The current event is Champions Meeting: Scorpio Cup (CM19), held at Kyoto on Turf over 2,200m (Medium). Acceleration timing, the downhill section, Stamina requirements, and Running Style all directly affect performance here, so CM19 strength cannot be judged by the Overall Tier alone.Oguri Cap [Ashen Miracle] remains one of the strongest Ace picks in the current CM19 environment. Pace Chasers also have a clear advantage on this course because the downhill section is close to the start of the late-race phase, giving acceleration skills such as Determined Descent and Straight Descent favorable activation timing.

As a result, Tamamo Cross, Fine Motion, and Meisho Doto are more valuable in the Scorpio Cup than their Overall ratings alone would suggest.

Nakayama Festa [Desperate Measures] is placed in A Tier here because 2,200m Medium matches her starting aptitude, and Late Surger can take advantage of the current backline acceleration options. Her kit also includes a green skill with a random element. When it pays off, the stat boost can be strong, but compared with top Trainees that do not rely on chance or an unfavored condition, her performance can vary more from one run to the next even with a similar build.

Training Ease is not a measure of raw character strength. It reflects how consistently a Trainee can be trained in the current Our Grand Concert scenario. The main factors are starting distance and Running Style Aptitudes, how focused the Career goals are, Growth Rates, access to key skills, and whether the build depends heavily on Sparks or a specific Support Deck.

S, A, B, and C only show priority within the specific mode or use case. A Trainee rated B Overall can still perform at A or even S Tier in the right Team Trials distance or a specific Champions Meeting.

For a new account, rerolling should not focus only on Trainees. Support Cards directly affect training efficiency, Skill Points, access to key Rare Skills, and the final stat ceiling of your Veteran Umamusume, so they often have more long-term account value than pulling a single strong Trainee.

In the current Our Grand Concert scenario, Light Hello has very high scenario-specific value, but much of that value is tied to this scenario. Versatile cards such as Kitasan Black and Fine Motion retain their value more easily across scenarios, so the best card right now is not always the best long-term reroll target.

Use Parents and Grandparents with the matching Pink Sparks. Inheritance can raise a lower Aptitude to A at the start of a Career, but reaching S usually requires another Aptitude boost from an Inspiration Event during training.

How Should I Build a Team Trials Team?

For the same distance, try to use three Veteran Umamusume with different Running Styles while also considering distance Aptitude, Unique Skill reliability, skill count, and Stamina. This makes it easier to score consistently and earn Good Positioning bonuses.
