The Astral Express navigator is entering a new chapter. Himeko Nova is expected to arrive in Phase 1 of Version 4.4 as a 5-star Fire Erudition character, likely running from July 14, 2026 (UTC-5) to August 05, 2026, if Version 4.4 follows the usual 6-week schedule.
Unlike normal AoE DPS units, Himeko Nova appears to rely on her whole team. Current beta info says she can grant Assist Skills, buff herself through ally actions, and use Fire attacks to reduce Toughness more flexibly.
Here is what we know so far, including her expected banner date, leaked kit, combat role, team ideas, Light Cone value, and early pull advice. This page will be updated when HoYoverse shares more details.

Who Is Himeko Nova?
Himeko Nova is the new form of Himeko in Honkai: Star Rail, and yes, Trailblazers finally get to see the Astral Express navigator step into the spotlight again.
She is expected to arrive in Version 4.4 as a 5-star Fire Erudition character. That already tells us two things: she keeps Himeko’s classic Fire identity, but this new form is clearly built for a different kind of combat role.
Before we get into her leaked kit, let’s first look at what has been confirmed, what her new design says about her, and how she may connect to the upcoming Planarcadia story.
Himeko Nova Confirmed Details
| Detail | Info |
| Character Name | Himeko • Nova |

| Element | Fire |
| Path | Erudition |
| Faction | Astral Express / The Nameless |
| Expected Version | Version 4.4 |
| Expected Banner | Phase 1 |

| One-line Role | Fire Erudition DPS with Assist Skill and team synergy |
Himeko Nova Character Design

Himeko Nova looks like a younger version of Himeko, and that is probably the first thing many Trailblazers will notice from the leaked model images.
She still keeps Himeko’s signature red hair, white outfit, gold details, and elegant posture. But compared with the original Himeko, Nova feels lighter, sharper, and more energetic.
Her outfit uses red panels, star ornaments, shoulder tassels, and long flowing fabric to keep the Astral Express theme visible. It feels formal, but not heavy. It also makes her look closer to a young navigator setting out on her own journey.
The design does not turn Himeko into a completely different character. It feels more like a look at Himeko from another stage of her life.
Starblazer, Himeko Nova’s Mecha Companion

The biggest visual surprise is the mecha companion shown in leaks. Some leak posts call it Himeko Nova’s servant, while current kit discussions often connect it with Starblazer.
This machine uses the same red, white, and gold color palette as Himeko Nova. Its wing-like armor and sharp mechanical frame make it look like a battle unit built for space and rail-themed combat.
That one detail changes her whole combat image. Instead of only calling down orbital Fire attacks, Himeko Nova now looks like she fights beside a giant machine that carries her Trailblaze theme into battle.
Himeko Nova Story Background and Lore Connections
Himeko has always been more than a passenger on the Astral Express. She is the person who repaired the train, gathered the crew, and helped start the journey that Trailblazers are still following.
That is why Himeko Nova feels important before we even talk about numbers. A new form for her naturally points back to the Astral Express, the Nameless, and the meaning of moving forward.
Her reveal lines also mention companionship, the silver rail, and setting sail again. Those ideas fit closely with Planarcadia, where Himeko’s past and the future of the Express may both become more important.
So, for now, Himeko Nova looks like more than a simple alternate form. She may become one of the key characters who connects the Planarcadia story with the larger Trailblaze journey.
Himeko Nova Kit Preview
Himeko Nova is expected to be a Fire Erudition DPS who turns ally actions into her own damage value. Her kit does not only ask you to wait for her turn. It asks the whole team to help her build momentum.
Himeko Nova Core Mechanic Explained
| Core Point | Preview |
| Main Mechanic | Himeko Nova deploys Starblazer Visioscape when she is on the field. This grants allies access to an Assist Skill. |
| Team Value | When allies use the Assist Skill, Himeko Nova gains offensive buffs and pushes her own damage cycle forward. |
| Beta Buffs | Current beta info mentions All-Type RES PEN, CRIT DMG, and Toughness reduction that can ignore enemy Weakness Type. |
| Simple Read | She plays like a team-driven Fire DPS. The smoother your team triggers Assist Skills, the better her rotation should feel. |
Himeko Nova Skill Breakdown
| Icon | Skill | Preview |
![]() | Basic ATK Enkindle the First Lodestar | Deals Fire damage to one enemy. Based on current info, this looks like a backup action instead of the center of her rotation. |
![]() | Skill Uprise the Vanward Cresset | Grants Navigator's Semaphore for several turns. While active, it restores Assist Skill uses and increases team damage. |
![]() | Ultimate We, Too, Stride the Stars | Lets Himeko Nova pilot Starblazer. It uses repeated AoE attacks and then spends Source Energy for stronger follow-up damage. |
![]() | Talent Of Fire and Far Faring | Deploys Starblazer Visioscape and grants Assist Skills to allies. This is the real core of Himeko Nova's kit. |
Rotation Note
Himeko Nova's Skill keeps the Assist Skill engine running, while her Talent gives the team access to that engine. Her Ultimate then converts the setup into repeated Fire damage.
| Icon | Starblazer Action | What It Does |
![]() | Hyperluminal Particle Beam | Deals Fire damage to all enemies and gains Source Energy. This looks like the setup part of her Ultimate sequence. |
![]() | Orbital Annihilation Pulse | Consumes Source Energy to deal Fire damage. Current beta info suggests it can add extra random single-target hits. |
Assist Skill and Companion Protocol
| Icon | Effect | Preview |
![]() | Assist Skill Trailblaze, By Your Side | Deals Fire damage to all enemies and adds extra random hits. When Himeko Nova uses it herself, the effect becomes stronger. |
![]() | Companion Protocol Verdict | Current beta info links this state to Ultimate damage value. It can also trigger an extra Assist Skill after teammate Ultimate actions. |
![]() | Companion Protocol Decimation | This state focuses more on team CRIT DMG and Charge. When Charge reaches the required count, Himeko Nova can launch another Assist Skill. |
Himeko Nova Traces

When Himeko Nova can use Assist Skill during her own turn, using it does not consume Assist Skill uses.
Requirement: Ascension 2

When another Trailblaze Companion uses Assist Skill, that character gains 1 extra turn and can use their Ultimate during that turn.
Requirement: Ascension 4

When using Ultimate, Himeko Nova immediately gains 3 Source Energy. If Source Energy is high enough, Orbital Annihilation Pulse gains stronger random single-target damage.
Requirement: Ascension 6
Bonus Stat Nodes
| Icon | Stat | Why It Matters |
![]() | Fire DMG Boost | Supports her main damage type and improves the value of her repeated Fire hits. |
![]() | ATK Boost | Helps her personal damage because most of her leaked multipliers scale with ATK. |
![]() | CRIT Rate Boost | Makes her CRIT setup easier, especially if her kit already provides CRIT DMG through Assist Skill effects. |
How Himeko Nova Plays in Combat
| Combat Point | Early Read |
| Role | Himeko Nova looks like a main DPS with team-driven support elements. She deals damage herself, but teammates help unlock her best flow. |
| Best Mode Direction | She should have strong potential in AoE content. Pure Fiction is the most obvious mode where repeated Fire hits can shine. |
| Weakness Flexibility | If her Toughness-ignore effect stays strong, she may be less dependent on enemies having Fire Weakness. |
| Main Needs | She will likely care about team fit, Assist Skill management, Ultimate uptime, and teammates who can act or use Ultimates smoothly. |
Himeko Nova Signature Light Cone
Himeko Nova's signature Light Cone is A Star That Lights the Night. Based on current beta info, it directly supports her ATK, Assist Skill damage, Ultimate damage, and DEF Ignore.
| Light Cone | Effect Preview |
![]() A Star That Lights the Night HP 846 | ATK 635 | DEF 529 | First Wish Increases the wearer's ATK by 40%/50%/60%/70%/80%. If there are 2 Trailblaze Companion characters in the team, the wearer ignores 20%/25%/30%/35%/40% of the target's DEF when dealing damage. When the wearer uses an Assist Skill, they gain Safe Escort for 2 turns. This state stacks up to 3 times. Each Safe Escort stack increases Assist Skill DMG by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40%. At 3 stacks, each stack also increases Ultimate DMG by 60%/75%/90%/105%/120%. |
Early Pull Read
This Light Cone looks very tailored to Himeko Nova. It boosts the same parts of her kit that matter most: Assist Skills, Ultimate damage, and Trailblaze Companion team value.
Himeko Nova Eidolons: Where to Stop Pulling
Based on current beta info, most Trailblazers should look at E0S1 as the best value stopping point. Himeko Nova's signature Light Cone supports her Assist Skill and Ultimate damage more directly than her early Eidolons.
Recommended Pull Order
| Pull Target | Recommendation |
| E0 | Pull the character first. Her core Assist Skill system appears to be part of her base kit. |
| S1 | Usually the best first upgrade. Her Light Cone boosts ATK, Assist Skill DMG, Ultimate DMG, and DEF Ignore in the right team. |
| E1 | A good comfort upgrade. It makes Companion Protocol effects easier to trigger and adds more Assist Skill value. |
| E2 | A strong high-investment stop. It improves Assist Skill uses and opens extra-turn value to more teammates. |
| E6 | A whale target. It greatly pushes her Source Energy and Fire RES PEN, but most players do not need to go this far. |
Best Stopping Points
| Stopping Point | Who It Fits |
| E0 | Best for F2P players who mainly want Himeko Nova herself. You get the new form, the Assist Skill system, and her full basic role. |
| E0S1 | Best value for most players. Her signature Light Cone fits her kit cleanly and should be easier to justify than chasing Eidolons first. |
| E1S1 | Good for players who really like her and want a smoother rotation. E1 helps her companion-based effects trigger more easily. |
| E2S1 | A strong realistic high-investment setup. E2 improves Assist Skill uptime and gives her more team-building flexibility. |
| E3 / E4 / E5 | Not recommended as final stopping points. They add value, but they are usually stepping stones if you are already going for E6. |
Himeko Nova Eidolon Effects
| Eidolon | Name | Effect Preview | |
![]() E1 | That Which We Stride Is the Trailblaze | Increases the Talent's extra Assist Skill trigger count by 1. Verdict needs fewer Ultimate uses, Decimation needs less Charge, and Himeko Nova gains more extra Assist Skill damage value.
![]() E2 | The Colors We Never Strike | Raises max Assist Skill uses to 2 and increases Assist Skill DMG by 24%. Navigator's Semaphore restores more uses, and non-Trailblaze Companion characters can also gain extra turns from her Trace.
![]() E3 | We Who Are Starborn Muse Starward | Ultimate Lv. +2, up to Lv. 15. Basic ATK Lv. +1, up to Lv. 10.
![]() E4 | Let No Skyward Hand Stay Unheld | When using the Assist Skill from her Talent, the All-Type RES PEN increase applies to all allies. Himeko Nova also gains an additional 10% All-Type RES PEN.
![]() E5 | To Cross the Cosmos and Beyond | Skill Lv. +2, up to Lv. 15. Talent Lv. +2, up to Lv. 15.
![]() E6 | Ours Is the Oath to Sail Starward | Increases Fire RES PEN by 20%. Max Source Energy rises to 6, Assist Skill actions grant Source Energy, and Orbital Annihilation Pulse gains an extra AoE Fire hit when Source Energy is high enough.
Best Early Team Ideas for Himeko Nova
Himeko Nova should work best as the main DPS in teams that help her trigger Assist Skills, improve her Ultimate uptime, and keep the rotation smooth. Current team discussions often mention Mortenax Blade, Tribbie, Sparkle, Cyrene, Sunday, Hyacine, Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae, Lingsha, and Huohuo as possible partners.
| Team Direction | Recommended Partners |
| High-Investment Core | Mortenax Blade, Tribbie, Sparkle, Cyrene, Sunday |
| Trailblaze Companion Direction | Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae, Mortenax Blade, future Trailblaze Companion units |
| Support and Sustain Options | Sunday, Sparkle, Tribbie, Hyacine, Lingsha, Huohuo |
| Low-Spend Direction | Use your best Harmony or Nihility support, one sustain, and one flexible teammate who helps with SP, buffs, or extra actions. |
For auto-battle, Himeko Nova may perform well if the game handles Assist Skills correctly. Her repeated AoE damage should help in farming and Pure Fiction-style content.
In harder stages, manual play may still be better. If her best rotation depends on exact Assist Skill timing, players who manage her actions manually should get cleaner results.
Himeko Nova Banner Date and Pull Planning
Himeko Nova is expected to arrive in Version 4.4 Phase 1. Since Version 4.3 runs from June 1 to July 14, 2026, Version 4.4 should begin around mid-July if Honkai: Star Rail keeps its usual 6-week update cycle.
| Date / Window | Milestone |
| June 1, 2026 | Version 4.3 begins. This version is expected to run until July 14, 2026. |
| June 1 - July 14, 2026 | Version 4.3 saving window. Players can collect Stellar Jade from daily rewards, events, endgame modes, shop reset, and other sources. |
| July 14, 2026 (UTC-5) | Expected Version 4.4 launch window in UTC-5 regions, based on the standard 6-week update cycle. |
| July 15, 2026 (Server Time) | Expected Version 4.4 launch window for server time. Himeko Nova is expected to arrive in Phase 1. |
| July 15 - August 05, 2026 | Expected Himeko Nova Phase 1 banner window, if the usual schedule remains unchanged. |

How Many Pulls Can You Save Before Himeko Nova?
The table below uses the Version 4.3 reward estimate from June 1 to July 14 as a planning reference. It is not an official final count, but it helps Trailblazers understand how much Stellar Jade they may save before Himeko Nova's expected Version 4.4 Phase 1 banner.
If Himeko Nova is your main target, plan around your current pity first. A player at low pity with no guarantee needs a much larger safety net than a player who is already close to soft pity.
| Player Type | Estimated Pulls | What This Means |
| F2P | Around 93 pulls | Enough to reach or approach one 5-star pity cycle if you save carefully and clear most available content. |
| Express Supply Pass | Around 117 pulls | Gives better E0 security, especially if you already have pity built on the limited character banner. |
| Express Supply Pass + Nameless Glory | Around 125 pulls | Better for players aiming at E0S1, but you still need to count Character Warp pity and Light Cone pity separately. |
Where the Pulls Come From
| Main Source | Examples |
| Regular Rewards | Daily Training, Gift of Odyssey, shop reset, weekly SU or CW reset, character showcases, and maintenance rewards. |
| Events | Pixel Plane Rumble, Wispae Amusement Park, Pom-Pom Assist, Furbobocom, and other Version 4.3 event rewards. |
| Endgame Modes | Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, Apocalyptic Shadow, and related reset rewards. |
| Extra Sources | Version 4.4 Special Program codes, redemption codes, new achievements, missions, and new map rewards. You can track active freebies in our Honkai: Star Rail codes guide. |
What This Means for Your Stellar Jade
Himeko Nova should use the regular limited character banner system unless HoYoverse announces otherwise. That means your existing limited character pity and guarantee status should matter for her banner.
| Scenario | Pulls Needed | Stellar Jade Cost |
| Win the 50/50 | Up to 90 | Up to 14,400 Stellar Jade |
| Lose the 50/50, then guarantee | Up to 180 | Up to 28,800 Stellar Jade |
| Add signature Light Cone | Up to 80 more | Up to 12,800 Stellar Jade more |
A realistic safe target is 28,800 Stellar Jade if you want to guarantee Himeko Nova from zero pity. If you also want her signature Light Cone, budget more carefully and avoid spending your pity on banners you do not truly want.
Running low before her banner? You can top up Honkai: Star Rail at GamsGo to prepare for Himeko Nova and save up to 30% off.
Himeko Nova Preview Verdict: Is She Worth Pulling?
Himeko Nova is worth watching closely. She brings Fire Erudition damage, Assist Skill gameplay, Starblazer visuals, and possible Toughness flexibility. That gives her a strong identity before release.
For most Trailblazers, E0 is the safest first target. If her signature Light Cone keeps its current beta value, E0S1 may become the best stopping point for players who want a stronger setup.
New players should wait for final reviews before spending everything. Veteran players with strong supports may get more immediate value from her team-based kit.
If you love Himeko or the Astral Express crew, Himeko Nova is an easy character to be excited about. If you pull only for strength, wait for final numbers before deciding.
