Short answer: if you're building a Remielle Anomaly team, securing Velina at M0 should be your top priority. The third slot, Phoenix included, can be swapped around based on your roster and enemy weaknesses, but very few Agents can keep the Windswept, Vortex, and Refringe cycle running as reliably as Velina.

Lock in Velina first to complete the core of the team, then prioritize Remielle herself and her signature W-Engine.

Velina is currently rerunning in ZZZ 3.3. If you want to pull for less, check out GamsGo and top up ZZZ. You can buy Polychrome for up to 25% off, which makes it a great option if you're trying to complete your Remielle team.

Is Velina Good in ZZZ? Should You Pull Her Rerun?

Maybe you started ZZZ during the anniversary version and built Remielle, only to find that your Energy doesn't keep up and your rotations never quite click. Gear and gameplay can play a part, but one of the biggest reasons is missing Velina, the other core piece of the team.

As the first Wind Anomaly Agent, released late in Season 2, she arrived with a brand-new attribute and system, and many players held off on investing. But as her real-combat performance became clear, so did how important she is to Remielle teams.

If you've been thinking "I should've pulled her back then," the Version 3.3 rerun is your long-awaited second chance. So how much of Velina should you aim for based on your roster and pull budget? Let's break it down.

Low

If you have even more pulls to spare, we strongly recommend putting them into your other teammates' Mindscapes instead of Velina's. Both Remielle's M1 and Phoenix's M1 are well worth going for. With M1 Remielle + her signature W-Engine in particular, you can chain three Luminizes right at the start of combat even at a typical investment level, clearing most Drive Disc farming stages almost instantly. It makes a huge difference to your daily farming speed and comfort.

Honestly, I didn't realize how good opening with three Luminizes felt until I got Remielle's M1. Drive Disc farming became so much easier that it's one of the most satisfying Mindscapes I've pulled. If you already have her M1, have you tried using her this way?

Velina's Best W-Engines and How Much She Needs Her Signature

Short answer: Velina relies heavily on her signature, and Joyau Dore should be your next priority right after M0 Velina. The main reason is that it covers both Energy Regen and Anomaly damage. She works without it, but you'll notice a real difference in how often you can cycle Windswept and how smooth she feels in combat.

How Important Is Her Signature W-Engine, Joyau Dore?

Joyau Dore

Joyau Dore Base ATK: 713  Advanced Stat: Energy Regen 60%

Boosts Energy Regen through its Advanced Stat, increases Vortex and Windswept DMG, and raises Anomaly Proficiency for both Velina and the entire squad

Its value goes beyond raw damage. Because it keeps her Energy topped up while building Windswept, you can move into the next rotation without padding it out with extra Basic Attacks. That's why M0 + signature is the recommended investment line for Velina.

3 Best F2P W-Engine Alternatives

If you can't get her signature, these three are your best alternatives. They all work, but none of them match Joyau Dore, which covers both Energy Regen and damage support.

Weeping Gemini

Boisterous Echoes

Fusion Compiler

Fusion Compiler

These can make up for Anomaly Proficiency and damage, but not for the Energy Regen her signature provides. In Remielle teams especially, slower Windswept buildup from Velina tends to throw off your Vortex timing, which affects not just damage but how smooth your rotation feels.

I compared Velina with and without her signature in a Remielle + Velina + Burnice team.

With R5 Weeping Gemini, I scored 34,948 in Deadly Assault, and with her signature Joyau Dore, 39,155, roughly a 12% increase. Since Deadly Assault scoring changes with the enemy's remaining HP, I estimate the actual damage gap at around 16–18%. Keep in mind this is an estimate based on the score difference and how scoring is calculated.

Velina M1 and M2 Effects: How Many Mindscapes Should You Get?

Velina rerun

If your goal is purely to raise the whole team's damage, I'd personally recommend prioritizing M2 Remielle + her signature, then looking at other DPS Mindscapes. Velina already plays very smoothly at M0 with her signature, so there's no need to force her Mindscapes.

That said, if you still want to power her up, or she's your favorite, here's what her Mindscapes do and where to stop.

M1 "Orderly Elegance" | Stronger Daze and RES Ignore

At M1, Sweeping Cyclone's Daze increases by another 20%. On top of that, Vortex triggered by Velina ignores 20% of the enemy's All-Attribute RES, and Windswept DMG dealt by the whole team ignores 20% of the enemy's Wind RES.

The biggest benefit is that it makes three Stuns much easier to reach in Deadly Assault. The RES ignore adds damage too, but team DPS in Remielle teams only goes up by about 8%. The real value of M1 is making extra Stuns easier, more than the raw damage.

M2 "Saturation Project" | Faster Sweeping Cyclones and Extra Anomaly Buildup

At M2, Velina also gains 1 point of Windbite when she triggers Windswept herself, so she summons Sweeping Cyclones more often.

Chromatic-Tinted Sweeping Cyclones can also build up Anomaly for the attribute they're tinted with, not just Wind. That buildup doesn't count toward Attribute Anomaly DMG calculation, so the Anomaly DMG still scales off your teammate DPS's stats, which is a big plus.

On top of that, Velina's Windswept and Vortex DMG increases by 15%. In Remielle teams, going from M0 to M2 raises team DPS by about 15%, making M2 an excellent place to stop.

Should You Go Past M3? Is M6 Worth It?

The gains after M2 are relatively small. Even going all the way to M6, the extra team DPS over M2 is about 15% in Remielle teams.

Given how many pulls that takes, we don't recommend chasing M6 for performance. Velina plays comfortably at M0 with her signature, and M2 is the sweet spot if you want more.

Velina's Best Drive Discs and Target Stats

The top priority when building Velina is reaching 2.88 Energy Regen. That's the point where her Core Passive's DMG and Anomaly Mastery bonuses fully cap, so aim for it first. After that, build Anomaly Proficiency and ATK.

Why Velina Needs 2.88 Energy Regen

Velina's Core Passive raises her DMG and Anomaly Mastery the higher her initial Energy Regen is, and at 2.88 it reaches the cap of +35% DMG and +84 Anomaly Mastery. Combining her signature Joyau Dore with an Energy Regen Disc 6 and an Energy Regen 2-piece gets you to this breakpoint.

Without her signature, using a W-Engine with no Energy Regen caps you at 2.16 even with the same Disc setup. That won't max her Core Passive, but she's still perfectly usable. Farm ATK and Anomaly Proficiency through substats, and aim first for a point where her rotation feels consistent.

Velina's Best Anomaly Teams and Team Comps

Velina's Anomaly teams are built around Remielle + Velina, with the third slot filled by whatever Anomaly Agent you have. You don't need one specific Agent, and being able to use characters you've already built is this team's biggest strength.

For the third slot, it's fine to start with whichever Anomaly Agent you've already built. Agents like Burnice, who deal damage from off-field, also make it easier to give Remielle more field time. In content like Deadly Assault, swap them out to match enemy weaknesses or required attributes.

How to Play Velina: Rotation and Skill Order

Velina is surprisingly simple to play. The basic idea is: swap her in when her Energy is ready, build Windbloom, summon a Sweeping Cyclone, then swap back to your main DPS. She doesn't need to stay on-field for long. Let her keep Vortex going from off-field and give your Anomaly DPS, like Remielle, the field time.

Basic Rotation and When to Swap

She enters combat with 45 Windbloom, so one EX Special Attack is enough for a Sweeping Cyclone at the start. From the second rotation on, check how much Windbloom you have left and top it up with EX Special Attacks as needed.

  1. Open with one EX Special Attack: Use Wind Shear - Purifying Rise to gain 45 Windbloom, bringing you to 90 total.
  2. Hold to summon a Sweeping Cyclone: Hold Basic Attack or Special Attack to activate Wind Shear - Eye of the Storm.
  3. Swap out with Quick Assist: Once the Sweeping Cyclone is out, use Quick Assist to bring in your Anomaly DPS, such as Remielle.
  4. Attack with your Anomaly DPS: Apply a different Attribute Anomaly to enemies affected by Windswept to set up Vortex.
  5. Swap her back in when needed: Bring Velina back once her Energy has recovered and you want to refresh the Sweeping Cyclone or Windswept.

From the second rotation on, if you're at 0 Windbloom, two EX Special Attacks get you to 90. In that case, you'll need 90 Energy. The second one becomes Wind Shear - Triple Deathblow, but you don't have to use two every time. Any leftover Windbloom cuts down how many inputs you need.

In practice, just focusing on swapping out right after the Sweeping Cyclone is out is enough. Keep Velina's field time short and give your main DPS more time to attack.

Tips for Keeping Sweeping Cyclone and Vortex Going

Velina has two ways to get a Sweeping Cyclone: spend 90 Windbloom to summon one herself, or trigger Vortex repeatedly to summon one through Windbite.

Triggering Vortex grants Windbite and creates a Condensed Cyclone. If you trigger another Vortex while holding 2 Windbite, those 2 points are consumed to summon a Sweeping Cyclone. Thanks to this, she can produce Sweeping Cyclones even from off-field.

However, only one Sweeping Cyclone can exist on the field at a time. If one is already attacking, there's no need to force another. Prioritize Remielle's rotation and refresh it when the current one is about to run out.

Windswept also lasts 30s, so you don't need to bring Velina back every time. Swap based on the enemy's Windswept status, the Sweeping Cyclone's remaining time, and your Energy.

When to Use Her Ultimate, "Heed the Tempest"

As a rule, use her Ultimate while the enemy is Windswept. If her Additional Ability is active, the heavy attack from her Ultimate triggers Abloom, dealing extra Wind Attribute Anomaly DMG.

Because of that, you don't need to save her Ultimate for right before a Stun. Check for Windswept first, then use it when it won't get in the way of Remielle's key damage windows.

Once you're comfortable with her, you can also go straight into her Ultimate right after summoning a Sweeping Cyclone. This cuts the Eye of the Storm animation short, and you can swap out with Quick Assist right after the Ultimate.

The Sweeping Cyclone → Ultimate → Quick Assist sequence is handy to remember, but you don't need to go for it every time. Don't fire off her Ultimate just because it's ready; prioritize Windswept status and your main DPS's attack timing.

Leveling from 1 to 60 takes 900,000 EXP in total. That's equal to 300 Senior Investigator Logs, and you can also mix in lower-tier EXP materials. The Denny total does not include W-Engine or Drive Disc upgrade costs.

If you're short on materials, prioritize Promotion and Core Skill upgrades first. Level her regular skills based on how often you use them; there's no need to max everything to Lv. 12 right away.

Final Thoughts

Velina is an excellent Anomaly Agent who provides both Anomaly buildup and damage support through Vortex. She pairs especially well with Remielle, and her Sweeping Cyclones keep the whole team's rotation stable. The Version 3.3 rerun is the perfect chance to complete your Remielle team.

Velina herself is a very high pull priority, but Remielle's signature W-Engine matters a lot too. For a comfortable setup, start by aiming for M0 Remielle + her signature and M0 Velina.Add any Anomaly Agent you own in the third slot, and you'll have a team that's more than ready for real content.

Velina FAQ

When Is Velina's Rerun in ZZZ 3.3?

Velina reruns in the Version 3.3 Phase I banner, running from after the October 21, 2026 update until November 11, 2026 (server time), alongside the debut of Phoenix.

Is Velina Worth Pulling Without Remielle?

Yes, if you already have other Anomaly Agents. She still gives any Anomaly team off-field Windswept and Vortex, so M0 Velina is worth getting to strengthen the team you have. If your Anomaly team is already complete and you're low on pulls, you can skip her.

Does Velina Work With Miyabi, Yanagi, or Alice?

Miyabi is a poor match.  Yanagi and Alice are different: in teams with Remielle, both work as solid third-slot Anomaly teammates alongside Velina.

Should You Pull Joyau Dore or M1 First?

Joyau Dore first. Its Energy Regen Advanced Stat is what lets Velina reach her Core Passive cap, and the gap without it is noticeable in both damage and rotation smoothness. Lock in M0 + signature before going for M1.

How Much Energy Regen Does Velina Need?

Aim for 2.88, where her Core Passive caps at +35% DMG and +84 Anomaly Mastery. Joyau Dore, an Energy Regen Disc 6, and a Moonlight Lullaby or Swing Jazz 2-piece get you there exactly. Without her signature, you'll top out at 2.16, which is still usable.

Which Velina Mindscapes Are Worth Getting?

M0 is already strong. If you want more, M2 is the best place to stop, raising team DPS by about 15% in Remielle teams. M1 mainly makes three Stuns easier in Deadly Assault, and going past M2 isn't worth the pulls for performance.

What Is the Best Bangboo for Velina?

Switch it up based on your teammates' attributes and factions:

  • With Remielle: The S-Rank Bangboo Ariel, which makes the most of faction and team synergy, is the top pick.
  • With Fire Agents (Phoenix or Burnice): The S-Rank Bangboo Ultra Jake, which efficiently supports Fire Anomaly buildup, is the best fit.
