๐ฅ Season 42 of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang went live on September 16 with Patch 2.2.16, and the meta moved fast. Masha came back as a three-life brawler, Bruno got a full rework, and Hirara is now banned in nearly 87% of Mythic games.
If you climb solo, picking a hero that fell off this patch can cost you a whole night of stars. You need to know who is strong in your lane right now, and why they are strong.
This MLBB tier list ranks all 133 heroes across Gold Lane, EXP Lane, Mid Lane, Jungle, and Roam with clear S to C tiers, based on official Mythic ranked data and the 2.2.16 changes.

MLBB Gold Lane Tier List
Gold Lane heroes are mostly marksmen who farm the gold lane and carry the late game. Strong picks need safe farming, high sustained damage, and enough escape or self-peel to survive assassins.

๐ Why These Heroes Rank Where They Do
- Obsidia (S): She starts slow while she builds Bone Energy, then turns into one of the best late-game carries and sieges towers fast. She is the most picked hero in Mythic at 2.68%, wins 53.76% of her games, and is the most banned Gold Laner at 19.32%.
- Popol and Kupa (A): They post a strong 53.72% win rate, but only 0.38% of players pick them. Their traps and wolf take practice, so they stay in A until more players can prove them out.
- Hanabi (B): Patch 2.2.16 cuts damage on repeated Petal Blade bounces against the same target by 30% each time. She is still popular at 1.95% pick rate, but her win rate dropped to 50.54%.
- Harith (C): A mobile magic-damage carry who can play Gold or Mid. In Gold Lane he leaves your team short on physical damage, and his 46.23% win rate shows how often that backfires.
MLBB EXP Lane Tier List
EXP Lane heroes are mostly fighters and tanks who win 1v1 trades, protect the side lane, and join team fights from the flank. Strong picks need sustain, reliable crowd control, and a strong mid game.

๐ Why These Heroes Rank Where They Do
- Masha (S): Her revamp gives her three HP bars, and Claw Strike resets its cooldown each time she loses one. She now wins long team fights instead of only split-pushing, with the best win rate in Mythic at 59.81% and a 44.48% ban rate.
- Gloo (S): He attaches to an ally and shares the damage they take, which makes him a nightmare to kill. He wins 53.66% of his games and is banned in 48.15%. HP% and true damage are his main counters.
- Paquito (S): His Enhanced Skill 2 lost damage scaling this patch, so his win rate is only 50.58%. Players still fear his burst combos and ban him in 50.89% of games, the highest in EXP Lane.
- Argus (A): The 2.2.16 buffs give his passive a 30% Crit Chance, and his Ultimate hits harder as his HP drops. His 55.62% win rate is top-tier, but only 0.50% of players pick him, so he sits just below S for now.
MLBB Mid Lane Tier List
Mid Lane heroes are mostly mages who clear waves quickly, rotate to help other lanes, and control team fights with burst or crowd control. Strong picks need fast wave clear and reliable damage from range.

๐ Why These Heroes Rank Where They Do
- Eudora (S): Her revamp gives her stuns that set up one-hit combos, and she pressures lanes early. She is banned in 65.88% of Mythic games, which is why she sits in S with a 51.48% win rate. She falls off against high-sustain lineups.
- Valir (S): His fire poke and knockbacks keep divers away from your backline. He has the best Mid Lane win rate at 53.63%, and his kit is simple enough to play well in solo queue.
- Gord (A): His long-range poke wins 53.39% of games, but only 0.56% of players pick him. He is a strong option if you can land his skills from max range.
- Zetian (B): His Ultimate reveals and stuns enemies anywhere on the map, and players pick him often at 1.93%. He has no mobility and needs Skill 2 to land first, so his win rate sits at 50.40%.
MLBB Jungle Tier List
Jungle heroes are mostly assassins and fighters who farm the jungle, secure Turtle and Lord, and gank lanes early. Strong picks need fast clear speed, early ganking power, and a way to snowball leads.

๐ Why These Heroes Rank Where They Do
- Hirara (S): The 133rd hero uses an energy system instead of normal cooldowns. Landing both her Crimson and Death marks on one target immobilizes it, and her dashes make her hard to catch. She is banned in 86.91% of Mythic games, the highest rate in MLBB.
- Aulus (S): After his 2.2.16 buffs, his Enhanced Basic Attacks trigger off any skill hit and heal him on every hit, and Skill 2 now stuns. He wins 59.74% of his games and is banned in 41.75%.
- Lukas (A): His passive now builds Resolve faster, and both skills deal more damage. He works in Jungle and EXP Lane, wins 52.93% of his games, and is banned in 51.25%.
- Yi Sun-shin (B): His Skill 1 cooldown went up at low levels, so he dashes less in the early game. He still reveals the map and can carry from behind, but his 49.40% win rate puts him at B for now.
MLBB Roam Tier List
Roam heroes are tanks and supports who protect carries, start fights, and control vision. Strong picks need crowd control, durability, and healing or shields that keep the team alive in long fights.

๐ Why These Heroes Rank Where They Do
- Rafaela (S): Her heals, slows, and speed boosts keep the whole team alive and moving. She has the best Roam win rate at 59.65% and a 24.19% ban rate, and she is easy to learn.
- Marcel (S): His Golden Hour Ultimate freezes everything inside a stasis field, and it can now interrupt location-targeted skills like Eudora's Ultimate. He took small damage nerfs, yet he still wins 58.29% of his games and is banned in 50.40%.
- Belerick (S): His Ultimate taunts every enemy in range, which shuts down coordinated team fights. He is the most banned Roamer at 66.83%, so he moves up to S despite a 50.86% win rate.
- Khufra (A): His bounce and knockups lock down dashing heroes, and he wins 54.71% of his games. Only 0.39% of players pick him, so he stays in A until more players take him into ranked.
Mobile Legends Tier Definitions
S Tier - Meta-Defining: The strongest heroes of the current patch. They have a big impact on the match and show up often in picks or bans. If they are open, pick them first.
A Tier - Strong and Reliable: Core meta picks that are strong in most matchups. They are great alternatives to S-tier heroes and safe blind picks in ranked.
B Tier - Situational: Heroes that need the right matchup, team comp, or a skilled player to shine. They are good counter-picks but riskier as blind picks.
C Tier - Weak or Off-Meta: Heroes outclassed by other picks this patch. They are not recommended for climbing unless you are a one-trick specialist.
๐ก Lanes are not locked. Each hero is listed in the lane where they are played most in ranked, but many heroes flex into other roles. Lukas, Sun, and Barats can all play Jungle or EXP Lane, and Gloo works as both EXP and Roam.
How We Ranked Heroes for This Season 42 Tier List
We start with the official MLBB hero stats on mobilelegends.com, filtered to Mythic rank and the past 15 days (updated October 13, 2026), so every game is from Patch 2.2.16.
The official stats do not split heroes by lane, so we place each hero in the lane where they are played most and compare them only against heroes in that lane.
| Metric | How We Use It |
| Win Rate | The starting point: 53%+ for S, 51.5%+ for A, 49%+ for B, and below 49% for C |
| Pick Rate | An S-tier hero needs an above-average pick or ban rate in its lane. Heroes picked in fewer than 0.2% of games drop one tier, since their win rates come from a small group of mains |
| Ban Rate | Shows how much players fear a hero. Heroes banned in 40%+ of games stay at A or higher |
| Patch 2.2.16 Changes | Buffs, nerfs, and revamps are checked against the data to see whether a hero is rising or falling |
The data is only the starting point. We then check every hero against the tier definitions above:
- The most banned hero in each lane reaches S. Eudora (65.88%), Belerick (66.83%), and Paquito (50.89%) move up to S, since players clearly fear them more than their win rates show.
- Strong numbers need real match presence. Argus, Gord, Khufra, Bruno, Irithel, and Popol and Kupa have S-level win rates but few players pick or ban them, so they sit in A.
- Tiny samples drop one tier. Lolita and Diggie win over 53.7% of their games, but fewer than 0.2% of players pick them, so they sit in A instead of S.

MLBB Season 42 Spotlight: Masha Revamp, Bruno Rework, and Hirara
Patch 2.2.16 revamped two heroes and changed how a third fits the meta. Here is what each one does now and where it lands in this tier list.
1. Revamped Masha
Masha moves from a split-pusher to a sustained team fight brawler. She lands straight in S tier for EXP Lane.
| Masha Skills (Patch 2.2.16) | |
| Passive: Primal Pact | Masha has three HP bars and only dies when the third is empty. Damaging heroes or creeps builds Feral, which turns into HP after she leaves combat. |
| Wound and Feral | Her skills leave a Wound. Hitting a Wound with a basic attack triggers Feral, making her next three basic attacks wide claw strikes with bonus Resilience, Attack Speed, and Movement Speed. |
| S1: Feral Swipe | Sends energy forward, damaging enemies in its path and slowing enemy heroes hit. |
| S2: Claw Strike | A dash that ends in a wide claw strike. Losing an HP bar resets its cooldown. |
| Ultimate: Savage Maul | Charges at a target hero to deal damage and stun it, knocking back nearby enemies. |
2. Reworked Bruno
Bruno trades raw Volley Shot damage for more control. His Worldie now stuns for 0.5s instead of 0.1s and reaches farther, and he sits in A tier for Gold Lane with a 53.36% win rate.
| Bruno Changes (Patch 2.2.16) | |
| S1: Volley Shot | Base damage 100-225 โ 75-150. Mana cost 60-85 โ 50-75. The Powerball now stays on the ground for 3s instead of 2s. |
| S2: Slide | Mana cost 60 โ 90. Cooldown 7s โ 9-7s by level. Stun duration 0.5s โ 0.1s. |
| Ultimate: Worldie | Cast range 5.6 โ 6. Knockback and stun 0.1s โ 0.5s. First hit 250-450 (+83% Total Physical Attack) โ 200-400 (+80%). |
3. Hirara, the Most Banned Hero
Hirara joined the roster on June 17 as the 133rd hero. She is a jungle assassin with two core skills that combine into new moves, instead of the usual three skills and an Ultimate.
- Energy instead of cooldowns: Her skills spend energy, which only recovers after a short pause in casting. Cooldown Reduction speeds up energy recovery.
- Crimson and Death marks: Each core skill applies a different mark. An enemy with both marks is briefly immobilized, which sets up her burst.
- Combo skills: Casting her two skills in different orders creates combo moves with extra dashes and area damage, making her hard to pin down.
Her kit is hard to master, but in the right hands she snowballs games from the first few minutes. That is why she is banned in 86.91% of Mythic matches. Counter her with hard crowd control, good vision, and a Roamer who stays close to your carry.
How to Unlock Heroes in Mobile Legends
There are several ways to grow your hero pool in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang:
- Battle Points (BP): Earned from matches, quests, and level-ups. Most heroes can be bought with BP alone.
- Diamonds: The premium currency. Diamonds unlock heroes instantly, including the newest releases.
- Hero Fragments: Collected from chests and events, then exchanged for selected heroes in the Fragment Shop.
- Event Rewards: Seasonal and anniversary events often give free heroes, trial cards, or skins.

Tips for Choosing the Right Hero in MLBB
- Play heroes you know well: An A-tier hero you have mastered usually beats an S-tier pick you are still learning.
- Fill what your team is missing: Every draft needs a frontline, magic and physical damage, and some crowd control. Do not stack five fragile heroes.
- Watch the difficulty: Heroes like Hirara and Ling have high skill ceilings. For climbing, pick simpler heroes like Rafaela or Valir until you are ready.
- Counter-pick when you can: Heavy crowd control punishes assassins, and true damage heroes like Karrie punish tanky lineups.
- Keep a small hero pool: Two or three heroes per role is enough to stay consistent and learn matchups.
- Follow patch changes: Buffed heroes like Aulus and Argus climb fast, so check each new patch before ranked.

Hero Balance Adjustments
๐ Key Buffs
- Aulus's Enhanced Basic Attacks now trigger off any skill hit and heal him per hit, and Skill 2's first cast stuns instead of granting lifesteal.
- Argus gains 30% Crit Chance on his passive, crits trigger an extra Demonic Slash, and his Ultimate scales harder as his HP drops.
- Aldous' passive shield now triggers every 8 seconds instead of after 3 basic attacks, with a Movement Speed burst.
- Lukas' passive Resolve gain rises from 2 to 3.5, and Skill 1 and Skill 2 deal more damage.
- Kaja's Skill 1 cooldown drops from 7s to 5.5s, and it now heals for 45% of Total Magic Power.
- Karina's Skill 1 cooldown is a full second shorter at every rank, and her Enhanced Basic Attack hits harder.
๐ Key Nerfs
- Hanabi's repeated Petal Blade bounces on the same target deal 30% less damage each time.
- Yi Sun-shin's Skill 1 cooldown is longer at low levels, so he dashes less early.
- Melissa's Skill 1 Attack Speed bonus and duration are lower, and her Muddles transfer less damage.
- Miya's single-target damage is slightly lower, and a Split Arrow bug that dealt extra damage is fixed.
- Paquito's early-to-mid game burst is slightly lower.
๐ง Adjustments
- Odette can now move at reduced speed while casting her Ultimate.
- Marcel deals a little less early damage, but his Ultimate can now interrupt location-targeted skills.
- Sun's clones deal less damage and give less gold when killed, which tones down his roaming build.
Map and Battlefield Updates
- 2026 Annual Map Change (from September 28): Revealing Wisps expose hidden enemies, the Healing Turtle now heals allies on the enemy's strongest lane, and destroyed turrets give much more team gold.
- Economy: Horned Lizard, Fire Beetle, and Lava Golem give 13% less base gold, and the gold gap needed for comeback bounties drops from 2,000 to 1,500.
- Targeting: "Lowest Effective HP" replaces "Lowest HP" in targeting options, factoring in Penetration, Defense, and HP.
- Turrets: Heroes' own Enhanced Basic Attacks can now hit turrets, and Sun, Argus, Gusion, Thamuz, Dyrroth, and Masha can trigger HP Regen on them.
Final Thoughts
The Season 42 meta rewards sustain and crowd control. Revamped Masha, buffed Aulus, and a deep pool of S-tier Roamers shape most ranked games, while Hirara, Belerick, and Eudora dominate the ban phase.
