Leaked Playable Appearance

Later leaked footage shows a distinctly different design. Nihilux no longer wears glasses, has a new crown-like headpiece, and uses a more striking black, white, and red color scheme.

The new design adds playing cards, bows, and stage-performance motifs. Unfolding pages and multiple miniature figures also appear in the image, making it more elaborate than the NPC version.

These changes suggest that Nihilux may now have a distinct playable design. However, the image is still leaked material, and her model, animations, and banner schedule have not been officially announced.

Nihilux Element, Path and Role

The latest development data suggests that Nihilux may be a limited 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Elation. This information has not entered formal 4.7 testing and may still change before release.

Yaoguang supplies Punchlines and teamwide Elation buffs, while Pearl fills the sustain slot. All four characters follow the Path of Elation and can fully use the relevant mechanics.

Silver Wolf LV.999 Team: Silver Wolf LV.999, Nihilux, Yaoguang and Pearl

This team uses Silver Wolf LV.999 as its primary damage dealer. Nihilux raises her Elation DMG through the Skill and uses her attacks to record more Aha Moment damage.

Nihilux also provides Quantum damage and True DMG resolution, helping Silver Wolf LV.999 against multiple targets. Yaoguang and Pearl continue to provide buffs and sustain.

Alternative Team: Silver Wolf LV.999, Nihilux, Elation Trailblazer and Pearl

Without Yaoguang, use the Elation Trailblazer to supply Punchlines and Elation Skill triggers. Nihilux should still give her Skill effect to Silver Wolf LV.999 to keep the main damage focused.

This lineup retains four Elation characters, but its support ceiling may be lower than the Yaoguang version. Its advantage is requiring one fewer limited support.

Team Without Pearl: Sparxie, Nihilux, Yaoguang and Aventurine

The leaked kit shows that Kuchiba’s Skill may raise the entire team’s CRIT Rate and provide Punchlines, while her Ultimate applies an upgradable “Flower” mark to enemies.

When allies attack enemies marked with “Flower,” they may restore HP and accumulate damage. Once the mark reaches a specified level, it detonates, dealing damage to enemies and healing the entire team.

However, the kit does not include a complete Elation Skill, and many values remain placeholders. The leak source also stresses that the file may only preserve development records and that the character could have been shelved.

There is currently no information confirming Kuchiba’s release version. By comparison, the claim that 4.7 will add only Nihilux as a new 5-star is more consistent, so Kuchiba should not be treated as a confirmed second character.

Yaoguang already reran in Version 4.3, and Sparxie returned in Version 4.4, making another rerun in 4.7 relatively unlikely for both.

Until the official Special Program is released, players should not allocate Stellar Jade around rerun speculation. The characters, banner phases, and featured 4-star lineup may still change.

Why 4.7 Matters for Elation Teams

Version 4.7 matters for more than its new character. If Nihilux releases with the current leaked design, the Elation archetype will gain a new support option and become less dependent on a fixed lineup.

Stellar Jade Planning

Before 4.7 launches, check your Character Event Warp pity, guarantee status, Light Cone Event Warp pity, and available Star Rail Special Passes. Character and Light Cone banners count separately, but pity carries over within each banner type.

Each pull costs 160 Stellar Jade. Starting from zero pity without a guarantee, securing Nihilux can take up to 180 pulls, or 28,800 Stellar Jade. With a guarantee already secured, the cap is 14,400 Stellar Jade.

If you also plan to get her signature Light Cone, prepare up to another 160 pulls, or 25,600 Stellar Jade, in the worst case. The maximum budget for Nihilux at E0S1 is 340 pulls, or 54,400 Stellar Jade.

With a limited budget, prioritize E0 first. You can decide on the signature Light Cone and Eidolons after the official values are available. If you also want a 4.7 rerun character, reserve up to another 180 pulls for the Character Event Warp.
