With NTE Version 1.4 now in full swing and the main story bringing the E.T.D. 6 conflict further into focus, attention is already shifting toward Version 1.5. Current leaks point to Elyms and Exe as the next major character releases, alongside new events and gameplay additions.

If those leaks hold, Version 1.5 could fill some important gaps in the current roster. Elyms is shaping up to be a key upgrade for Cosmos and Shinku teams, while Exe may finally give Chaos lineups a stronger dedicated carry.

If you plan to pull for either character, it is worth checking your pity and Riftcrystal savings before the banners arrive. An early NTE Riftcrystal top up can give you more room to plan your pulls without stretching your budget too far.

NTE Elyms Leaks: New Design, Kit & Team Role

Elyms’ Updated Character Design

nte elyms old design

Elyms’ original design dates back to NTE’s much earlier promotional material, where she was shown with long light-blue hair, purple undertones, and a softer ice-cream-inspired look. Her appearance was later reworked, with the newer Version 1.5 design moving to silver-white hair and a much more polished, theatrical style.

The Furina comparison started almost immediately after Elyms’ redesign was shown. Most players point to her white jellyfish-style bob, similar ahoge, and the same polished blue-white look, with some also noticing similarities in the eye design. In community terms, the new Elyms simply feels a little “Furina-coded” at first glance.

nte elyms furina

Elyms’ redesign may have a story explanation rather than being a simple visual replacement. The fact that her older blue-haired appearance and the newer white-haired version are so different has already led to speculation that the two forms may represent different states of the same character.

NTE has already established several precedents for this kind of idea. Requiem’s side story involves a copy derived from part of the original, while Iroi shows that an Esper-created existence can coexist with the original self rather than simply replacing it.

That makes one Elyms theory especially interesting: the white-haired version may be her original body in a severely damaged or near-death state, while the older blue-haired Elyms could be a reconstructed identity created through an Esper ability or a meme-like anomaly.

With Version 1.5 also expected to explore similar anomaly concepts in its main story, the timing gives this theory more weight, even though it remains unconfirmed.

Elyms Leaked Kit: Cosmos Support and Instant-Cycle Mechanics

Based on current datamines and community leaks, Elyms is expected to debut as a Cosmos Support built around an instant-cycle playstyle. Her kit appears designed to keep rotations moving smoothly while supporting frequent team actions rather than taking long field time herself.

Her passive is also linked to Creation-based mechanics, giving her team utility while letting her contribute some damage of her own. If the current leaks hold, Elyms could become an important piece for Cosmos teams and may even shift the balance among the current Top-Trio Affinities.

Best Teams for Elyms and Her Role in Shinku Comps

Elyms looks especially important for Shinku teams. Current setups often use the Protagonist to cover rotation and utility needs, while Elyms is expected to take over that slot without slowing the team’s cycle.

The main upgrade is that she may provide stronger support value while adding some personal damage at the same time. For players already building around Shinku, Elyms could become one of the team’s most important upgrades, while still remaining useful in other Cosmos-focused setups.

NTE Exe Leaks: Design, Attribute & Combat Role

Exe Character Design and E.T.D. 6 Identity

nte exe

Exe is the Captain of E.T.D. 6, giving him a much more commanding presence than most of the unit’s other members. His design leans heavily into a digital and mechanical theme, with long dark hair, pointed ears, and a large mechanical arm-like weapon that immediately separates him from the rest of the squad.

Exe’s presentation also leans heavily into a digital theme. In the footage shown so far, he is repeatedly surrounded by flowing data, holographic interfaces, and virtual-looking spaces rather than ordinary physical environments. Even his name, “Exe,” immediately brings to mind an executable file.

These recurring visual cues may be more than just part of his character aesthetic. They suggest that Exe’s Esper ability or combat style could involve digital constructs, virtual space, or even some form of separate digital domain. That idea would also fit naturally with the leaked clone mechanic.

Exe Attribute and Role: Chaos DPS with Utility

Current Version 1.5 leaks point to Exe as a Chaos character with a damage-focused role. However, he may not be a pure Main DPS, as early information also suggests that part of his kit could provide additional team utility.

One of the more interesting leaks is Exe’s ability to create clones of himself. Their exact function is still unclear, but the mechanic suggests he may offer more than direct on-field damage. With the Chaos roster still limited, that hybrid value could make him especially useful for future Chaos teams.

One possibility is that Exe could be a Chaos HP-scaling DPS. Most standard S-Rank characters already have a clear team system, while Fadia still lacks a truly dedicated HP-focused carry, making Exe a plausible candidate to fill that gap.

NTE 1.6 Banner Leaks (Unconfirmed): Ellie and Nitsa

Ellie and Nitsa

While Version 1.5 is expected to feature Exe and Elyms, early leaks suggest that Ellie Cordelain could become playable in Version 1.6. Nitsa has also been mentioned as a possible character, but neither the banner lineup nor its release order has been confirmed.

Ellie may also play a role in the upcoming Puka Park storyline.

Ellie's ability to bring dolls to life raises an interesting possibility: Tako could be one of her creations, using Taygedo's bizarre romance quest to get close to Eibon and gather intel on the crew.

If that's true, one of NTE's most ridiculous early storylines might actually have been setting up Ellie's arrival all along. That would be quite the plot twist, though the connection remains unconfirmed.

Should You Pull Elyms or Exe in NTE 1.5?

Based on the current leaks, Elyms looks like the safer must-pull. Her Cosmos Support role appears relatively stable, and her instant-cycle mechanics could benefit multiple Top-Trio Affinity teams rather than locking her into Shinku alone. That wider team value also gives her room to become an important piece of future Cosmos setups.

For meta-focused players, Exe is still a wait-and-see pull. Chaos already has a strong DPS option in Requiem, so Exe needs to prove that his final kit brings enough damage, utility, or a distinct team niche to justify the investment. Until his beta multipliers and full mechanics are available, his value from an account-efficiency perspective is still difficult to rank.

For husbando collectors, the decision is much easier. As one of NTE’s very few limited S-Rank male characters, Exe already has strong pull appeal regardless of the final numbers. NTE 1.5 FAQ

Why Does Elyms’ New Design Look Like Furina?

Elyms and Furina really do look quite similar. Players mainly point to Elyms’ white jellyfish-style hair, ahoge, blue-white palette, and elegant theatrical look, with “Furina-coded” becoming a common comparison.

Is Elyms a Support or Main DPS?

Current leaks still lean toward Elyms being a Cosmos Support or support-focused hybrid. Her instant-cycle and Creation mechanics appear more important than pure field time, although recent leaks showing a full melee combo have kept the DPS discussion open.

Will Exe Be a Chaos DPS or Support?

Exe is confirmed as Chaos, but his exact role is still unclear. Current leaks point toward a damage-focused hybrid rather than a pure support, with his clone mechanic potentially giving him additional utility beyond direct on-field damage.

Why Isn’t Nitsa in the NTE 1.5 Banner?

Current leaks consistently point to Elyms and Exe as the Version 1.5 characters. Nitsa has not been cancelled, but her banner appears to have been pushed to a later update despite earlier community expectations that she would arrive alongside Exe.

Will Elyms and Exe Get New Skins in Version 1.5?

Yes. Current leak discussions indicate that both Elyms and Exe will receive additional outfits around their release. Elyms is expected to have more skin options than Exe, although the exact number and unlock methods may still change.

Is NTE 1.5 a Filler Patch or a Major Update?

Version 1.5 does not look like a simple filler patch. Elyms and Exe are both closely tied to E.T.D. 6, and current discussion points to them playing important roles in the next main-story chapter, even though most event details are still unknown.
