Free VP in Valorant (2026): 8 Ways to Earn and Save

Weapon skins, bundles, and the premium Battle Pass in VALORANT usually cost VP. For players on a budget, earning free VP can reduce top-up costs or cover the small amount needed to buy a favorite skin.

There are legitimate ways to get free VP, including submitting original artwork to Riot, earning reward points, and entering community giveaways. Each comes with conditions, however, and may require time, a successful application, or a winning entry.

This guide covers eight free and low-cost ways to get VP, comparing their requirements, time commitment, and suitability. If you prefer to buy Valorant VP, our discounted GamsGo top-ups can help you spend less.

How to Get Free VP in Valorant in 2026

Here are eight free and low-cost ways to get VP. Choose the one that fits your eligibility, available time, and budget.

Get Valorant VP for Less With GamsGo

Free VP methods often involve building up rewards or waiting for events, so you may not earn enough before a skin leaves the store. To keep costs down while buying something you want, consider discounted VP top-ups from GamsGo.

GamsGo is a marketplace for digital subscriptions and game top-ups, with a range of Valorant VP packages. Some packages offer savings of around 15%, helping you get the skins and Battle Passes you want for less.

We offer DealShield buyer protection and 24/7 live customer support. If an order is not delivered or does not match its description, contact the seller first and request platform assistance if needed. Refund eligibility and amounts are reviewed under the applicable order terms.

Claim and Redeem Valorant VP Codes

A VP code is a unique code that adds Valorant Points to your account. It usually comes on a gift card or is delivered by email. Redeeming it through Riot adds VP to your balance. Cosmetic content codes, by contrast, unlock specific items.

Look for free VP codes through these channels:

• Community and creator giveaways: Enter events that explicitly offer VP codes or gift cards, then claim your code if you win. Pley.gg, for example, advertises a weekly VP giveaway.
• Brand contests and events: Look for free-to-enter gaming challenges or video contests, and check the prizes, eligible regions, and deadlines. Medal's gameplay clip contest is one example that offers a VP gift card.
• Rewards programs: Earn points through services such as Microsoft Rewards and redeem Riot gift cards that explicitly support VALORANT. Reward availability depends on your region and stock.

You can also read our Valorant codes guide for reward details, redemption instructions, and expired codes. Promotional codes commonly unlock player cards, sprays, or other cosmetics, while gift card codes add VP to your balance.

Once you have a code, follow these steps:

1. Open Riot's official redemption page, enter the full code, and select "Redeem Code." If prompted, sign in to the account that should receive the VP.
2. Select VALORANT from the available games.
3. Check the account balance and the amount of VP to be added, then confirm the redemption.

VP gift card codes are region-locked and can only be used once. Their value cannot be split between games or accounts, so check the receiving account and supported region before redeeming.

Submit Fan Art to Riot for Free VP

Art for VP is Riot's way of helping players cover a small VP shortfall. If you are just a few points away from buying a skin or other content, you can submit your own Valorant-related artwork and ask Player Support to cover the difference.

Here's how to apply:

1. Create original artwork: Draw an agent or weapon skin, or create a poem or piece of music. Your work does not need to be professional, but you must have made it yourself.
2. Submit a support ticket: Use Riot's support page to submit a VALORANT ticket. Under "In-Game Question/Issue & In-Game content refund," select "Free VP for Art Request." Upload your work and explain which item you want and how much VP you are missing.
3. Wait for a review: Player Support will review your request and add a small amount of VP if it is approved. Submitting artwork does not guarantee an award; the support team's response determines the outcome.

Riot does not publish a fixed VP allowance and does not accept AI-generated artwork. It recommends waiting at least a few months between requests, making this an occasional way to cover a small purchase shortfall.

Earn Valorant Gift Cards With Microsoft Rewards

Microsoft Rewards is Microsoft's points program. You can earn points through Bing searches and daily activities, redeem a Riot gift card that supports VALORANT, and use the code to claim VP.

Follow these steps:

1. Sign in: Visit the Microsoft Rewards website and sign in with your Microsoft account to see the tasks and rewards available in your region.
2. Earn points: Search normally with Bing and complete free activities such as quizzes and daily tasks. Available activities and daily point limits vary by region.
3. Redeem a gift card: On the "Redeem" page, look for a Riot or League of Legends gift card whose description lists VALORANT. Once you have enough points, complete any required verification and claim the code.
4. Redeem your VP: Open Riot's official redemption page, enter the code, and sign in to the receiving account. Select VALORANT, check the VP amount, and confirm.

Gift card availability and point requirements depend on your region and stock. A card's RP label refers to League of Legends currency and does not translate to the same number of VP. Check Riot's confirmation screen for the actual VP amount.

Earn PayPal Cash With Google Opinion Rewards

Google Opinion Rewards is Google's survey rewards app. Eligible iOS users can earn PayPal cash by answering surveys, then use those funds to buy VP or a compatible Riot gift card.

Follow these steps:

1. Install and sign up: Download the app from the App Store and complete your profile. Using the same email address as your PayPal account makes it easier to receive payments.
2. Complete surveys: Answer surveys when notified and build up your earnings. Google automatically sends a PayPal payment whenever your rewards balance reaches $2.
3. Buy VP: Once the payment arrives, buy VP through a top-up service that accepts PayPal, or purchase a Riot gift card for your account's region and redeem it.

The iOS app is currently available to users aged 18 and over in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, and France. Survey frequency varies. The Android version pays Google Play credit, which cannot directly fund VP purchases on PC or console.

Complete Offers on Reward and Survey Platforms

Rewards platforms offer points or cash for completing surveys, trying apps, and doing other tasks. Once you reach the redemption threshold, you can cash out to buy VP or claim a Valorant gift card if one is available.

Freecash and Idle-Empire are two platforms offering these rewards. Freecash pays users for surveys, app trials, and game tasks, with PayPal withdrawals available. Idle-Empire awards points for similar activities that can be exchanged for gift cards and other rewards.

Follow these steps:

1. Sign up and choose a task: Visit the platform's website and select an offer that requires no purchase or deposit. Check the reward, completion requirements, and deadline before starting.
2. Complete the task and claim your earnings: Follow the requirements and wait for the reward to be credited. Once you reach the threshold, request a withdrawal or gift card and complete any required verification.
3. Get your VP: Use the cash to buy VP through a supported payment option, or redeem your gift card on Riot's official redemption page. Check the receiving account, supported region, and VP amount before confirming.

These methods suit players who want to build up a VP budget in their spare time. Compare each task's reward with the time it takes, and factor withdrawal fees into your actual earnings.

Enter Valorant Giveaways From Creators and Communities

Giveaways let creators, gaming media outlets, and communities award VP codes or gift cards to selected participants. Follow the free entry requirements, such as following an account, commenting, or registering, then wait for the draw. Winners receive the prize.

Look for giveaways in these places:

• Creator accounts: Check Twitch stream announcements, YouTube video descriptions, and pinned posts on X for giveaways that explicitly offer VP codes or gift cards. Follow the stated entry requirements.
• Community Discord servers: Check announcement and giveaway channels in gaming, team, or creator servers for current rules, entry links, and draw dates.
• Gaming media websites: For example, Pley.gg's VP giveaway advertises a Friday draw with one winner receiving 2,575 VP. Follow the page's instructions to join its Discord and enter the current giveaway.

Before entering, check the deadline, age and location requirements, and the gift card's supported region. Winning depends on the draw, so giveaways are best treated as an extra chance to earn free VP.

Win VP in Community Competitions

Community competitions select winners based on match results or judging scores. Common formats include small tournaments and gameplay clip contests. Free-to-enter events with VP or gift card prizes give you a chance to earn rewards through your gameplay or creativity.

Tournament sign-ups are often announced on Discord or community pages, with prizes awarded by final placement. Creative contests require original gameplay clips scored against published criteria. Team size, rank restrictions, and content themes depend on each event's rules.

Current competitions include Medal's Valorant clip contest. Medal is a gameplay recording and sharing platform, and this contest offers a $100 VP gift card. Entrants must complete the in-app quest and submit an original clip, with one winner selected based on judging scores.

Medal's Valorant clip contest closes on October 18, 2026, Eastern Time. It is open to residents of the 50 US states and Washington, D.C., aged 18 and over. The prize is redeemable only on North American accounts. Check the eligibility and submission rules before entering.

Can You Get VP for Free in Valorant?

Yes. Riot’s artwork program can cover a small VP shortfall, while rewards programs may offer gift cards redeemable for VP. Eligibility and availability vary, and both options require meeting specific conditions.

Does the Valorant Battle Pass Give You VP?

No. The Valorant Battle Pass rewards you with weapon skins, player cards, sprays, gun buddies, and Radianite Points but no VP. The premium track costs 1,000 VP, and completing it does not refund your points or cover the cost of your next Battle Pass.

How Much Free Vp Can Riot Give You for Artwork?

Riot does not publish the exact limit or guarantee a fixed amount such as 50 VP. The program covers small purchase shortfalls, with requests reviewed by Player Support. Submissions must be original, and AI-generated artwork is not accepted.
