Arknights: Endfield Weapon Tier Definitions
SS-Tier: The core of the current meta. Signature weapon + Dedicated character = Absolute domination. Completely irreplaceable.
S-Tier: Highly versatile top picks, or the best high-value alternatives to signature weapons. Realistically, these are the optimal choices for the vast majority of players.
A-Tier: Top-tier for specific niches, or excellent "jack-of-all-trades" transitional weapons. Definitely worth your investment.
B-Tier: Viable for the mid-game, but you should look to upgrade from these as soon as possible.
C-Tier: Purely filler weapons. Replace these as your highest priority.
📢Note: Endfield's weapon system is more character-locked than most gacha games. A 6-star weapon built around Heat reactions will do almost nothing useful on a Physical operator. Keep that in mind before spending Arsenal Tickets on anything.

Sword Tier List
Swords are the most common weapon type in the current roster, and they also include some of the strongest DPS in the game.
If you're building around Laevatain, Endministrator, Da Pan, Wulfgard, Pogranichnik, Chen Qianyu, Arclight, Rossi, or Alesh, this is where most of your Arsenal Tickets will go.

In multi-wave content, a well-equipped Polearm operator can hold status effects on the whole field while dealing consistent Arts or Physical damage.

Arts Units do not damage weapons. If you approach them with a DPS mindset, you will pick the wrong weapon every time. The value of an Arts Unit weapon comes from how much it amplifies the team through Debuffs, healing efficiency, and skill uptime.

Best Weapons by Content Type: What Should You Use?
When players are actually building teams, what they really want to know is which weapon makes the most sense in a specific situation—whether that means clearing Umbral Monument Floor 6, speeding up daily resource farming, or making tougher content feel more consistent.
The tables below are designed to answer that question directly by highlighting the most useful choices for different types of content.
| Content Type | Recommended Weapons | Operators | Why | |||
| Story stages — multi-wave | Thermite Cutter | JET | — | Laevatain | Avywenna | Unconditional ATK buffs and consistent Arts DMG uptime clear waves efficiently without needing specific setups |
| Single-target boss fights | Forgeborn Scathe | Khravengger | Artzy Tyrannical | Laevatain | Yvonne | High burst ceilings during focused windows — all three peak on single targets with sustained buff uptime |
| Umbral Monument high floors | Brigand's Calling | Mountain Bearer | Delivery Guaranteed | Tangtang | Gilberta | Stagger pressure from Greatswords, Arts Susceptibility debuffs from Tangtang, and team Arts DMG buffs from Gilberta combine to handle the high-HP enemies in later floors |
| Resource farming (speed runs) | Thermite Cutter | Umbral Torch | Wedge | Any main DPS | Zero-condition triggers, no rotation dependency — fastest consistent clear speed without thinking about buff windows | |
| Survival content / tanky fights | Never Rest | Thunderberge | Former Finery | Pogranichnik | Ember | SP generation for healing cycles, shield application, and HP restoration reduce the pressure on dedicated healers |
| Arts reaction teams | Detonation Unit | Clannibal | Opus: Etch Figure | Gilberta | Ardelia | Arts DMG taken debuffs stack with each other when applied by different sources — layering these across the team produces the highest damage output in Arts compositions |

Best Weapons for Each Element Team
Different Endfield teams have different weapon priorities depending on which elements they are built around.
| Slot | Main DPS | Sub DPS | Support | |
| Character | Laevatain | Wulfgard | Ardelia | |
| Best Weapon Pairing | Forgeborn Scathe | Umbral Torch | Clannibal | Dreams of the Starry Beach |
| Team Effect | Forgeborn Scathe is the ceiling. Umbral Torch from the Protocol Pass is the realistic best-in-slot for most players. Thermite Cutter is the fallback for anyone without either. | |||
| Slot | Main DPS 1 | Main DPS 2 | Sub DPS | Tank / Sustain |
| Character | Last Rite | Yvonne | Tangtang | Snowshine |
| Best Weapon Pairing | Khravengger | Artzy Tyrannical | Brigand's Calling | Former Finery |
| Team Effect | The Cryo weapon pool is the deepest in the game right now. Artzy Tyrannical on Yvonne, Brigand's Calling on Tangtang, and Khravengger on Last Rite cover all three Cryo DPS roles. Snowshine runs Former Finery for sustain. Navigator from the Protocol Pass is a strong supporting pick for Cryo/Nature crossover builds. | |||
| Slot | Main DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
| Character | Avywenna | Estella | Ardelia |
| Best Weapon Pairing | JET | Cohesive Traction | Dreams of the Starry Beach |
| Team Effect | JET from the free selector is the obvious first pick. Cohesive Traction from the 5-star Standard pool adds further Electric Combo chain value. The Electric team weapon pool is not as deep as Cryo or Heat, but the free-to-obtain nature of JET significantly lowers the barrier to entry. | ||
| Slot | Main DPS | Sub DPS | Vanguard |
| Character | Lifeng | Endministrator | Pogranichnik |
| Best Weapon Pairing | Mountain Bearer | Grand Vision | Never Rest |
| Team Effect | Mountain Bearer for Lifeng is the priority limited pull. Never Rest and Grand Vision cover the supporting physical roles from the Standard pool. Valiant from the free selector provides additional Physical Status pressure. | ||
| Slot | Main DPS | Sub DPS | Support | |
| Character | Ardelia | Gilberta | Any Arts Unit | |
| Best Weapon Pairing | Dreams of the Starry Beach | Opus: Etch Figure | Delivery Guaranteed | Detonation Unit |
| Team Effect | Dreams of the Starry Beach for Ardelia is free — there is no reason not to use it. Delivery Guaranteed for Gilberta is the single highest-impact Arts team investment in the game. Opus: Etch Figure from the Protocol Pass covers Ardelia for players who already have the Day 10 weapon and need something for their Protocol Pass. | |||
Free Weapon Selector Complete Guide
The game also gives players access to a free featured weapon selection system, allowing you to choose the weapon you want directly instead of relying entirely on weapon banner pulls. In addition, pulling on character banners also grants extra currency that can be used for weapon pulls.
If you want to know which characters are worth pulling, you can check out our Arknights: Endfield Banners pull recommendation guide. Every time you obtain a 6-star Operator, you receive 2,000 weapon selector tickets, which is enough for one full 10-pull on the weapon banner.
On top of that, we've also put together a list of Arknights redeem codes that can be used to claim more free rewards, such as T-Cred, Oroberyl, Weapon Inspection Devices, and more — all of which can later be used for weapon pulls.
Here are 3 ways to get free weapons:
1️⃣New Horizons Weapon Supply (Beginner Selector)
By completing the New Horizons beginner banner progression, you will receive a weapon selection ticket.
The pool includes: JET, Valiant, Wedge, Thermite Cutter, White Night Nova, and other non-limited 6-star options.
| ![]() Valiant | ![]() Wedge | ![]() Thermite Cutter |
| and other non-limited 6-star options… |
Important: Dreams of the Starry Beach — Ardelia's signature weapon — is not in this selector. It is given separately as a free Day 10 login reward. Do not waste your selector pick hoping it will appear here.
2️⃣Lv. 45 Weapon Box
How to get it: Reach player level 45. This happens naturally through normal progression.
What it offers: A weapon selector that spans all types, allowing you to fill whichever slot in your roster is currently the weakest.
How to approach it:
This selector is designed as a gap-filler, not an upgrade tool. Before opening it, look at your current roster and identify the operator with the worst weapon equipped. That is the slot to fill.
- List your main team: primary DPS, support/healer, tank, or sub-DPS.
- Check what weapon each operator currently has equipped.
- Identify the widest gap between their current weapon and the best available option in their weapon type.
- Open the selector and fill that gap.
Do not open this selector immediately on reaching level 45. If you are already saving Arsenal Tickets toward a specific weapon for your weakest operator, wait until that banner has passed before deciding. The selector cannot be taken back once opened.
If your roster is already reasonably well-equipped, hold the box until Ver. 1.2 to see what new operators are added and whether a new weapon need emerges.
3️⃣Protocol Pass Weapon Supply
How to get it: Purchase the Protocol Pass (paid season pass). This selector is included in the pass.
The pool contains three options: Umbral Torch, Opus: Etch Figure, and Navigator.
The most important rule for this selector: you can hold the weapon box without opening it. If you purchase the Protocol Pass but are not sure which pick applies to your roster, leave it in your inventory and wait until you have a clearer picture of your team. The box stores safely until you are ready.
Final Thoughts
Arknights: Endfield moves fast. New operators, new weapon banners, and balance patches can shift the meta in ways that make last month's investments look outdated. Staying ahead of that curve is what separates players who clear Umbral Monument efficiently from those who waste Arsenal Tickets on the wrong weapons.
Whether you are chasing a signature weapon for your main carry or building out a reliable F2P roster with free selectors and Protocol Pass picks, understanding the weapon ecosystem gives you a real edge every single patch.
If you want to stay current on other gacha meta rankings — like the latest Nikke tier list or the current Genshin Impact tier list — GamsGo has you covered.
We pair regularly updated game guides with fast, safe, and affordable top-up options. Be ready for every new banner and version update across all your favorite titles — follow GamsGo and play smarter every season.
Good luck out there, and may your Arsenal Tickets always hit the rate-up weapon.

FAQ
What is the best weapon in Arknights: Endfield right now?
It depends on which operators you own. Forgeborn Scathe on Laevatain, Brigand's Calling on Tangtang, and Delivery Guaranteed on Gilberta are all SS tier on their intended operators. "Best weapon" without context is meaningless — the right question is "best weapon for my roster."
Is the Protocol Pass worth buying for the weapon?
If you own Laevatain and do not have her signature weapon, yes — Umbral Torch alone justifies the Protocol Pass for most players. At ~78–89% of signature performance, the value per dollar is strong. If you do not own any of the three operators the Pass weapons are designed for, the weapon value decreases substantially.
What should F2P players focus on first?
In order of priority — claim Dreams of the Starry Beach from the Day 10 login (free), pick JET or Thermite Cutter from the New Horizons selector based on your roster, then spend Standard Banner Arsenal Tickets on Thermite Cutter or Never Rest depending on your main DPS. You do not need limited weapons to clear all current content.
What changed in Ver. 1.1 for weapons?
The Handcannon pool expanded significantly with Brigand's Calling (Tangtang), Artzy Tyrannical (Yvonne rerun), and Home Longing entering the Dark Currents Standard pool. Glorious Memory for Rossi also became available through the Dark Currents banner. The biggest shift is in Arts team construction — Brigand's Calling's Arts Susceptibility debuff enables Cryo-Arts hybrid compositions that did not exist before.
