Honkai: Star Rail Current Banner Overview

Version 4.1, "Out of Control for the Approaching Dawn," launched on March 25, 2026, with a shorter-than-usual cycle of just 4 weeks (running through April 21). The only new character this version is Ashveil (Lightning · The Hunt), whose limited banner runs for the full 4 weeks — a relatively forgiving window for players who've been saving up Stellar Jade.

Rerun banners are split across two phases: Phase 1 (3/25–4/8) features Hyacine (Wind · Remembrance), and Phase 2 (4/8–4/21) features Boothill (Physical · The Hunt). Both are strong support characters, giving players who missed their original releases a chance to catch up.

Honkai: Star Rail Current Banners

Version 4.1 Phase 1 features two banners: Ashveil's "A Hunt Through Night" and the rerun banner "A Rainbow onto Twilight" for Hyacine.

A Hunt Through Night (Ashveil Banner)

The new character banner for Version 4.1 Phase 1 is Ashveil's "A Hunt Through Night," available from March 24, 2025 to April 21, 2026 (UTC-5). The featured 4-star characters are Moze, Misha, and Asta.

Details for the featured 5-star Ashveil and the featured 4-star characters are as follows:

A Rainbow onto Twilight (Hyacine Banner)

The rerun banner "A Rainbow onto Twilight" for Hyacine is available from March 24, 2026 to April 8, 2026 (UTC-5), and shares the same featured 4-star characters as the "A Hunt Through Night" banner.

Details for the featured character Hyacine are as follows:

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1 Light Cone Banners

Version 4.1 features two light cone banners: "Brilliant Fixation" and the rerun "Bygone Reminiscence."

"Brilliant Fixation" will feature Ashveil's signature light cone, "The Finale of a Lie," available from March 24, 2026 to April 21, 2026.

"Bygone Reminiscence" will feature Hyacine's "Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky," available from March 24, 2026 to April 8, 2026 (UTC-5).

Both banners will include the same three featured 4-star light cones: "Shadowed by Night," "Make the World Clamor," and "Dream's Montage." Full details on all Version 4.1 light cones are as follows:

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1 Featured Character Builds

Ashveil Build Overview

Honkai Star Rail Version 4.1 Featured Characters Ashveil and Hyacine

① Character Introduction

Ashveil is the lead detective of the Ashen Detective Agency, hailing from the planet Planarcadia. He solves the universe's most complex cases on instinct alone — yet all he really wants is to quit and retire. A 5★ Lightning · The Hunt character, he is the only new character in Version 4.1, available as a limited banner for the full 4-week cycle.

② Core Mechanics

His gameplay revolves around using his Skill to apply a "Bait" debuff to enemies, which simultaneously reduces their DEF by 40%. Each time a teammate attacks a marked target, Ashveil automatically launches a follow-up attack and builds stacks of "Gluttony."

Once fully stacked, he unleashes his Ultimate for a massive burst of damage — with a total multiplier that can exceed 2,300% in a single rotation.

③ Strength Analysis

Strengths: While on the field, Ashveil provides the entire team with a 40% CRIT DMG boost; teammates' follow-up attacks gain an additional 80% CRIT DMG bonus. He also applies a 24% Vulnerability debuff to all enemies (increased to 36% at low HP), making him both a primary DPS and a strong team-wide buffer.

Limitations: His follow-up mechanic is single-target focused, so he underperforms in multi-enemy content (Pure Fiction) compared to AOE carry options. His rotation also relies on teammates attacking frequently, which makes team composition less forgiving.

④ Recommended Team Compositions

⑤ Equipment Recommendations

Light Cones:

  • Best-in-slot: Signature light cone The Finale of a Lie — grants 18% CRIT Rate, permanently activates the Umbra Devourer state, and stacks up to 80% ATK along with team-wide DEF penetration, significantly lowering the relic investment threshold.
  • Free alternative: Cruising in the Stellar Sea (redeemable from the Herta Store) — provides CRIT Rate and a post-kill ATK bonus, and is reliable enough to clear all high-difficulty content.

Relics:

  • Primary relic set: Ashblazing Grand Duke — boosts follow-up attack DMG and stacks ATK during follow-up attacks.
  • Planar ornaments: Firmament Frontline: Glamoth — simultaneously improves CRIT Rate, Ultimate DMG, and follow-up attack DMG.

⑥ Pull Recommendation

If you already have a follow-up team built around characters like Feixiao, Robin, or Sunday, Ashveil is practically a must-pull this version — he directly unlocks your existing team's full potential, making him an extremely efficient use of Stellar Jade.

He's also highly recommended for players who focus on single-target Memory of Chaos content. E0 is enough to get his full value; no Eidolons required.

That said, if your Stellar Jade reserves are limited, or your main focus is multi-target Pure Fiction content, you may want to skip. Players who already own strong AOE carries like Acheron may be better off saving resources for future characters that better fit their roster.

Hyacine Build Overview

Hyacine banner and build overview

① Character Introduction

Hyacine's full name is Hyacinthia. She hails from the Sky City Twilight Courtyard in Amphoreus, known as the "Sky Guardian" and "Eye of Twilight," and bears the mission of restoring the boundary between dusk and dawn. A 5★ Wind · Remembrance character, she is the game's first Remembrance-path healer and is returning as a rerun in Version 4.1 Phase 1.

② Core Mechanics

Hyacine's gameplay centers around her Memosprite "Little Ica": whenever a teammate takes damage or loses HP, Little Ica automatically triggers healing. Her Ultimate grants the entire team a Max HP boost — and the higher the team's HP, the stronger both her subsequent healing and damage output become, creating a self-reinforcing cycle of "heal more, hit harder."

Her key talent, "Gale Halt," requires a SPD stat of 200 or above, with every point beyond that threshold further increasing her healing output — making SPD her most critical investment priority.

③ Strength Analysis

Strengths: Her exceptionally high SPD allows her to take at least two actions per combat cycle, maintaining near-constant healing coverage and Max HP buffs. She performs at the top tier in both Memory of Chaos and Pure Fiction.

Limitations: Outside of HP-scaling team compositions, Hyacine functions purely as a healer with virtually no offensive support value. She also has relatively high Skill Point consumption, placing some demand on team-wide SP management.

④ Recommended Team Compositions

⑤ Equipment Recommendations

Light Cones:

  • Best-in-slot: Signature light cone Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky — provides a significant SPD boost and causes enemies to take increased damage, synergizing perfectly with Hyacine's entire kit.
  • Alternative: 4★ light cone A Promise — offers a SPD bonus and applies a Vulnerability debuff to all enemies after the Memosprite uses its Skill, offering excellent value for its rarity.

Relics:

  • Primary relic set: 4-piece Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations — grants a 12% SPD boost and increases DPS characters' CRIT DMG by 15%, far outperforming any 2+2 combination.
  • Planar ornaments: Penacony, Land of the Dreams — significantly boosts healing output once the SPD threshold is met; alternatively, Fleet of the Ageless for improved Energy Regeneration.

Core stat priority: SPD (target 200+) > HP (target 4,500+) > CRIT DMG

⑥ Pull Recommendation

If you have Castorice, Hyacine is practically a must-pull — she is Castorice's best-in-slot healer, with her HP-drain mechanic continuously fueling Castorice's Ultimate energy, making the pairing exceptionally powerful.

For players without Castorice, if your current teams lack a reliable healer, Hyacine is still well worth the investment as a versatile all-purpose support. Players who already own established healers like Lingsha or Huohuo and have limited resources may want to consider skipping.

Honkai: Star Rail Upcoming Warp Banners

The upcoming character warp in Honkai: Star Rail is Boothill's "Dusty Trail's Lone Star." The 4-star characters featured in this banner are Moze, Misha, and Asta, and the event will run from April 8, 2026 to April 21, 2026.

At the same time, Ashveil's banner from Version 4.1 Phase 1 will remain available.

On the Light Cone side, in the second phase of Version 4.1, "Brilliant Fixation" will continue to feature Ashveil's signature Light Cone "The Finale of a Lie." Meanwhile, "Bygone Reminiscence" (rerun Light Cone banner) will include Boothill's "Sailing Toward a Second Life."

Dusty Trail's Lone Star(Boothill Banner)

Boothill Dusty Trail's Lone Star banner

The featured character in the "Dusty Trail's Lone Star" banner is Boothill. A cyber cowboy roaming the galaxy, affiliated with the "Galaxy Rangers," who punishes outlaws by any means necessary. A 5★ Physical · Hunt character, a single-target burst main DPS.

His core gameplay revolves around using his skill to lock himself and a target into a "Duel" state. During this time, his Basic Attack is enhanced into a six-hit combo, and both sides receive increased damage taken. After the duel ends, he gains stacks of "Pocket Trickshot," with higher stacks leading to stronger subsequent Break Damage.

His damage primarily comes from Break Damage. His Path traits allow his Break Damage to ignore a portion of the target's DEF, and when paired with the Harmony Trailblazer's Super Break mechanic, his burst potential becomes extremely high.

The optimal team is Boothill + Harmony Trailblazer + Ruan Mei + Gallagher. His signature Light Cone, Sailing Towards A Second Life, is the best choice. If unavailable, the 4★ Light Cone Shadowed by Night is a strong and cost-effective alternative.

For Relics, the best choice is the 4-piece "Iron Cavalry" set. Prioritize Break Effect (200%+) and Speed (145+) as key stats.

Honkai: Star Rail Next Version Warp Banners

Version 4.2 is expected to go live on April 22, 2026, and will last for 6 weeks until June 2. This version is split into two phases, each led by two characters with completely different playstyles—the first focuses on support and control, while the second specializes in burst damage. It's recommended to plan your resources in advance and decide which target to prioritize.

Silver Wolf Lv.999

Silver Wolf SP Lv.999 banner Version 4.2

Silver Wolf Lv.999 is a special SP version of the original Silver Wolf, a 5★ Imaginary · Elation main DPS, and is expected to debut as the game's 3rd anniversary character.

In terms of appearance, her signature curly hair has been changed to a half-tied ponytail, and she now has a mechanical prosthetic right arm, giving her a more mature overall vibe that contrasts sharply with the original version.

Her gameplay is completely different from the original—she is no longer a support unit, but instead a AoE burst main DPS centered around stacking "Hidden Ranking."

Her enhanced Basic Attack can trigger a 100-hit bouncing chain, and after defeating a target, any remaining hits automatically transfer to a new enemy, allowing for continuous damage output during her burst window.

Evanescia

Evanescia banner Version 4.2

Evanescia will debut on May 12, 2026. She is a mysterious girl from Planarcadia who oversees the "Phantom Moon Game" in the story and assists the Trailblazer in joining it.

A 5★ Physical · Elation character, she takes the form of a pink-eared fox girl and wields a ruler-marked paper cutter as her weapon. Her lively and flamboyant style closely matches the theme of the Elation Path.

Her core mechanics revolve around the "Certified Banger" resource: gaining energy simultaneously accumulates Certified Banger stacks, and once built up, her Skill and Ultimate trigger additional Elation damage. Paired with her summon "Fox Teacher," which applies DEF reduction to enemies, she creates sustained offensive pressure.

She is not a one-shot burst DPS, but instead builds damage over time through AoE attacks and Elation follow-ups, becoming stronger the longer the battle lasts.

Honkai: Star Rail Standard Warp (Stellar Warp)

Stellar Warp is the only permanently available standard banner in the game, with no time limit. It uses Star Rail Passes and is completely separate from the Special Star Rail Passes used in limited banners.

  • There are currently 7 standard 5★ characters: Yanqing (Ice · Hunt), Himeko (Lightning · Destruction), Welt (Ice · Destruction), Clara (Physical · Destruction), Bailu (Wind · Harmony), Gepard (Ice · Preservation), and Bronya (Wind · Harmony).
  • The standard 5★ Light Cones cover all Paths, such as Time Waits for No One (Abundance), Night on the Milky Way (Nihility), In the Name of the World (Destruction), Something Irreplaceable (Hunt), But the Battle Isn't Over (Harmony), Moment of Victory (Preservation), and Before Dawn (Erudition).

After 300 pulls, players can choose one of these 7 five-star characters, making it an important way for new players to complete their roster.

In addition, all 4★ characters in the game can be obtained from Stellar Warp, but newly released 4★ characters will only be added to the standard pool in the version following their debut.

Honkai: Star Rail Warp System Explained

Pity System

In limited character banners, a 5★ is guaranteed within 90 pulls, while the Light Cone banner guarantees one within 80 pulls.

The pity system has two layers: starting from the 75th pull, the 5★ drop rate gradually increases—this range is known as "soft pity." By the 90th pull, the rate reaches 100%, known as "hard pity." In practice, most players obtain a 5★ between 75–85 pulls.

50/50 System

In limited character banners, each 5★ pull has a 50% chance to be the featured limited character and a 50% chance to be a standard character.

If you lose the 50/50, the next 5★ is guaranteed to be the featured limited character. This guarantee carries over permanently and does not reset between versions.

For Light Cone banners, the off-banner rate is lower—the chance of obtaining the featured Light Cone is 75%, making it more favorable than character banners.

Pity Carryover Between Banners

Each banner type has its own independent pity counter—character banners, Light Cone banners, and the standard banner do not share pity.

However, pity carries over within the same banner type: if you made 50 pulls on the previous character banner without getting a 5★, the next character banner will continue counting from pull 50.

After a version update or a change in featured characters, both pity and the 50/50 guarantee status are retained.

4★ Pity

Every 10 pulls guarantees at least one 4★ or higher. There is a 50% chance it will be a featured 4★ character; if not, the next 4★ is guaranteed to be featured.
The 4★ pity counter is also tracked separately for each banner type.

Banner Mechanics Comparison

Pull Planning Recommendations

For a conservative approach, it's recommended to save at least 12,800–14,400 Stellar Jades (80–90 pulls) before pulling, ensuring over a 90% chance of obtaining a 5★ within the soft pity range.

If you are on a 50/50, the worst-case scenario requires 180 pulls (28,800 Stellar Jades) to guarantee the featured character.

With limited resources, it's best to focus on a single target character and avoid splitting pulls across multiple limited banners at the same time.

FAQ

Will pity and the 50/50 guarantee expire?

Yes — pity count and 50/50 guarantee never expire. Pull 60 times this patch? Next banner starts at 60. Lost your 50/50? The guarantee carries over too. Note: pity is tracked separately for each banner type.

What's the difference between Star Rail Passes and Special Star Rail Passes?

Star Rail Passes can only be used on the permanent Stellar Warp, while Special Star Rail Passes are reserved for limited character and Light Cone banners. They can't be exchanged for each other. Standard passes are mostly earned through daily gameplay, while limited passes mainly come from purchases and events.

Which character should I choose from the 300-pull standard banner selector?

Prioritize sustain or support roles — Bronya (universal buffer) and Bailu (healer) are top picks for most players. If you lack a reliable tank, Gepard is a solid choice. Avoid DPS characters, as stronger limited options will always replace them.
