Appraisers, still deciding whether to pull for Akane Rin in NTE 1.4? You might want to save some Annulith for Exe, the mysterious E.T.D. 6 captain rumored to arrive in Version 1.5 Phase 2 around December 2, 2026.

So, is Exe worth skipping a banner for? Let's break down his expected release date, leaked skills, Awakenings, potential teams, and pull value to see what he might bring to your squad.

Still recovering from the current banners? Keep an eye on your Solid Dice and Annulith before committing. If you want an extra resource buffer, you can top up NTE through  GamsGo  before Exe's expected banner.

Exe's official character reveal establishes his identity; the detailed clone counts, timing, buffs and Awakenings below are STC (subject to change) leaks attributed to tomatonews, not a published final skill sheet.

NTE Exe Character Overview

Before we start building a nine-clone army in our heads, here is what we know about Exe so far. His character reveal and Japanese voice actor are official; the rumored banner timing, combat role and kit details are still subject to change.

Voice cast status: Exe's Japanese VA, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (松岡禎丞), was named by the official Japanese NTE account on October 5, 2026. The official Korean NTE channel also introduced Exe that day, but did not credit a Korean VA. English and Korean voice actors have not been officially named.

NTE Exe Release Date and Version 1.5 Banner Predictions

Exe is currently expected around December 2, 2026, in the second half of NTE Version 1.5. That date follows the recent three-week Limited Board rhythm and the projected November 11 update. The official reveal itself did not announce Exe's playable release date, so treat December 2 as a planning target rather than a confirmed appointment.

Version 1.5 Phase 1November 11 – December 2Elyms expected; order unconfirmed

If you're saving for both characters, use our NTE banner tracker to follow the wider schedule, then check the 1.5 banner leak roundup for Elyms' side of the story. And remember: holding onto your Limited Board resources beats panic-pulling a character whose final kit hasn't been shown.

Who Is Exe in Neverness to Everness?

Exe is the captain of E.T.D. 6, a specialized unit within Hethereau's Bureau of Anomaly Control. Unlike the Appraiser and the crew at Eibon Antique Shop, who often stumble into unusual commissions, Exe represents the city's official response to dangerous anomalies. As the leader of the sixth squad, he's expected to bring a more serious side of the Bureau into focus.

His character design makes quite an impression. With long dark hair, pointed ears, a white coat, and a massive mechanical claw, Exe looks more like a mysterious cybernetic experiment than your average Bureau officer. His official introduction is just as unusual: even a simple greeting sounds like a computer processing a command. For someone literally named Exe, that's pretty fitting.

Neverness to Everness EXE

Exe's Past and His Connection to E.T.D. 6

Exe leads a squad that already includes some familiar faces. Elyms serves as his vice-captain, while Linko is another member of E.T.D. 6. With Linko's playful personality and Xiaozhen's supernatural antics, it's hard not to wonder how their seemingly serious captain manages the team on a daily basis.

However, Exe's personal history remains largely unexplored. Some early character reports suggest he may be pursuing dangerous Espers because of a past tragedy involving someone close to him. That backstory has not been officially confirmed, but it raises an interesting possibility: his strict personality may hide a more personal reason for joining the fight against anomalies.

What Role Could Exe Play in NTE Version 1.5?

The story has been getting darker lately. In Blackbird's Version 1.4 main story, The Witch, the Appraiser investigates a mysterious letter, unsettling rituals, and the secrets surrounding a remote town. It's a considerable change from Hethereau's everyday oddities.

With Exe and Elyms now drawing attention ahead of NTE Version 1.5, one possibility is that the next chapter will explore the Bureau's involvement in larger anomaly incidents. We might finally learn more about how E.T.D. 6 operates, what its captain knows, and whether the Bureau is telling the Appraiser everything.

Exe's digital-looking powers could also fit a storyline involving hidden information, restricted systems, or anomalies that blur the line between reality and virtual space. That's speculation for now, but there's plenty of room for the developers to explore it.

The biggest question is whether Exe will become an ally the Appraiser can trust or a captain whose orders create new complications. Either way, there's more to his character than a cool mechanical claw, and Version 1.5 could be where we finally start getting some answers.

NTE Exe Kit Leaks

Exe's latest kit leaks point to a Chaos damage dealer built around clone attacks, Perfect Dodges, Parries, and enemy grouping. He may also gain Chaos DMG bonuses and reduce enemy Chaos Resistance, giving him potential value beyond his own damage.

Here's a closer look at his leaked abilities, numerical details, and what they could mean for his playstyle. These values come from preliminary game data and may change before release.

AbilityLeaked DetailsCombat Impact / Unknowns
Basic Attacks5-stage Basic Attack sequence, Aerial Attack, Perfect Dodge Counter, QTE entry attack, and Skill.Suggests an active melee playstyle with aerial and switch-in options. Damage multipliers and individual attack properties remain unknown.
PassivePerfect Dodges and Parries grant separate score buffs lasting 20s. Dodging reportedly costs 15 Stamina.Rewards precise defensive timing. Score caps, stacking, consumption, and any connection to clone summoning are unconfirmed.
Clone Attacks9 clone attack entries. Each clone lasts 1.5s and attacks once 0.3s after spawning. Summoning has a separate cost mechanic.Potential coordinated damage. Simultaneous clone limits, targeting, damage classification, resource costs, and off-field persistence are unknown.
SkillPulls enemies together within an approximate 10-meter radius (1,000 engine units).Could improve AoE damage and clone targeting. Elite enemy interactions, Chaos DMG, cooldown, and pull duration remain unconfirmed.
UltimateCosts 100 Energy and activates a special state lasting 20s. The state ends if Exe is defeated.Potential extended combat window. Damage bonuses, invulnerability, clone interactions, and whether the state persists after switching are unknown.
Chaos BuffsPlanned Chaos DMG Bonus and enemy Chaos RES reduction.Potential personal damage amplification and team utility. Exact percentages, target scope, stacking rules, and durations are unknown.
Defeat-Triggered BuffA separate buff is reportedly triggered after defeating an enemy. No complete effect description is available.May be useful in multi-wave encounters. Its effect, duration, and value against single-target bosses remain unclear.

How Could Exe's Clone Mechanics Work?

The nine clone attacks are easily the most intriguing part of Exe's leaked kit. Each clone reportedly attacks just 0.3 seconds after spawning and disappears after 1.5 seconds, suggesting quick bursts of summoned damage rather than permanent companions.

But nine attack entries don't necessarily mean nine clones fighting at once. We still need to know how Exe summons them, what resource they consume, and whether they keep attacking after he leaves the field. His Perfect Dodge and Parry score buffs might be involved, although that connection hasn't been established.

His 10-meter enemy pull could also make these attacks much easier to land, especially against scattered mobs. Whether that works on heavier enemies is another matter. Nobody wants to build an entire rotation around grouping only to discover that the boss refuses to move.

Will Exe Be a Main DPS or Hybrid?

Exe's rumored kit offers an interesting combination of melee combos, defensive timing mechanics, clone attacks, crowd control, and a 20-second Ultimate state. The planned Chaos Resistance reduction could make him valuable alongside other Chaos damage dealers, although its team-wide benefit hasn't been confirmed.

The biggest question is how much field time Exe actually needs. If his clones and Ultimate state continue working after a character swap, he could fit into flexible Esper Cycle rotations as a hybrid or Sub-DPS. If those effects require him to stay active, he'll likely play more like an on-field Chaos carry.

His on-kill buff adds another question: could Exe perform especially well against waves of enemies, or will he be just as effective in single-target boss fights? We'll need the final effect description to know.

For now, Exe looks promising for both damage and utility, but it's too early to lock in a best build or team rotation. His clone costs, attack multipliers, Ultimate behavior, and Chaos RES reduction values will ultimately determine his role.

Exe Passive and Awakening Leaks (A1–A6)

Tomatonews mentions two passives and six Awakenings. The leak identifies several bonus categories, but it does not provide their percentages or full descriptions. In particular, extra effects are indicated around A3 and A6; the details of A5 and A6 are not established by the information currently available.

Awakening

Reported bonus

How to read it

A1

Chaos DMG Bonus

May improve personal damage; value and condition unknown

A2

ATK Bonus

Suggests ATK matters somewhere in the kit; no scaling formula yet

A3

Enemy Chaos Resistance reduction

Potential utility breakpoint, pending targets and duration

A4

DMG Bonus

Damage category and applicable attacks unknown

A5

Not specified

Do not assume a fixed skill-level increase

A6

Additional bonus indicated, effect unknown

Too early to call A6 a must-pull

Our early read: A3 is the most mechanically interesting clue because Chaos Resistance shred could affect Exe's value in teams, not just his personal screenshot damage. But a 5% shred for a moment and a large teamwide debuff would be very different outcomes. Wait for the actual numbers before planning high Awakenings.

NTE Exe Team Predictions

Exe's rumored Chaos type gives him three possible Esper Cycle directions: Scorch (Chaos + Incantation), Nova (Chaos + Psyche), and Discord (Chaos + Incantation + Psyche). These are early team concepts based on existing characters and reactions, not tested best-in-slot compositions.

The main thing to watch is Exe's field time: we still don't know whether his clones can attack after switching or whether his 20-second Ultimate state persists off field. That matters most in teams with another active Main DPS.

Core Strategy: Exe supplies Chaos, Zankou and Sakiri supply Incantation, and Blackbird supplies Psyche to enable Scorch, Nova, and Discord. Group enemies if Exe's leaked pull makes it into the final kit, then trigger Esper Cycles to pressure the Break Gauge.

What to Watch: Zankou and Blackbird both want meaningful field time. Without a dedicated sustain slot, this is a high-investment concept, not a proven boss team.

Core Strategy: Pair Exe's potential Chaos application with Zankou's Incantation attacks to maintain Scorch. Sakiri adds Incantation-side buffs, while Adler supplies shielding and extra safety during Exe's Perfect Dodge / Parry setup.

What to Watch: Exe and Zankou may compete for field time. The team becomes easier to justify if Exe's clones remain active after swapping.

Core Strategy: Exe enables Nova with Blackbird's Psyche attacks. Fadia contributes Nova-related durability utility, while Haniel supplies an ATK buff and additional Psyche support.

What to Watch: The lineup uses three Psyche characters. Check Exe's Chaos application, Blackbird's transformed-state field time, and the team's energy economy before treating it as an optimized rotation.

Team-building note: All three lineups require testing once Exe's final skill effects, Chaos application, clone behavior, and buff durations are available. For established character performance, see our NTE Tier List. For more details on existing teammates, read our Zankou Preview and Blackbird Preview.

Should You Pull Exe in NTE 1.5?

If you enjoy timing-based combat: Exe is one to watch. Perfect Dodge and Parry rewards could make him more hands-on than a typical press-Ultimate-and-swap character. The rumored crowd pull and clones also sound made for players who like to control the whole encounter.

If your account needs a Chaos option: his possible Chaos Resistance reduction is a meaningful reason to wait for more information. Compare what he actually adds against existing Chaos characters, rather than assuming every new S-Class automatically replaces your current favorite.

If you're deciding between Elyms and Exe: Elyms is being discussed as a Cosmos-oriented support for setups such as Shinku teams, while Exe's leaks point more strongly toward active Chaos damage and crowd control. If you need immediate support value, wait for Elyms' finalized kit first. If you want Exe for the character and combat style, saving now is reasonable—but neither banner is fully confirmed yet.

If you're chasing Awakenings or a signature Arc: hold your resources until we see final values. A3 sounds tempting on paper, but no one can calculate its return on investment without its actual Chaos Resistance shred amount.

Final Thoughts

Exe has gone from an intriguing E.T.D. 6 mystery to one of the most mechanically interesting names on the NTE 1.5 watchlist. Perfect Dodge and Parry points, nine short-lived clone attacks, enemy grouping and a 20-second Ultimate state could add up to a very active Chaos character—provided those leaked pieces survive the final balance pass.

For now, the smartest move is to save your pulls, watch the official 1.5 preview and treat the clone details as STC. Once the actual Skill descriptions, signature Arc and multipliers arrive, we'll have what we need to turn this preview into a proper Exe build. Until then, no amount of theorycrafting can make `Exe.exe` launch earlier.

NTE Exe FAQ

When will Exe release in NTE?

The current community prediction is December 2, 2026, during Version 1.5 Phase 2. The game has not officially announced that date or Exe's banner order.

Is Exe a Chaos Main DPS or Support?

Exe is associated with Chaos. The leaked attacks and Ultimate suggest a damage-focused kit, while the reported crowd control and Chaos Resistance reduction could give him hybrid utility. His final role remains unconfirmed.

Can Exe summon nine clones at the same time?

The tomatonews leak mentions nine clone attacks, each with a 1.5-second lifetime and an attack 0.3 seconds after appearing. It does not say nine clones can coexist or that clones persist after Exe swaps out.

Does Exe need 100 Energy for his Ultimate?

100 Energy is the value reported in the current STC information. It could change before launch, and Exe's Energy generation has not been documented in full.

What is Exe's best Arc or Awakening?

No signature Arc or finalized build is available yet. A3 is worth tracking because the leak mentions enemy Chaos Resistance reduction, but there are no verified percentages to rank Awakening upgrades.
