Sparxie is an explosive DPS who grows stronger the longer she fights. During battle, she steadily accumulates [Laughter Points], boosting her own and the entire party's damage — and the higher the stacks, the higher her damage ceiling climbs. Below are Sparxie's base stats at Level 80 with max Ascension.

Overall, Sparxie has a relatively accessible learning curve, making her a great fit for Trailblazers who enjoy a "the longer you fight, the harder you hit" tempo. Now that you have her basic role down, let's get to the real question — is she worth pulling?

Should You Pull Sparxie?

Sparxie is one of the standout DPS units of the current version, sitting firmly at Tier 1 overall. That said, her performance varies considerably depending on team composition — whether you have Aglaea and Sparkle makes a significant difference.

Use the table below to compare with your own account situation:

In short, Sparxie is exceptionally strong with the right partners, and still playable without them — just less satisfying. If you're planning to invest in an Elation team long-term, she is well worth making a top investment priority. The sections ahead will cover core mechanics, detailed skill breakdowns, and recommended gear in order — stay tuned!

Sparxie's Skills

Sparxie's skill system is designed organically around a single goal: stack Laughter Points, gather resources, and wait for the right moment to burst. Let's walk through each skill in the order you'd use them in practice.

Basic ATK — No Interruptions During the Stream

Rarely used in its base form. After activating "Live Connection," Sparxie's Basic ATK upgrades to the Enhanced Basic ATK [A Hundred Flowers, Winner Takes All!], dealing simultaneous splash damage to the primary target and adjacent enemies. While [Reward for Good Laughs] is active, Elation DMG is additionally triggered.

Skill — Screaming! Sparxie Is Live!

Sparxie's most essential skill. On use, it activates the "Live Connection" state and allows her to trigger interactions up to 20 times. Each interaction costs 1 Skill Point and randomly grants one of the following gifts:

Gift Type
Effect Icon
Resources Gained
Notes
Blazing Bright
🚀 Rocket
Laughter Points +2 / Skill Points +2
Essentially a free interaction — with luck, the chain can keep going
Dreamily Swaying
🎁 Gift Box
Laughter Points +1
Standard acquisition route; steady resource generation

Each interaction also stacks additional DMG bonuses on the Enhanced Basic ATK: +20% to the primary target, +10% to adjacent targets. This stacks up to 20 times — at max stacks, the Enhanced Basic ATK hits extremely hard.

Ultimate — Eight-Faceted Kaleidoscope Show

An AoE attack that deals Elation DMG equal to "Elation Meter × 0.6 + 50%" to all enemies, with her Talent adding an extra 48% Elation DMG. Simultaneously grants Laughter Points +2.

The Ultimate's raw damage isn't particularly outstanding, but those 2 Laughter Points are the key. It's recommended to use the Ultimate before the Technique to bank 2 more Laughter Points before detonating. Don't waste a single resource.

Technique — Reference Number 144

This is Sparxie's true burst core. Deals 50% Elation DMG to all enemies, then triggers 20 instances of 25% Elation bounce damage, while simultaneously gaining Skill Points +2 to replenish resources for the next cycle.

Talent — Rewards for Getting a Good Laugh

While [Rewards for Getting a Good Laugh] is active, the Enhanced Basic ATK deals an additional 40% Elation DMG to the primary target and 20% Elation DMG to adjacent targets. Laughter Points are consumed and converted into [Rewards for Getting a Good Laugh] stacks — the higher the stacks, the harder the Basic ATK hits, forming the internal cycle of "Laughter Points → Rewards → High DMG."

Technique — Stream Block

On use, applies a [Block] effect to nearby enemies for 10 seconds, preventing them from detecting allied characters. Upon entering combat, deals damage to all enemies and gains 2 additional Skill Points.

💡 Don't ever ignore these 2 Skill Points. The moment right after combat starts is when resources are most scarce. A single Technique use covers the startup cost of your first action cycle. Make it a habit to use it before every fight.

Traces (Passive Skills)

The Traces form the backbone of Sparxie's damage structure, with each of the three serving a different role.

Trace

Effect

Summary

1️⃣ Sweet! Laugh Signing Event

Every 100 ATK above baseline: Elation Meter +5% (max +80%)

Target ATK ~3600; naturally satisfied with Aglaea buff

2️⃣ Fabulous! Persona Kaleidoscope

1/2/3 Elation allies → Laughter +2/4/8, Blast +1/1/4

More is better; sets up for a future full 3-Elation lineup

3️⃣ Blazing! True Color Palette

Scales with Laughter Points → whole party CRIT DMG max +80%

Laughter Points = party-wide buff

Skill Leveling Priority

The Technique and Talent are Sparxie's primary damage sources, so they come first. The Skill initiates the cycle but has relatively lower scaling efficiency, making it third priority. Level the Ultimate and Basic ATK when you have spare resources.

Technique ≥ Talent ≥ Skill ≥ Ultimate ≥ Basic ATK

Sparxie's Core Mechanics

honkai star rail sparkle

Sparxie's combat flow is actually very intuitive — it's all about turning the entire battlefield into a live stream PK. There's only one thing you need to understand the mechanics: the more Laughter Points, the higher the damage. Every other action revolves around "how do I stack Laughter Points as fast as possible?" The table below walks through the practical rotation step by step.

Phase
Description
1️⃣ Go Live
Going live costs no Skill Points. Resources are only consumed from the first interaction onward → the prerequisite for Sparxie's self-sustaining resource loop
2️⃣ Build an Audience
Each interaction randomly grants 🚀Blazing Broadcast (Laughter +2 / SP +2) or 🎁Dreamy State (Laughter +1) → replenishing while spending
3️⃣ Detonate
The Technique is a finisher, not an opener
4️⃣ Party Bonus
Damage and support in one → the core of an all-in-one DPS-support hybrid

To summarize, Sparxie's mechanics aren't complicated, but every phase is tightly linked: Go Live to prepare → stack gifts to accumulate Laughter Points → Technique to burst → Laughter Points feed back into party-wide CRIT DMG. Once you understand this loop, selecting gear and team compositions will naturally fall into place. The next section dives into concrete skill setups to keep this cycle running smoothly.

Sparxie Practical Rotation Guide

With the mechanics understood, you need a clearly ordered practical rotation. The table below lays out the full combat cycle — run through it once, and you'll have it down.

Step
Key Point
1️⃣ Technique [Block] → Skill Points +2
The opening is when resources are scarcest. These 2 SPs cover the cost of your first interaction → essential before every fight
2️⃣ Set up Aglaea buffs and positioning
Don't rush — wait until resources are sufficiently built before going live. Preparation to get the most out of that first interaction
3️⃣ Activate Live Connection → complete 20 interactions
Prioritize using 🚀Blazing Broadcast procs first. Recover Skill Points then resume interactions → stack Laughter Points quickly
4️⃣ After stream ends, use Enhanced Basic ATK
Higher [Rewards for Getting a Good Laugh] stacks = higher damage → the direct payoff for all the interactions you built up
5️⃣ Use Ultimate before Technique
Laughter Points +2. Every single Laughter Point affects the Technique's damage multiplier → never skip this
6️⃣ Technique hits all enemies
50% base + 20 × 25% bounce. Everything before this was building toward this one hit
7️⃣ Continue Skill interactions on extra turns
Laughter Points snowball → next Technique hits even harder, 0-turn burst becomes possible

💡 First-timers, just remember this one line: 20 Skill interactions → Enhanced Basic ATK → Ultimate → Technique → repeat. Get comfortable with the basic loop first, then explore advanced play afterward.

Sparxie Best Team Compositions

Even the strongest skill system can't reach its full potential without the right teammates. Sparxie's team-building logic is actually quite clear: Skill Point supply, ATK buffs, and sustain that doesn't drain the team's resources — fulfill these three conditions, and the team will run smoothly.

Sparxie's top support choice is Aglaea. Her rare multiplier windows and extra Aha Time slots mesh perfectly with Sparxie's damage cycle — there's currently no better option.

Without Aglaea, Huohuo, Topaz & Numby, Cipher are solid alternative. Huohuo solves Skill Point supply issues, while Topaz and Cipher provide reliable support from other angles.

One important note: supports like Sunday, Robin, and Wan Mei whose value is centered on Action Advance and general DMG% boosts, are not suitable for Elation teams. Elation DMG itself does not benefit from standard DMG buff multipliers, so slotting these characters in is effectively wasting a party slot — a pitfall to actively avoid when building your team.

Eidolons

Sparxie's Eidolon efficiency is very linear — every investment returns clear gains, but she is fully functional at E0, so there's no need to force additional Eidolons.

🎯

E1

★★

On Aha Time end, gain Laughter Points +5. Each Laughter Point grants the entire party All-Type RES PEN +1.5% (max +15%). 10 points achieve max stacks — easily reached in an Elation team.

Simultaneous improvement of Sub-DPS and party buff.

E2

★★

On Aha Time end, gain an extra turn + Blast Points +2. For each Blast Point spent, CRIT DMG +10% (lasts 2 turns, max 4 stacks = +40%). Buffs persist through extra turn, allowing Laughter Points to snowball.

0-turn burst potential achieved.

E4

★★

On Ultimate use, additionally gain Laughter Points +5 and personal Elation Meter +36% (lasts 3 turns). A pure stat increase with no fundamental mechanic change.

Stat boost; decide based on budget.

👑

E6

★★★

All-Type RES PEN +20%. On Technique use, each Laughter Point adds +1 bounce (max +40 additional bounces). At 40 points, bounces explode from 20 to 60 — combined with E2, she becomes a true powerhouse.

Fully ascended as a Main DPS carry.

Sparxie Ascension Materials

Knowing in advance how much material is needed to fully build Sparxie is important. The table below shows the required materials for each Ascension phase at a glance.

Path of Elation: Full Overview

Elation is a brand-new Path added in Version 4.0. There are currently two Elation characters: Sparxie and Aglaea. The Path of Elation forms a unique combat cycle centered on the dedicated "fifth character," Aha.

The full combat rhythm of the Elation system can be explained in four stages:

① Accumulation Phase: Elation characters (Sparxie, Aglaea) continuously stack Aha's Laughter Points through their own skills. This is the foundation of the entire cycle. The more Laughter Points accumulated, the stronger the subsequent burst. Don't rush — stack Laughter Points first.

② Aha Acts · Technique Detonation: When Aha acts, all Elation characters simultaneously trigger their Techniques. The more Laughter Points Aha holds at this moment, the higher the Technique damage. This is the highest damage-density window in a single cycle.

③ Laughter Point Transfer · Rewards Explosion: After Aha's action ends, accumulated Laughter Points are transferred to each Elation character, instantly triggering the bonus damage from the Rewards for Getting a Good Laugh ability. The more Laughter Points, the greater the bonus damage.

④ Re-accumulation · Virtuous Loop: Elation characters supply Aha with Laughter Points again, entering the next cycle. The entire rhythm follows Accumulate → Burst → Transfer → Re-accumulate — you get stronger the longer the fight goes.

💡 Core Elation Battleship Principle: More Elation characters = more power. Build Sparxie around ATK, build Aglaea around SPD, and follow the standard CRIT priority for Relics. The Elation Meter panel converts naturally into ATK, so there's no need to specifically chase Elation Meter% sub-stats.

Summary & Building Advice

Sparxie is the indispensable "Laughter Point Engine" of the Elation system. Trace 3 continuously provides CRIT DMG bonuses to the entire party, and Trace 2 lays the groundwork for a future 3-Elation lineup. On top of that, she delivers fully at E0, and her Eidolons and signature Light Cone follow a very linear, transparent efficiency curve — the more you invest, the reliably stronger she gets.

If you already own Aglaea or plan to run an Elation team long-term, Sparxie is a top-priority pull. Even the current two-Elation character combination already puts out impressively serious damage in this version.

For budget-constrained players, aim for at least E0 + Trace unlock as your baseline, and use the free Light Cone "Gugu and Jaja's Adventure" as a temporary stopgap. If you don't have Aglaea and have no short-term plan to obtain her, waiting until more Elation characters are added is also a valid choice.

Best of luck on the v4.0 Warps! For more character guides and version news, keep following GamsGo.

Sparxie FAQ

Who is Sparxie?

Sparxie is a 5-Star Elation Path character added in Honkai: Star Rail 4.0. She is a being born from Sparkle's mask, gaining its own consciousness — a Main DPS who stacks Laughter Points and detonates massive Elation DMG through her Technique.

When is Sparxie released?

Sparxie officially launches in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0. Check the official livestream and in-game notices for the exact Warp schedule.

Is Sparxie's signature Light Cone necessary?

The signature Light Cone is powerful but not mandatory. "Huohuo's World of Beautiful People" is peak performance, but "Today's Fortune" or "Gugu and Jaja's Adventure" are both perfectly viable options.

What is the best Relic set for Sparxie?

4-piece "Shining Justice Magical Girl" + Planar Ornament "Heaven@Live Station" 2-piece is optimal. Prioritize CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, and ATK% for your stats.

How much Energy Regeneration Rate does Sparxie need?

Sparxie is a Skill Point-centric character, so Energy Regeneration Rate is low priority. Use the Ultimate situationally, and prioritize ATK and CRIT stats over Energy Regen.

What's the difference between Sparxie and Sparkle?

Sparkle is a Quantum attribute Harmony support; Sparxie is an Elation Path Main DPS. Sparxie is a separate character born from Sparkle's mask, gaining consciousness — their Path, Type, and role are all entirely different.
