When HoYoverse suddenly went live this morning, we thought we were finally getting a full Sunbringer reveal. Turns out, it was more of a teaser. Some new artwork, a redemption code, and that was pretty much it.

But don't let the short stream fool you. It actually answered some of the questions we've been asking for months. Are Eldreda, Dracaene, and Lindverne coming as three separate Agents or one 3-in-1 character? What's Sunbringer's attribute and specialty? We finally have some answers, including her unusual blue Fire and Armorer specialty.

We'll keep this article updated with the latest ZZZ Sunbringer news, from her 3-in-1 gameplay to upcoming reveals and release details. And if you're already preparing for the rumored ZZZ 3.4 collab, you can also top up Zenless Zone Zero on GamsGo.

Latest Sunbringer Reveal: Eldreda, Dracaene and Lindverne

This time, HoYoverse did something unusual with its Agent Record. Instead of the usual single-Agent splash art, Eldreda, Dracaene, and Lindverne all appear together in one official Sunbringer illustration, with Eldreda taking center stage.

Dracaene
Lindverne
Eldreda

That wasn't the only clue. Their individual teasers didn't reveal separate attributes or specialties. Instead, the final Agent Record brought all three together under the Sunbringer name, complete with a shared Fire attribute and Armorer specialty.

This strongly confirms that Sunbringer is a 3-in-1 Agent, rather than three separate characters arriving on different banners.

What remains unclear is how the three will actually work in combat. Will we be able to switch between Eldreda, Dracaene, and Lindverne, or will Eldreda take the lead while the other two join her attacks? We'll need the gameplay reveal to find out.

Latest ZZZ 3.4 and Future Leaks

Beyond Sunbringer's reveal, a new batch of leaks has been making the rounds, covering everything from Version 3.4 banners to potential buffs and future Void Hunters. Take these with a grain of salt, but some of them are pretty interesting.

  1. No Spending Event, but Robin's W-Engine at 200 Pulls? Version 3.4 reportedly won't have a cumulative top-up event. Instead, Robin's signature W-Engine could be available as a milestone reward after 200 pulls.
  2. Sunbringer Skin for 2,680 Monochromes: One purchase, three outfits! The rumored skin bundle would cover all three Sunbringers, with Eldreda, Dracaene, and Lindverne also getting their own separate hangout invitations.
  3. The No-50/50 Banner May Return: Another guaranteed S-Rank rerun banner could feature three selectable Agents. Cissia and Starlight Billy are possible picks, with Ju Fufu or Sigrid potentially taking the third slot.
  4. Shorter Version 3.5 and Cecilia in 3.6: Version 3.5 may be shortened to make room for the Lunar New Year update. Cecilia is also rumored to become playable in Version 3.6.
  5. Vivian and Ju Fufu Buffs: Both could receive Potential Activation upgrades. Vivian's changes are especially interesting, as they may help her work better with Kafka, potentially giving the HSR crossover Agent another strong teammate.
  6. Another Wind Void Hunter in Version 3.7: Sunbringer might not be the last Void Hunter of Season 3. There's already talk of another Void Hunter with the Wind attribute and Attack specialty arriving around Version 3.7.
  7. HSR Crossover Banners May Last Longer: Robin and Kafka's collaboration banners might not follow the usual three-week rotation. They could stay available for an extended period, giving players more time to save and pull.
  8. A Free S-Rank Outfit? We might also be getting a free S-Rank Agent outfit, reportedly on the same level as Vivian's swimsuit skin. No word yet on which Agent will get it.

If even half of these leaks turn out to be true, Version 3.4 and the following updates are going to be packed. For now, we're especially curious about the Sunbringer skin bundle, Vivian's potential buffs, and that mysterious Wind Void Hunter.

ZZZ Sunbringer Gameplay

sunbringer zzz

The October 24 gameplay reveal confirmed that Eldreda, Dracaene, and Lindverne fight together as a single Agent, giving Sunbringer a true 3-in-1 combat style.

Eldreda and Lindverne take turns leading attacks on the field, while Dracaene provides defensive support through parries and counters. Each has a distinct role, allowing all three Sunbringers to work together in combat.

So, what can each of them actually do? Below, we'll break down Eldreda, Dracaene, and Lindverne's skill kits and their roles in combat.

ZZZ Sunbringer Fire Armorer, Special Fire and Void Hunter

Sunbringer's latest Agent Record features four icons, and each one tells us something interesting about her identity and potential gameplay.

zzz sunbringer fire armorer

Void Hunter: A Familiar Symbol

The first is the familiar Void Hunter emblem, which we've already seen on Miyabi, Ye Shunguang, and Remielle. As one of the original Void Hunters, Sunbringer carrying this symbol comes as no surprise.

Enchainer: A Symbol from the Hive Lord Hollow

If you watched the second anniversary Prophecy MV, the second icon might look familiar. The same symbol is closely tied to the Hive Lord Hollow and has appeared as an important part of Sunbringer's design.

It now looks more like a special Enchainer emblem. We might see other Enchainers with this symbol in the future, but Sunbringer's connection to both the Void Hunters and Enchainers already makes her particularly interesting.

Special Fire: Lindverne's Blue Flames

The third icon resembles Fire, but it's noticeably different from the standard Fire attribute symbol.

We've actually seen a possible hint in the story already. Lindverne's abilities feature dim blue flames, suggesting Sunbringer may use a special Fire variant, much like Miyabi's Frost compared to regular Ice. Its actual combat mechanics remain unknown.

Armorer: Could Sunbringer Enable Double-Armorer Teams?

The fourth icon confirms Sunbringer's Armorer specialty.

Claret's Additional Ability already supports teams with multiple Armorers. When she or a teammate triggers Maim, all Armorer Agents gain 25% Laceration DMG for 40 seconds. With Sunbringer now confirmed as another Armorer, could this be the start of a new dual-DPS team?

Sunbringer Signature W-Engine (14160): Stats and Effects

Sunbringer's signature W-Engine is currently known by its test ID 14160. This S-Rank Armorer W-Engine provides high base DEF, DEF%, and additional bonuses to Fire and Fire Sharp DMG.

W-Engine Effect (1 Star)

Increases the equipper's CRIT Rate by 20%. When the equipper uses an EX Special Attack, they gain an enhancement effect for 25s. This effect is also granted immediately upon entering combat. Repeated triggers refresh its duration.

While this effect is active, the equipper's Fire DMG increases by 22% and Fire Sharp DMG increases by 10%.

As an Armorer W-Engine, 14160 focuses on DEF scaling and Sharp DMG rather than traditional ATK-based damage. Its immediate combat-entry buff also allows Sunbringer to benefit from the damage bonuses without using an EX Special Attack first.

Note: These values are from the current test build and may change before release. The W-Engine's official name has not yet been confirmed.

Sunbringer's New Drive Disc Sets: 34300 and 34400

Two new Drive Disc sets have appeared in the latest test data. Set 34300 is designed around Sunbringer's DEF scaling and Fire Sharp DMG, while 34400 offers a new support option for Stun Agents, providing teamwide Sharp DMG buffs.

Drive Disc 34300: Sunbringer's Signature Set

  • 2-Piece: DEF +16%.
  • 4-Piece: Increases the equipper's CRIT Rate by 12%. When the equipper deals Fire Sharp DMG, that damage ignores 16% of the target's DEF.

Drive Disc 34400: New Stun Support Set

  • 2-Piece: Energy Regen +20%.
  • 4-Piece: When the equipper's CRIT Rate is at least 50%, their CRIT DMG increases by 30%, and attacks inflict 5% more Daze. When the equipper is a Stun Agent, using an EX Special Attack or Chain Attack increases Sharp DMG dealt by all squad members by 8% for 25s. Repeated triggers refresh the duration. This effect does not stack within the same squad.

Unlike King of the Summit, which provides teamwide CRIT DMG buffs, set 34400 directly boosts Sharp DMG. This could make it a valuable option for Stun Agents supporting Sunbringer or other Sharp DMG-focused teams.

Note: Both Drive Disc names are currently unknown. These effects come from test-build data and may change before release.

Sunbringer Kit and Core Mechanics

Sunbringer's kit revolves around three characters fighting as one: Eldreda, Lindverne, and Dracaene. Instead of behaving like a normal single Agent, she constantly rotates between different on-field actions, coordinated follow-ups, and character-specific routes.

Based on the current test build, Sunbringer deals a new type of Special Fire damage and builds up Marks on enemies. Many of her stronger attacks consume these Marks for extra hits and additional AoE damage, which gives her a very explosive playstyle once her setup is complete.

The descriptions below are written in a player-friendly way rather than as direct line-by-line translations, so they're easier to follow if you're mainly trying to understand how Sunbringer actually plays.

Basic Attacks and On-Field Routing

Sunbringer has separate Normal Attack routes for Lindverne and Eldreda. Both can perform multi-hit strings that deal Special Fire damage, and both have enhanced later hits with stronger interruption resistance and reduced damage taken.

The biggest shared mechanic is Mark consumption. If a heavy hit lands on an enemy that already has Marks, Sunbringer consumes up to 3 stacks, triggers extra bonus hits on the target, and deals additional AoE Special Fire damage around them.

In practice, this means her basic combo routes are not just filler. They are a core part of her damage loop, especially once enemies are already marked. Eldreda also appears to have a stronger committed Normal Attack follow-up that consumes a special resource and serves as a heavier payoff route.

Dodge, Mobility, and Dracaene's Movement Tools

Sunbringer's dodge kit is more elaborate than usual. Lindverne gets a fast standard dodge and follow-up slash, while Dracaene has her own high-mobility movement state that looks much more like a dedicated repositioning tool.

After an Extreme Dodge, both routes gain their own counterattacks, and these counters can lead back into different parts of the Normal Attack chain. This should make Sunbringer feel fluid in actual gameplay, with multiple ways to re-enter her combo rather than always restarting from hit 1.

Dracaene's movement mode especially stands out, because it seems designed for quick repositioning before going back into offense. That gives Sunbringer more mobility than a typical DEF-scaling Agent.

Assist Skills and Team Entry Options

Sunbringer's Assist kit is split across multiple members of the trio. Lindverne and Dracaene both have their own Quick Assist routes, and these can chain naturally back into later parts of the basic combo.

Dracaene also handles the more defensive side of the kit. Her Defensive Assist and Assist Follow-Up build Daze and let Sunbringer stabilize incoming pressure without losing tempo. One of her assist follow-ups also directly applies a Mark stack, which is important because it helps set up the stronger consume-and-burst parts of Sunbringer's kit.

Overall, her assist package looks much more active than a normal Agent's. It is not just about entering safely. It also helps maintain combo flow, build Marks, and keep the rotation moving toward the team's damage window.

Special Skills and the 3-in-1 Combat Loop

Sunbringer's Special Skills are where the 3-in-1 concept really starts to show. She has multiple entry attacks that bring either Lindverne or Eldreda onto the field, followed by Enhanced Special Attacks that call in coordinated attacks from the other Sunbringers.

Several Enhanced Special routes seem to follow the same logic: attack together, keep one specific Sunbringer on field, and consume existing Marks to trigger extra bonus hits plus additional AoE Special Fire damage. Some variants also appear to be upgraded follow-up versions that become available after certain attacks, dodge counters, support attacks, or finishers.

In other words, Sunbringer does not play like three freely independent characters. She plays more like one Agent with several linked combat routes, where each Sunbringer takes the lead at different points in the rotation.

Chain Attacks and Ultimates

Her Chain Attacks continue that same design philosophy. Depending on which route is selected, either Lindverne or Eldreda stays on field after the Chain Attack, while the other joins in for coordinated damage.

Both Chain Attacks appear to interact with Marks, consuming them for extra proc damage and AoE follow-up explosions. This reinforces the idea that Sunbringer's burst windows are strongest once enemies have already been prepared with Mark stacks.

Her finisher-level attacks also seem to differ by route. One version spends a dedicated resource to unleash a heavier coordinated strike, while another removes all current Marks from enemies for a larger payoff. So even at the Chain/Ultimate level, her damage loop is still tightly tied to setup and detonation.

Core Skill: DEF Scaling, Marks, Sharp Damage, and Team Buffs

Sunbringer's Core Skill is the part that explains what makes her different mechanically.

First, her attacks are built around Sharp Damage and scale from DEF, not from a normal ATK-focused formula. Some of this Sharp Damage builds up a hidden value on enemies, and once enough is accumulated, the target gains Marks. These Marks can stack up to 3 times and are then consumed by key attacks for extra burst damage.

Second, her crit interaction is unusual. Sharp Damage does not appear to use normal CRIT DMG in the standard way. Instead, it interacts with the newer Sharp-related damage rules, making CRIT Rate especially important for her build. Based on the current text, excess CRIT investment may also have extra value once her crit threshold is already secured.

Third, Sunbringer has several resource loops built into her Core Skill. She gains resources when Marks are consumed, can recover energy or combat resources under certain conditions, and has ways to re-enter stronger attack routes after meeting those requirements. This is part of what makes her look like a proper rotation-based hypercarry instead of a simple DEF bruiser.

Most importantly for team building, Sunbringer is not only selfish DPS. Her Additional Ability suggests that when the team includes certain roles or another Armorer Agent, she can grant a buff state that improves Sharp-related damage for Armorer teammates. In other words, Sunbringer is not just bringing her own explosive burst. She also appears to support other Armorer Agents in the squad, which could make future double-Armorer teams much more interesting.

To sum it up, Sunbringer looks like a DEF-scaling Special Fire burst carry built around three linked combat routes, Mark setup and consumption, and repeated coordinated attacks between Eldreda, Lindverne, and Dracaene.

What makes her especially exciting is that she does not seem limited to personal damage alone. Beyond her own explosive combo finishers, Sunbringer also appears to provide meaningful support for other Armorer Agents, which could make her a centerpiece for an entirely new team style.

Note: Skill names, exact terminology, and some combat interactions may still change before release. This overview is based on the current test build and focuses on practical gameplay understanding rather than strict literal translation.

ZZZ Sunbringer Release Date, Version 3.4 and Skins

Sunbringer is expected to arrive in ZZZ Version 3.4, around December 2, 2026. The timing fits the recent story developments and her sudden official reveal, although HoYoverse hasn't confirmed her release date yet.

As a Void Hunter, Sunbringer may also receive a 42-day banner lasting the entire version, following the precedent set by Ye Shunguang and Remielle. Nothing is confirmed yet, but it would make sense for such a highly anticipated Agent.

sunbringer skins

There's more to look forward to than just pulling Sunbringer. Leaked outfit models have already shown alternate looks for Eldreda and Dracaene, while Lindverne has also appeared in a different outfit in the story. All three having their own skins seems increasingly likely, though how these outfits will be released remains unknown.

With three Sunbringers, a mysterious blue Fire attribute, and potentially three separate outfits, there's still plenty left to reveal. We'll keep this article updated as HoYoverse shares more about Sunbringer's gameplay, banner schedule, and skins.

Knot of Rebirth: New Boss Leak for ZZZ 3.4

ZZZ 3.4 new boss leak

Judging by the Version 3.3 story, Truviaseems to have gone down a dangerous path with no turning back. Her feelings toward Phaethon are complicated, mixing obsession with memories of the past.

Perhaps she, too, wants to claim the "sun." A recent leak mentions a new enemy called Knot of Rebirth (tentative). It appears to be connected to an Etheric Other. The name also raises the possibility that Truvia is trying to become an artificial Enchainer herself.

Whether this is really what awaits Truvia remains unknown. Still, Sunbringer is unlikely to let her get what she wants without a fight. We will have to see where Version 3.4 takes that story.

She chased the sun, only to end up looking like this... Truvia, did you really have to go that far?

  • Weakness:Fire
  • Resistances:Ice and Wind

ZZZ 3.4 Main Story Leak: Season 3 Chapter 5, "The Finality of the Day" (Tentative)

According to the leaked quest objectives, Season 3 Chapter 5 appears to take place mainly in the devastated Booastrum in Roscaelifer. Phaethon checks in with Billy, Dracaene, and Fairy before heading back to the floating islands.

The party first reunites with Velina, Norma, and the others, then makes its way through Emerald Central Park, the wishing fountain, and CCD Square. Along the way, they use cannons, drones, and aerial transit rails to move between areas while rescuing stranded Bangboo and students.

The latter half takes place inside Scamall Hollow. After speaking with Lindverne and the others, the group follows traces left by Eldreda. Eventually, they reach a place tentatively called "God’s Gate," where encounters with powerful enemies and unidentified characters appear to lead to a reunion with Eldreda.

The story then seems to return to Booastrum, where the group speaks with their companions and bids farewell to Sunbringer. The quest list suggests a return to everyday life, but what has actually been resolved, and what remains unanswered, is still unclear.

Several characters also appear with their names hidden in the quest data. It is too early to tell whether these are new characters or familiar faces whose identities are being concealed.

Scene from the Prophecy anniversary music video

Version 3.3 ends with Eldreda staying behind as the Hive Lord Hollow breaks out of containment, leaving her fate unknown. But there may be a detail we overlooked in the second-anniversary theme song MV "Prophecy". True to its name, the video may already have hinted at what comes next.

Remember the shot where Eldreda appears to hold a tiny Hollow in the palm of her hand? It looks remarkably like a compressed Hive Lord Hollow. If this is not just a scene from the past, but a clue to what comes next...

ZZZ 3.4 Honkai: Star Rail Collab: Leaked Story Locations

Leaked location names also point to a four-act story for the Honkai: Star Rail crossover. It looks set to take players from familiar corners of New Eridu all the way to the Roscaelifer setting of Season 3.

  • Act I:Blazewood
  • Act II:Booastrum
  • Act III:Failume Heights
  • Act IV:Ballet Twins Road

These locations are based on current leaks. The characters and specific plot details for each act have not been confirmed. We will update this section when more official crossover information is released.

Conclusion

The October 24 livestream should finally give us more concrete answers, including Sunbringer's first gameplay showcase and details about the ZZZ 3.4 collab banners. We'll update this article as soon as the new information is confirmed.

But that leaves us with one more question. If Version 3.4 is already packed with Sunbringer and the Honkai: Star Rail crossover, where is Storyteller?

Sunbringer FAQ

Is Sunbringer One Agent or Three Separate Pulls?

Sunbringer's latest Agent Record confirms the 3-in-1 concept, bringing Eldreda, Dracaene, and Lindverne together as one Agent. We expect all three to come from a single banner pull, rather than three separate banners.

Can You Switch Between Eldreda, Dracaene, and Lindverne?

Not confirmed yet. The three might have switchable forms, or Eldreda could be the main fighter while Dracaene and Lindverne assist through special attacks. We should know more once HoYoverse reveals her gameplay.

Is Sunbringer's Blue Fire a New Attribute?

It appears to be a special Fire variant, similar to Miyabi's Frost. Lindverne's blue flames and Sunbringer's unusual attribute icon support this theory, but its official name and combat mechanics remain unknown.

Will Sunbringer Be Released in ZZZ 3.4?

I expect Sunbringer to arrive in Version 3.4, around December 2, 2026. Her recent reveal and the 3.3 story ending make that timing likely, but HoYoverse hasn't officially confirmed her banner date.

Will All Three Sunbringers Have Separate Skins?

It's looking likely! We've already seen alternate outfits for Eldreda and Dracaene in leaked models, while Lindverne has another look in the story. Whether these become separate purchasable skins or a bundled set is still unknown.

Should I Skip Phoenix and Save for Sunbringer?

I'd consider Phoenix if you're already running Remielle and Velina and want to improve that team. Otherwise, saving for Sunbringer is a reasonable choice, especially with Version 3.4 approaching. Her actual strength is still unknown.
