stock up before heading into Polaris Patrol.
