Yes, you can get free diamonds on imo, and you don't need a hack or a code to do it. imo gives free diamonds through its own Free Diamonds page, where you watch short video ads and view your friends' stories. If you searched for "imo free gems", you're in the right place: gems isn't an imo term, and the in-app currency people mean is diamonds.
The catch is that each reward is small. The free diamonds you collect cover a small gift now and then, but they won't keep up with regular gifting in Voice Club rooms.
This guide covers where the Free Diamonds page is now and every legit way to earn diamonds. It also explains what to do when a reward doesn't show up, and how to get more diamonds for less when the free ones run out.
Free tasks pay a few diamonds at a time. If you're short for a gift, a direct top-up is faster. GamsGo's imo diamond top up only needs your imo ID. You never share your password, and packs range from 10 to 21,000 diamonds.
Where to Find Free Diamonds on imo
Many older guides send you to Profile > imo Wallet. imo's Help Center gives a different path, which we checked on November 6, 2026: tap your profile picture → imo Voice → My Diamonds → Free Diamonds. The Help Center lists two tasks on that page:
| Official task | How to complete it | Don't miss this |
|---|---|---|
| Watch video ads | Tap Watch and stay on the ad. When the "Reward in X seconds" timer disappears, tap X to collect. | If you close the ad before the timer ends, you get nothing. This is the most common reason a reward goes missing. |
| View 4 stories | Tap Watch, view 4 of your friends' stories, then tap Get it now. | You need friends who have posted stories. With an empty contact list, this task can't be finished. |
Every Other Legit Way to Get Free imo Diamonds
Besides the two official tasks, a few other rewards show up for some users. imo changes its task list by app version and region, so treat the ones below as possible rather than guaranteed.
| Method | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Extra tasks (invites, spin wheel, check-ins) | When they're available, they sit on the same Free Diamonds page. Invite rewards usually require your friend to join and verify. | Anyone. Check the page daily, because new tasks appear without notice. |
| Voice Club events | Limited-time activities in imo Voice sometimes include diamond prizes for taking part or ranking. | Regular room users who already spend time in Voice Club. |
| Receiving gifts | Gifts you receive turn into beans. Depending on your app version, the wallet may let you exchange beans for diamonds. | Room hosts and active speakers with an audience. |
What about free imo diamond codes? imo's Help Center describes free diamonds only as tasks, and it doesn't publish a public list of codes. A code list with no source or date is almost certainly expired or fake. If imo runs a code promotion, it will come from imo's own event pages or official social accounts.
How Many Free Diamonds Can You Really Earn
imo doesn't publish fixed reward rates. Third-party guides often say 5–10 diamonds per ad, but the amount you see on the task button is what counts, and ad availability changes from day to day. Spending a few minutes a day adds up to enough for an occasional small gift.
That math changes if you send gifts in rooms every week, want animated premium gifts, or are supporting a host during an event. Daily tasks can't keep up with that, so mixing free diamonds with an occasional small top-up is the realistic plan.
How to Top up Imo Diamonds for Less
When free diamonds aren't enough, compare prices before buying in the app. On GamsGo you can top up diamond imo packs from 10 to 21,000 diamonds. Each pack shows its discounted price in your local currency. Several sellers list each pack, and you can compare them by delivery time and rating; some deliver in under a minute.
| Step | What to do | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Copy your imo ID | Find the numeric ID (usually 7–10 digits) on your imo Voice profile. | A wrong ID can't be refunded, so paste it instead of typing it. |
| 2. Pick a pack and a seller | Choose the diamond amount, then a seller based on delivery time and rating. | Larger packs usually cost less per diamond. |
| 3. Pay and check your balance | Pay with PayPal, card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a supported local wallet, then open My Diamonds. | You're never asked for your imo password or a login. |
Free Diamonds Not Showing Up? Quick Fixes
Most missing rewards come down to one of the five cases below. Find yours before contacting support.
| Problem | Likely cause | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| No Free Diamonds option | You're using an old app version, or the feature isn't offered in your region | Update imo, then look under imo Voice → My Diamonds instead of the old wallet path |
| Watched an ad but got nothing | You closed the ad before the timer finished | Wait until "Reward in X seconds" disappears, then tap X |
| Ads won't load | No ads are available right now, your connection is weak, or an ad blocker is on | Switch networks, turn off private DNS or ad blockers, and try again later |
| Diamond or bean balance frozen | imo flagged unusual account activity | Contact imo through in-app Feedback; the Help Center has a dedicated article on frozen balances |
| Paid but diamonds didn't arrive | Payment is delayed, or the order went to the wrong ID | Keep your receipt and contact the seller or imo support with your order details |
Free Imo Diamond Generators and Mods: What to Avoid
"Unlimited free imo diamonds" tools don't work, because imo stores your balance on its own servers. What these tools actually do is collect your login, push you through survey pages, or get you to install a modded APK that may carry malware. Using them can also get your account banned, and you'd lose your chats and contacts along with it.
One rule catches nearly every scam: a real top-up only needs your imo ID. Anyone who asks for your password or a verification code, or tells you to install a "special" imo version, is after your account, not offering diamonds.
Free Tasks or Top-Up: Which One Fits You?
If you send a gift once in a while, the daily ad and story tasks are all you need. They're free and they take a few minutes. If you gift in rooms every week or support hosts during events, keep doing the free tasks and fill the gap with a small top-up rather than paying the full in-app price.

FAQ
Are imo Gems and imo Diamonds the Same Thing?
Yes. imo's in-app currency is officially called diamonds, and "gems" is just a nickname many players use when searching. You'll also see beans in your wallet. Beans come from gifts other users send you in Voice Club rooms, so imo tracks them separately from diamonds.
Can You Get Unlimited Free Diamonds on imo?
No. Free Diamonds tasks have daily limits, and ad availability changes from day to day, so free earnings stay small. imo keeps your balance on its own servers, so a generator or "unlimited diamonds" site can't add anything. Most of them are really after your login.
Why Can't I See Free Diamonds in My imo App?
The task page depends on your app version and region. Update imo, then follow the path in imo's Help Center: profile picture → imo Voice → My Diamonds → Free Diamonds (checked November 6, 2026). If it's still missing, the feature isn't on your account yet.
Can You Turn Beans Into Diamonds on imo?
In some app versions, yes. The wallet shows an exchange option for beans you've received as gifts. imo sets whether it's available and at what rate, and both vary by region. Check the exchange screen in your own wallet rather than trusting rates quoted on other websites.
How Much Cheaper Is GamsGo Than Buying Diamonds in imo?
In our November 6, 2026 check of Korean prices, GamsGo's 210 to 8,400 diamond packs cost about 28–38% less than the same packs in the App Store. Prices vary by region, platform and seller, so compare the final checkout price with your in-app price before you pay.
Is It Safe to Top Up imo Diamonds on a Third-Party Site?
It is when the site only asks for your numeric imo ID, as GamsGo does. Never share your password or a verification code, and avoid sellers that want you to log in through their page. Paste your ID rather than typing it, since diamonds sent to a wrong ID can't be refunded.
