Genshin Impact Version 7.0 Map: What's New in Snezhnaya
Version 7.0, Everwinter Without Mercy, launched on August 12, 2026, opening Snezhnaya—the final main-story nation in Teyvat—for exploration for the first time.
The initial release includes five subregions: Volkodlak Tundra, White Birch Snowgrave, Everfrozen Earth, Flamefeather Valley, and Fellfrost Peak.
After completing the Archon Quest Song of the Dragon and Freedom, the Teleport Waypoint to Snezhnaya unlocks automatically—no additional steps are required. Snezhnaya is part of Teyvat's main map, so you can view it directly on the official interactive map above rather than switching to a separate map.

Special & Separate Maps
Not every explorable location appears on the surface map. Areas such as underground ruins, underwater ruins, and aerial ruins usually require you to switch to their dedicated map tab on the official interactive map, rather than appearing alongside the main overworld.

Beyond these five large standalone maps, Sumeru, Fontaine, Natlan, Nod-Krai, and Snezhnaya also contain many smaller caves and hidden passages underground. They are individually small and numerous, so they do not have separate navigation entries and are not covered one by one here. How to Explore the Map Faster
Trying to clear a new region completely the moment you arrive is usually the slowest approach. Follow a simple order instead. First, activate Statues of The Seven and Teleport Waypoints, so you can return directly when it is time to collect items. Next, prioritize Archon Quests and major questlines. Many hidden areas, waypoints, and underground entrances are locked behind quests, so you will not find them just by wandering around. Once those two steps are done, return for Oculi, Domains, puzzles, and chests—it is much more efficient.
In large regions such as Sumeru, Nod-Krai, and Snezhnaya, fully clear one section before moving to the next. Jumping between areas makes it easy to forget what you have already collected and what you still need. Is the Genshin Impact Map Finished Yet?
Not yet. Although Snezhnaya is Teyvat's final main-story nation, Version 7.0 only opened its first five areas. Version 7.1, launching on September 23, continues the Snezhnaya storyline with its conflict against Ronova, the Ruler of Death, which makes it clear that Snezhnaya's story is far from over.
